To win the NRL grand final is an amazing achievement. To win 3 in a row unbelievable. To be down 24-8 with 20 minutes to go in a grand final and comeback to win we may never see again. Surely one of the greatest rugby league teams ever...brilliant match.

This Grand final was like an Hollywood movie script and the main actor (Nathan Cleary) steered his team who were down on troops injured, points and belief. He carried that team in the final 15minutes. Probably the greatest half back performance of all time. He just booked himself a seat to share the immortality with Joey Johns in the halfback category.
And by having no 6 and no 13 next to him for the end there was unbelievable

Moses Leota is up there with Haas on my book…so underrated..he’s a machine who can snap blokes and runs harder than anyone..the last 20mins along with cleary he was a beast

That crighton kick and then the chase for the in goal was crucial. You also can't sleep on cleary running the ball near the try line. Reminds me on how he nearly pulled a comeback at the 2020 grand final against the storm. What a truly epic final

Broncos were winning 24-8 at minute 60 of the game. How Penrith pulled a win with 26-24 with only 20 minutes left is simply unheard of. This is why they are 3 time undisputed grand finalists.

As a Parra fan, congrats to our father. Can't hate anymore, what a ridiculous achievement. Haas and Flegler were too much for the Penrith bench forwards, but that changed as soon as Leota and Fish came back on. One of the greatest prop duo's of all time.

Cleary's response to missing that tackle leading to Broncos' last try is phenomenal. He played the last 20 min like a madman. Nice example of how to turn one's frustration in to success.

I you had to pick a moment that turned a game.... a 40-20 kick on the 3rd tackle at 10 points down. It was a gutsy play that had to be executed perfectly. Without that kick they may have let the game slip away from them. Nathan Cleary stood up at the right time and proved he is one of the best half-backs of all time.
Penrith Panthers with the greatest comeback in an NRL Grand Final and securing their 3-peat. What a club. Hats off to all the Panthers but great effort from the Brisbane Broncos.

And seconds later they do high shot on reece walsh and don't give us a penalty if it went how it should've they wouldn't have gotten that 2 points

You could tell the commentators were hoping the Broncos would win. The excitement in ALL their voices when the score was 24 - 8, to the slow realisation when the Panthers came back from the dead.

They were wooden spooners in 2020 so to make the GF 3 years later is pretty good
I think you're being extremely harsh. They didn't go dropping balls, they didn't go missing simple tackles, they weren't slow to form their lines. In that key period, the game was taken from them by extraordinary play. Cleary sets up 2 tries and then scores the winner on his own whilst pulling off a sideline conversion and some genius level plays to help Penrith gain additional possession.
My Dragons produced a great choke against Melbourne in 1999 and I call that a choke because we played so poorly after taking what should have been a decisive lead. We bombed a certain try, dropped balls, gave away dumb penalties, including a penalty try, etc.
That was the greatest game of rugby league I've ever watched, only fitting for Cleary to score the winning try. LETS GO PANTHERS🥳

Panther speed switched on at 3/4 mark, astonishing to watch. Some unforced errors during the momentum creating opportunities for playmaker Cleary nullifying the score gap to +2, incredulous, NRL entertainment gone crazy. Congrats to both teams making the GF2023.

They showed great resilience and never gave up. Nathan Cleary is the one and only king of Penrith, a player who will always strive for success and will never give up. My team eventually won, but it was really a huge victory for Australian Rugby League. The skills and grit on display were both entertaining and inspiring. I needed this after the shocking Wallabies campaign at the RWC in France.
Congratulations, Panthers! Four Grand Finals in a row, back-to-back minor premiers, and now three premierships in a row! They have won the greatest Grand Final since 2015, possibly ever! Simply a herculean effort and one of the great sporting achievements of this modern era, and they’ve done it largely off the back of their iron wall of defence. They lost many players since the 2020 GF and if they had backed off or become complacent at any point, they don’t win three in a row. Simply one of the most dominant teams of the entire NRL era. If they can keep their core guys like Cleary and Edwards, I can see them daring to dream of further glory. Nathan Cleary surely has cemented himself into claiming Grand Final and rugby league immortality. This club has done some amazing things and it will probably be a long time before we see anything like it again. They will be remembered forever.

Wow!!!! What a Final!!! This is one if not the greatest final in NRL history by a loooong shot. Panthers will go down as the greatest NRL team. When broncos was winning with 24 points, I actually thought that was it. But that bounce back was the greatest of all time.

Everybody just be quiet and take it in. One of the best Grand Final performances of all time. Panther fans don't need to boast. The performance itself is simply sufficient. Let's all just take it in. What a brilliant Grand Final. Whether on the winner's or runner-up's sides, it was an absolutely amazing spectacle. Lived up to the hype AND MORE!! Cleary, for over four years now has cemented his place as the best player of his generation. This night's performance was only proof of that. We don't need to argue or say anything about it because it's all gone now. Cleary, you sir are a sheer spark of brilliance and a future hall of famer (maybe even a future Immortal). NOTHING MORE AND NOTHING LESS. I tip my hat to you Panthers. One of the greatest teams of the modern era.
