I usually try to avoid listening to Evanescence. Because once I heard her hauntingly beautiful voice I can't help but play another Evanescence song. And then another one. And then another one. And then another one.
The Goddess Amy! My brother died of cancer when I was 5 he was 9. This song tears me apart every time. Cannot describe the feeling its an emptiness, like something is always missing. It turns your family upside down forever. Being on the opposite side of age meant I was confused as to why everyone suddenly became morose all went dark. Even to this day 50 years later my family has the hardest time even mentioning his death.
Amy’s voice is so insanely beautiful. She also lost her brother too unfortunately. RIP to my guy. I think you should check out everybody’s fool or lithium or even the new song “wasted on you was awesome and the video was interesting
She actually had a hard younger life really. Bother and sister dying young. Horrible boyfriends. People telling her what a failure the band would be because of her fronting it (being a girl). How she came out being the person she is is amazing. She could have easily been one of those people hating everyone and everything. All thou early on there was stories about don't cross Amy when she was in a foul mood. But I guess they applies to a lot of people. She really seems to be a nice person watching all the interview videos. Could it be an act? Probably not. You'd screw up somewhere along the line showing your true colors.

It's the other way around. Amy was six when her sister, Bonnie, passed away at the age of three. They never found out what killed her, it was just "an undiagnosed illness." It remains a mystery to this day. She lost her little brother Robby, who was about 25, a couple years ago, too. Add in the abuse, and possibly rape, that she endured at the hands of Ben Moody when she was a teenager, and she's suffered incredible loss and tragedy from a very young age.
She was never assaulted or abused but she has experienced loss and a solid anxiety/ depression. But with that said Ben is weird and probably said some really mean things when he left the band like his band after evanescence was called “we are the fallen” and was made up of previous ev members with a singer who sounds almost exactly like Amy and split after 1 album
