Thanks for explaining why you chose "warm" or "cool" colors. I often get stuck on what colors to use when I'm starting with a blank canvas. Reading the other comments also helped me as well. Playing with lights, shadows, and not being afraid of detailing here and there seems to be the key, or at least a good start. I've still a ways to go before I can paint like this, but your video inspired me to continue my art journey. Thanks!
Wow, thank you! I have a deviant art account where I post mostly practice fan art under the same pen name= PuftPrin. I'll be sure to inbox you once I've taken on a task that has nothing to do with fan art, lol. Thanks again, your work is fantastic. :)
Absolutely stunning, usually see people blocking in colours straight away but love how you start with a sketch. I'll have to give that approach a try :)
Very cool painting, you do some awesome environments. I liked your note about the one layer/one brush thing. I feel like I sometimes spend more time messing around with brushes than actually working.
Amazing work on this one. Love the cinematic effect you did with the minor scrolling of each level of depth. Really makes it come alive. Especially with the (bugs?) flying around :)
just so awesome and the annotations are great, as it communicates artists thoughts while he is working, and is helpful for learners like me, just subscribed your channel, thanks for sharing, m you get 100,000 subscribers very soon, and keep posting videos please :D
Hello! I really like your explanation of the process. I have a problem when I paint: I would start to paint, but have a tough time getting pass the block in phase, since it just looks like a blob of color that doesn't resemble anything and I wouldn't want to continue. How do I get over it and just stick with it until it gets to the detail phase?
sorry didn't read the description, I've got photoshop cc and wacom tablet but I prefer to draw on the screen I am looking at I'll use my tablet before investing in a wacom screen I've just got the bamboo pad at the moment, love your work.
That's great:) I exercise and still far I have such effects- xxlegendary-furyxx.deviantart.com/art/Best-Trio-618093458 Thank you for an answer^^You are Awesome artist;)i love your Landscape art^^
can i ask what software are you using I am going to start using my galaxy note to do art work I do a lot of photo manipulation art but fancy doing free hand
Awesome stuff :D I'm just wondering how you at the start of the video animated the painting, you obviously have to cut the image into layers, but do you use any specific software to move the layers or create that fly swarm effect in the forebround?
Watching stuff like this is so cool but really discouraging. I literally just started Photoshop this morning so of course my drawings are going to be terrible at first but I watch this then look back at my drawing and It looks like a big blob, and i'm trying to draw a forest scene. I do have a question though, I've noticed people flipping their image in a lot of these videos, why do they do that? just to see what angle it looks better on or?
+Primm Echo 1) Don't get discouraged. Sometimes I feel the same when I look at better artists but I think we shouldn't compare ourselfes with other people and just look at our progress. :) 2)Your eyes get used to the image. When you flip it you will see it with a fresh look and it's easier to spot mistakes.
+Tom Prante Thank you! :) I'm starting to get a lot better actually. I just need to invest in a better drawing tablet mines a little glitchy. And thank you that's a good idea I never thought of that.
hi , nice video. I am having problems blurring some colors. may i know which brush are you using to blur the sharper colors? except using the smudge tool. thanks in advance.
+gil florendo I don't know if my technique is smart but I paint over a spot many times to make it blurred. In my experience it works well with a brush that has some texture to it.
Every artist and art style tells a story. The music kind of put me off on this one,but i think it started off lonely and became happy throughout the Painting
Very beautifully done and amazing to watch. I presume you painted with actual paint before you were able to do this digitally? If so, do you miss actual "paint"?
howiwondrwhatur I've started with digital painting but I made some paintings with actual paint. It "feels" better than digital painting but it's also more effort to get all the materials.
Ich painte immer in Paint Tool sai und versuche wegen den Brushes auch mit Photoshop zu malen. Wie flipst du in PS? Flipst du das Bild oder kann man das auch mal eben wie bei Sai im navigator flippen?
Pretty painting, but imo you should try to tell more of a story. For example adding a character to this scene would make it much greater. Just some feedback #keepitup
Such skill in your sense of color theory... your color useage is just amazing
+Benjamin MOrrissey Thanks Benjamin :)

I always find speed painting educational, but your's with the initial sketching and annotations is really helpful. Beautiful work!

Wow love the process and beautiful painting. The contrast in the background to foreground elements are great! Thanks for the annotations too :)
I keep coming back to this video. I'm not going to stop until I have Artwork and Animations as good as this on my own channel.
Wow, this speedart is so interesting. Watching you go from nothing to a beautiful painting is a pleasure.

Amazing work! If I may ask, where did you learn?
Hello! I really like your explanation of the process.

Kyogre40 You have to paint the light and the shadows. Then you can see the form of the object and you just have to detail it. Do you know what I mean?
awesome and really useful! thank u for sharing ^^
Anya Ra Thank you!
Very good video with annotations hepfull thanks ! :D
Wow, it looks so easy for you ♥ ... I always struggle with painting of landscape and nature. Thanks for inspiration (or desperation? 😂)...
Thank you very much! Amazing!

+steven bowden Yeah the wacom screens are very expensive. Especially if you want a bigger one.

I have a one question-if you can make the same picture on the Paint tool sai?Becouse I use actually this program;)

+ZeMagicalPot I use Adobe After Effects to move the layers. The flying swarm ist just a video I put in front of the layers. :)
Du hackst :C
Aber mal Spaß beiseite, wie lange hast du gebraucht um das so zu perfektionieren?
Es ist einfach wunderschön ♥.♥
