Neglected rescued horses now helping humans - equine assisted therapy

Three World Horse Welfare rescue horses have been rehomed to Tower House Horses, a charity dedicated to improving the emotional health and wellbeing of people through their horses.
This film is about the rescued horses, their background and how they are helping people through equine assisted therapy. The horses are helping people overcome anxiety, depression and life trauma. Equine assisted therapy helps rebuild confidence and emotional resilience. Helping victims of domestic abuse and previous offenders, people suffering from alcohol and substance misuse and a lack of self esteem.

Horses are wonderful, beautiful animals. I absolutely love them. How anyone can neglect and abuse them is something I will NEVER understand. How can anyone do this? No horse should be afraid of people, ever, and it angers me that there are people out there who don't care. But thank you World Horse Welfare for taking care of these beautiful souls. They deserve a happy and wonderful life.

There is something about horses which does affect you. They seem to want to help you, make a connection to have you realize things are ok.
These horses look so calm and at peace now, so different from their horrific past. No surprise to see they're doing a fantastic job at Tower House Horses, a brilliant charity! Amazing work as always by World Horse Welfare with their rescue work. If ever I'm in a position to give a horse a home, I know I'll be contacting WHW 😊❤🐴❤

The brown pony at 3:03 is very similar to one of my prior Icelandic ponies -if a certificate of origin isn't available you could check the breed: When it is able to go "rack", "slow gait", "running walk" or - as it is called in Germany - "Tölt" it is perhaps an Icelandic one or a mix. Then it will have long and nice fur from autumn to spring and will cost a lot.
The pony at 4:07 is perhaps an Expoor-pony. I googled: they cost (pure breed) 7.000 - 10.000 Euros!

Stronger laws might end abuse like this....How about making selling slaughtered horse meat in stores illegal. Then no profit in treating horses like meat.......
If you did not have the former owner if that pony arrested it is your fault as much as thiers
WTF cant the owner see the neglected of his horses >!!!.. in other cases when a owner is sick or so in selling or giving the horse ...to a wellfare
If you do not prosecute the abusers you are complicate to the abuse
They can only do so much and so can the police unfortunately. CPS and a judge have the final say
Stephanie, if we're up to me the abusers would never abuse again,after the guillotine they would not be able to engage in animal abuse of any kind.Some say they need to be educated,sorry you can't fix stupid.My method eliminates the continuation. Case solved.
