Missing 4 conversions played a major factor in Manly's defeat, always on the back foot.
Panthers missed 3 conversions and they would have still won.

Why Hynes was doing the kicking in State of Origin over Luai is beyond me. From a Manly supporter.
@@thomasrodwell563 havent got a clue if you got two competent kickers in my opinion its better to vary it and use both especially in such a pressure cooker enviroment where the pressure on the kicker would be high.
Luai just needs to be NSW 7 at this point. Hynes is a wasted position, put burton or a big 5/8 there, id grab cody over hynes at this point
Man, Turuva's defence is non existent. He keeps coming in towards center to defend giving his opposite wing ready tries. I reckon he costs more points than the scoring potential he has unfortunately. Last week's game saw To'o's wing sub as a possible replacement for Turuva
All depends on his inside players aswell on there reads if they get it wrong it shows on his side not just turuva

@@ufam.6904 yeah I was checking on that but he kept coming away from his line and so his opposite just had to catch the pass to put down. You have to trust your centres to cover their man, it's on them not you as the winger, that close to the try line.

If Manly had a kicker like Ridge they might been like 30 - 32 .... they left 10 points out from their miss kicks which admittedly were difficult ones.
If both teams got all their kicks it would have been Manly 30 Panthers 38.

About time NRL insisted in players with long hair wear 'hair nets' - the hair pulling was not intention by Brown just grabbing the jersey with the hair caught up in the tackle - Panther's played a great game of Rugby League!

There needs to be a rule, no hair past the collar, Brown was clutching and all he caught hold of was flowing locks.
Agreed that he would have got nothing if Jerome's hair wasn't there. He had an opportunity to let it go, but he used his hair to pull him in 🤦 Jerome would had simply got past him if that didn't happen.

Manly fans must be so disappointed with the attitude of their team. They had every chance to win this game but didn't show any grit. When Louie had the ball prier to passing in one of the last tries, i counted to five before he passed the ball and no body even attempted to tackle him. One of the most dangerous players in the game and manly just watched him pass the ball and Penrith score. You didn't deserve to win manly and that's how it has been all season so far.
I reckon they are more disappointed that DCE only wins origin's for Qld not Premierships for Manly

if he threw it at someone then maybe, well yes as its got sprigs on it, much worse than the ball, but he did not throw it at anyone, and it did not effect play as play had stopped as a try had been scored.
turuva went into touch before the first try. nathan brown report and penalty was a joke. luai's responsibility to tie up his hair. liam henry no try. luai holds brooks and obstruction cause of that. typical panthers holding on to markers and what he does repeatedly.

I don't usually like to whinge about reffing but this match did have an usual number go calls go the Panthers way. Home ground advantage I guess.

Got to admit that's not the first time I've seen it happen: He's a danger to himself with the long-hair and it's inadvertent penalty which is not exactly great for the game if it keeps happening. It's natural human reaction to grasp and grab in response to tackling and grappling players, afterall.
