Usually a character would blush and say “ahh no you’ve got it wrong!!” But the fact that- when asked about Drew- she’s written to say “to be honest... I’ve never really given it that much thought...” while blushing shyly and fiddling with her fingers (not saying no to the idea immediately out of embarrassment like you’d expect) and THEN at the end of the same episode she blushes again simply because she’s watching Drew walk away... Added to another episode where she literally blushes again just watching him walk away literally because he complimented her and said “you were good! Take care”. And my FAVORITE episode where Drew saves her friends and acts like it was no big deal, then when Ash is explaining at the end of the episode that Drew saved the day she COMPLETELY ignores him to walk over and talk to Drew (with Max smirking to himself saying “I don’t think she heard you Ash...”). I dunno I just think it’s cute so I’m gonna support it! Obviously feel free to disagree, if you don’t ship it that’s cool but I just love ships like this so much ^-^
Also in their final episode together, when May is talking to Drew alone on stage and says she was just thinking about him and Drew is all “were they good thoughts?” And May blushes and waves her hands around like “of course they were!!” That’s sweet on it’s own. But in the Japanese translation the dialogue is actually supposed to be Drew saying “thinking about me...?” And May blushing like “ahh not like that!” Which I just find kinda cute!

But it is obvious that may forgot about drew plenty of times until she started having thoughts about the rest of her future which happened at the end of the show mostly. Drew doesn’t even fit Mays personality and was a bitch most of the series, I don’t know one single person who ships contests.

I actually really hope in the new series they have May come back with Drew and they stay for a couple of episodes. They announce they're boyfriend and girlfriend (or dating) so Ash seems happy but has one of those confused faces. All the rest are like wth. Then Ash introduces them and the two enter a contest where they have to compete against each other and don't want to compete since they're dating. So they quit, Ash tries to give advice but doesn't get it because he lost his chance like 1 million times! Like what's wrong with you, Ash?! Soon they work it out and become dating couples again! Happily ever after! (BTW these are in separate episodes.)

As a contestshipper and pokeshipper i thoroughly enjoyed this video, however i was rather surprised that "Spontaneous Combusken" was not shown for a number of reasons. Firstly there is May's reaction to the letter she received previously from who she thought was drew, she can be seen holding not only the letter but the rose in what is supposed to be some time later. Also, when may is asked if her and drew are an item she says "she's never thought about it" however her blushing and general reaction seem to imply the opposite. Furthermore when Brianna reveals her true intentions with Drew she seems uncomfortable despite saying its ok and this seems to heat up their rivalry (it should also be noted how Brianna says even she has noticed that May is the only female coordinator drew seems to respect). Lastly in the end he compliments May on her performance and she can be seen blushing as he leaves. Anyway sorry for the long comment, overall a great video :D

Ariel Tang I've always loved pokeshipping since I was very young and I will love it forever. Never gave a try for advance, pearl, negai, amour, etc. When May appeared I was upset but I gave her contests a try and I liked her presentations and most Drew's. He made me love contests. I didnt fall for contestshipping until the whynaut episode but I fell hard for them. Even I wrote a pokeshipping fanfic and I ended putting Ash and Misty on the background and contestshipping as main pairing. I drew a lot May and Drew more times than Ash or Misty. I also love ikarishipping. Its the only pairing I drew a fanart kissing. I know its not canon and it will never be but I love it. I want to think they could work in a further future. And I dont care about Serena, she can end with whoever who is not Ash or Drew or Paul for sure. So I dont ship her with anyone.
Anyone who has seen that season of pokemon and read the pokemon adventures manga (also known as pokemon special) would notice that drew/shuu is a combination of gary/shigeru, ruby, and wally. Anyone who has read that manga should know about the only confirmed official shipping pairing in that series - and how similar it is to contestshipping. They did a much better job in creating may/haruka's rival than they did creating dawn/hikaru's rival or serena's rival.

I wonder why very few people mentioned about pokemon ag 162 . I watched In japanese and there is a moment where a girl asks if may like drew and may blushes . In the same episode, drew also blush when he said it is may's fault for misunderstanding while may countered that she only knows someone who will send her rose is drew. The one who said may never blush because of drew must be on denial. There is one more thing, in japanese version of the episode where haruka is in slump, drew comes after ash received many things from his friends and families, may said that she is surprised that she just thought about drew and drew suddenly appears . After that drew says with a questioning tone thinking? and may immediately says that it is not in that way which means romantic way blushing even though no one said anything about that. This is different from the dubbed version

His cruel sincerity but still special attention to May and the only 2 left, definetely made May to remember the promise at the beach at the end of the hoenn festival. I was seven when I first started watching Pokemon, I got the DVD sets from Video Easy and watched them at home, at this point I had no idea what shipping was but every time Drew was in an episode I got exited because I wanted him and May to interact, the point I'm making is that I shipped them before I even knew what shipping was, I was only seven... and I could already see them as a couple. There's another episode (I forgot the name) that (sort of) provides evidence. It was in the episode where there was this fan girl of May and Drew. Basically, May and girl goes to meet Drew and then there was this scene where Drew is relaxing and then (I forgot the scene) there was this scene and all I remember was Roselia laughing and then Drew blushing and then leaving. Also, in the episode, the girl claims May likes Drew and (I think) she said (something like this) "Well, I've never really thought about that.".

