They could have used a better microphone!! The sound engineer wasn’t too smart by using a foam windscreen!! They are inside,and messed up the parameters of her voice!! I would understand and this would be totally necessary if this were outside!!

We went to see this movie one night at a drive in movie ... now long gone ... this song was so great that we got in our car the next night and went to see it again just to hear Lulu sing it again .... The movie and the song still put lump in my throat thinking about when we were two young kids .... WOW ..

Appears to be an older video. The first copyright is 2005. More current photos of her at 75 years old have her looking a little bit different, although still very good. And while her voice here does not seem to be perfect, you have to keep in mind that we are all comparing it to the studio version that we remember.
I was very young when this movie came to our local picture theatre, my mother a big LuLu fan sneaked myself and my 3 siblings into the theatre to watch the movie "To Sir with love". Didn't know much about the movie only the song till recently I found and purchased the DVD from my local Hospice shop. I've watched it 2 times now, the song and my Mother brought back memories 😢❤

Back in 1993 I went to London to visit a friend for a few days. He had been in a pretty big UK band in the mid 80s. On day one he said, hey Lulu lives around the corner. Let's go see if she's home. I said sure and we walked over to her home. What truly weird timing. She pulled up in front of her home just as we got there. She had small children and she was helping them out of the car. I think it was a SUV. And I seem to recall that she had grocery bags too. What an amazing moment. Lulu was a mom! :) She didn't know my friend. But she gave us a sweet smile as she went about her efforts. We stood there trying to look cool. But we were total fan boys.
