    Rescuing is much better than buying. There's so many need good homes! All our horses or at least most of them have been rescued. The two remaining are a Friesian X Thoroughbred who's mother was rescued by my mother and who gave birth after she was rescued and Mum took a little Shetland home from the same place and unfortunately our stallion Tyson (also a rescue who we had for years and sadly lost to grass sickness) covered her and she had Blossom. Both the mum's have since passed on but got to live their old ages without being separated from their last foals. Our dogs are always rescues as are my cats. We also feed and treat foxes for mange and back home in Scotland, the woodland left to us on the death of our parents (no money lots of trees lol!) has been maintained to support indigenous wildlife and plants/trees. We try to do our bit to reduce our footprints too.

    Such a sad situation to get into. It is obvious that the original horses were well bred but the owners let things get way out of hand. There are some amazing looking projects in this group for the right person. It's another example of people not gelding animals and letting mares reproduce time and time again. Great work from WHW and partner agencies.

      In New Mexico and Arizona people just turn them loose with the wild horses but they don't all make it because of food and water

    Thank goodness these horses have finally been helped. Driven past the site for years. Hopefully the owners have been prosecuted for neglect so that in a few years time the same situation does not reoccur.

    Finally something has been done! This site has been like this for years & years! I used to pass this site every day/night as I'm a lorry driver & always used to look across to this area wondering when something would be done?! I had called another rescue centre numerous times but nothing ever seemed to be done. I hope they checked the water area's/fenced areas next to the motorway? I saw one stuck in one patch before but nothing ever done 😕

    Thank u so much for taking on the difficult task of accepting newbies 2 ur facility in order 2 give them a 2nd chance at life & freedom from struggle, fear, & death. May u be blessed w/continued resources 2 afford da services provided & have da right minded ppl who have da animals best interest at heart!
    Its very hard for me 2 understand da illogical thought processes of breeders(regardless of type). I guess in their minds da more born equals more money for them 2 possibly receive. Sad & disgusting part is...well its ALL sad & disgusting, from da breeder thinking its ok 2 treat a living creature as such, 2 da middle man who takes da babies & younguns 2 pet stores & sell em off as if they'd had a good start 2 life but knowing da atrocities of where they truly came from, 2 some pet stores turning a blind eye as theyre making big bucks on da poor babies. They say money is da root of all evil, here's another proof. It seems money & greed make us so ignorant & insensitive 2 others; how're u able 2 sleep at night & live w/urself & da irreparable damage 2 some of these beautiful animals.
    In my mind, if i ever wanted 2 raise a species 2 sell, i would want 2 raise them kindly, loving, & humanely in a safe environment. In turn i'd have healthy, happy, & easily adoptable animals 2 those looking for pets. Not da scared, terrified, & angry dog(or untouchable horse) who has behavior issues or physical disabilities, that NOBODY feels is important 2 disclose!!
    I pray & hope ur organization & others continue 2 crack down on those making poor/bad judgement calls in da ways they treat(abuse, sell, & traffic) ppl(children, disabled, elderly, etc) & animals(domestic & wild).

    Animals of all species always pay for the mistakes & deliberate actions that humans make. I wish these people would just be honest early on & admit they can no longer care for their horses, & either sell them or surrender them to the RSPCA. 😡

  • @toshmarie3499
    @toshmarie3499 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thank u for helping these lovelies, as they cant help themselves.
    Sucks those ppl cared more bout their "reputation" & how many ppl would be "traipsing on their land" than da actual PURPOSE & REASON for their so called breeding reputation. Hope at least they are punished by never being allowed 2 'care for' & run such a business ever again!!

      So this doesn’t disturb you? 0:18
      Those poor horses are so skinny. You shouldn’t be able to see that much bone on a horse. If you have horses that look like that.... they need more food. You shouldn’t be able to see the bones on the haunches, even the ribs. Some breeds are leaner than others, but thats too much to be shown. Poor horses!

    • @louisejane8049
      @louisejane8049 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Neglect doesn't just come in the form a horse being skinny and its scary how you think these are in good shape

    Why put on scary white jumpsuits to gain their trust.
    Food rewards for what????You speak to the horses?? They understand English? Just let them be horses. Why train them?? Let them be.