Usually a character would blush and say “ahh no you’ve got it wrong!!” But the fact that- when asked about Drew- she’s written to say “to be honest... I’ve never really given it that much thought...” while blushing shyly and fiddling with her fingers (not saying no to the idea immediately out of embarrassment like you’d expect) and THEN at the end of the same episode she blushes again simply because she’s watching Drew walk away... Added to another episode where she literally blushes again just watching him walk away literally because he complimented her and said “you were good! Take care”. And my FAVORITE episode where Drew saves her friends and acts like it was no big deal, then when Ash is explaining at the end of the episode that Drew saved the day she COMPLETELY ignores him to walk over and talk to Drew (with Max smirking to himself saying “I don’t think she heard you Ash...”).
I dunno I just think it’s cute so I’m gonna support it! Obviously feel free to disagree, if you don’t ship it that’s cool but I just love ships like this so much ^-^
Also in their final episode together, when May is talking to Drew alone on stage and says she was just thinking about him and Drew is all “were they good thoughts?” And May blushes and waves her hands around like “of course they were!!” That’s sweet on it’s own. But in the Japanese translation the dialogue is actually supposed to be Drew saying “thinking about me...?” And May blushing like “ahh not like that!” Which I just find kinda cute!
@@koemi0199 to most people, they usually act like a 80% best friend rivalry, ash and may has done the same thing like when May blushes several times when ash was included in that situation. But it is obvious that may forgot about drew plenty of times until she started having thoughts about the rest of her future which happened at the end of the show mostly. Drew doesn’t even fit Mays personality and was a bitch most of the series, I don’t know one single person who ships contests.

Then Ash introduces them and the two enter a contest where they have to compete against each other and don't want to compete since they're dating. So they quit, Ash tries to give advice but doesn't get it because he lost his chance like 1 million times! Like what's wrong with you, Ash?! Soon they work it out and become dating couples again! Happily ever after! (BTW these are in separate episodes.)

As a contestshipper and pokeshipper i thoroughly enjoyed this video, however i was rather surprised that "Spontaneous Combusken" was not shown for a number of reasons. Firstly there is May's reaction to the letter she received previously from who she thought was drew, she can be seen holding not only the letter but the rose in what is supposed to be some time later. Also, when may is asked if her and drew are an item she says "she's never thought about it" however her blushing and general reaction seem to imply the opposite. Furthermore when Brianna reveals her true intentions with Drew she seems uncomfortable despite saying its ok and this seems to heat up their rivalry (it should also be noted how Brianna says even she has noticed that May is the only female coordinator drew seems to respect). Lastly in the end he compliments May on her performance and she can be seen blushing as he leaves.
Anyway sorry for the long comment, overall a great video :D

When May appeared I was upset but I gave her contests a try and I liked her presentations and most Drew's. He made me love contests.
I didnt fall for contestshipping until the whynaut episode but I fell hard for them. Even I wrote a pokeshipping fanfic and I ended putting Ash and Misty on the background and contestshipping as main pairing. I drew a lot May and Drew more times than Ash or Misty.
I also love ikarishipping. Its the only pairing I drew a fanart kissing.
I know its not canon and it will never be but I love it. I want to think they could work in a further future.
And I dont care about Serena, she can end with whoever who is not Ash or Drew or Paul for sure. So I dont ship her with anyone.
Anyone who has seen that season of pokemon and read the pokemon adventures manga (also known as pokemon special) would notice that drew/shuu is a combination of gary/shigeru, ruby, and wally. Anyone who has read that manga should know about the only confirmed official shipping pairing in that series - and how similar it is to contestshipping. They did a much better job in creating may/haruka's rival than they did creating dawn/hikaru's rival or serena's rival.

I love ContestShipping, what I think is that they actually are together because, why would Nintendo make so many romantic hints if they aren't in a relationship? Well of course they are in a friend relationship but I mean a romantic relationship. Him having feelings for her and May blushing every time someone mentions her liking Drew. I wonder why very few people mentioned about pokemon ag 162 . I watched In japanese and there is a moment where a girl asks if may like drew and may blushes . In the same episode, drew also blush when he said it is may's fault for misunderstanding while may countered that she only knows someone who will send her rose is drew. The one who said may never blush because of drew must be on denial. There is one more thing, in japanese version of the episode where haruka is in slump, drew comes after ash received many things from his friends and families, may said that she is surprised that she just thought about drew and drew suddenly appears . After that drew says with a questioning tone thinking? and may immediately says that it is not in that way which means romantic way blushing even though no one said anything about that. This is different from the dubbed version

Basically, May and girl goes to meet Drew and then there was this scene where Drew is relaxing and then (I forgot the scene) there was this scene and all I remember was Roselia laughing and then Drew blushing and then leaving. Also, in the episode, the girl claims May likes Drew and (I think) she said (something like this) "Well, I've never really thought about that.".
