    Using this keyboard now, love it! Feels so solid, and the switches are beautiful. Not far off a custom keyboard I used to have

    This seems to be a very reasonable price for a good update to their G915. I see a lot of complaints about Logitech not using HE switches yet, but I’m not so sure this board needs that, considering the travel distance of each switch is so short.
    I would like to see them make a HE TKL at some point. Lightspeed tech is really great and I think wireless HE would be great.
    Glad to see your channel picking up speed.

      @refragged the G515 is a decent new keyboard from the legnedary Logitech. Logitech has a new CEO and hopefully she can turn the company around...sans the subscription mouse debacle. I thoroughly enjoyed my week on the G515 and its solid...and very glad Logitech didn't try to charge $250 for it! Thanks for the kid comments. Very much enjoying the content creation hobby and learning how to make vids.

    Settled down for this baby waiting patiently for the true sequel of G915 with finally a hot-swap option. That'd be the ultimate keyboards killer across the entire market.

    • @mynusten
      @mynusten  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @sixtheninth agree with you on that point. There are just not that many, low-profile keyboards that are focused on gamers. Right now, the G515 is probably the best in today's market.

    Logitech low profile keyboard are especially interesting for me, because the hight of their chassis is low and their keycaps are nearly flat. Most of other keyboards have more konvex keycaps.
    Media keys are the only reason I wait for a successor of the 915. Tried the 515 last week in a electronic store and compared it directly to the 915. The typing feeling and keycaps are so much better on the 515. Thats the reason I expect a new version of the 915 soon. Cannot be that their flagship low profile keyboard is so much worse than their cheaper model. I hope the new 915 won't be that expensive, but keyboard prices escalated so much in the las couple of years... Great review!

      @GentaFanboy The G915 is an aged keyboard and I'm surprised Logitech still sells it...the G515 keyboard is superior in all aspects. It is nice to see that Logitech is finally releasing decent keyboard, but it has a way to go to catch the competition. As for the big brands, Asus and Corair are eating Logitech up, but maybe Logitech's new CEO will right the ship. Zero media keys I can somewhat undertand at $140, but not to inlcude a volume dial is head scratcher for sure. Thanks for the kind comments! 👍

    I love my G915 but it's a bit pricey and I wanted another keyboard for my office. Originally went with the Razer Deathstalker v2 pro but I grew to dislike optical switches and the actuation was way too shallow. Bought this G515 (tactile) on a whim and I absolutely love it. I think I may love it more than my G915. All in all, a great purchase.

      The G515 is the first Logitech G keyboard produced in a while that’s worthy of purchase and offered at a reasonable price. The doubleshot PBT keycaps are a much needed improvement and the switches are pretty decent.

    I kept looking to see if there was any reviews since I recently just got one, one thing I have issue with is the rgb software I use hasn’t added this to their device list. Thanks for the review though, even though I have it already very nice to watch someone else’s review on it

    Mechanical keyboards are the way to go now, esp at their unreal budget prices. Id never go back to logitech keebs again, or any big brand. Good for mice, terrible for boards.

    • @mynusten
      @mynusten  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @cormacc7 mostly agree on the big brands. Logtiech has fallen way behind, but the Razer Azoth is still outstanding. That said, gamers absolutely can get stunning, mechnaical keyboards at very affordable prices. I'm writing my review on the NuPhy Field75 HE, which comes with stock adjustable magnetic switches and the keyboard only costs $150. It is outsanding. I'm going to check out a few other brands going forward, but $140 for the Logitech G515 is ludacrous pricing relative to what gamers can buy from the Asian brands.

    Nice review! As noted my oldest just didn't like the Air75 v2 feel or sound nor any of my custom boards because he wanted low profile. Me personally I agree about the rocker but he always uses headphone so he just adjusts the volume on the headset, I guess it's what you get use to. He is very happy with the board and will use it for coding as well. I recently put some Gateron LP 2.0 Banana switches in the NuPhy and they definitely helped the sound and feel! Looking forward to the NOS review, almost ordered one today but they are out of weights it seems.

    • @mynusten
      @mynusten  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @MarbsMusic as always, many thanks for the kind words! I.m.o., low profile keyboards is the most difficult form factor to master as its really difficult to find the perfect fit. I will say that Logitech has really nailed the elevations and feel for the low profile keyboard. I gamed on the G915 TKL for years, loved it until the gaming keybard wars began and the G515 is a decent (and affordable) successor to the G915. Its going back in the box for now as the Azoth remains my daily driver, but sure something will dethrone it this year. Can't make the swing for the Azoth Extreme, but will watch the price over time. As for the Nos75, boy-oh-boy, I'm really torn on this keyboard. Don't get me wrong, its awesome, but the Nos75 suffers deeply from NuPhy "product substitution" challenges...it's own keyboards at well below 1/2 the price get you 85% of what the Nos75 delivers. The other challenge is its wired and, on my Mac, I prefer 100% wireless. On another note, just took my first guitar lesson last week. This is my latest hobby to keep my brain and dexterity moving...between gaming, content creation and guitar, I'm aiming to keep that noggin' working hard.

      Congrats on the first guitar lesson! I’ve been playing about 40 years now and still enjoy it. Need to start making videos ago to add to my channel but do have a few from recent years. Had to focus on health and work so much the last couple of years but that being good now I need to do more guitar and some keyboard content!

      @mynusten  17 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @hitori_gurashi that would be an interesting version and there is a market for the 60% form factor, for sure. If you have the budget, the Wooting 60HE+ is an excellent 60% option and my son has been using it for nearly a year. Appreciate the comment! 👍

      the thing with the falchion is it only comes in white so…
      im really hoping logitech would also release a 60% kewb in low profile

      @@antonjalowy4143 it’s a fantastic keyboard. Almost 18 months on, my OG, blue switches are truckin’ along. Love it. If you can make the swing, it’s a great buy. Heard from some folks, Asus puts it on a deep discount from time to time.

    Hey thanks for a really fantastic review!
    Been looking at this as a side grade from my g915 but I’ve got a question maybe you can answer. My single favorite thing about the 915 is that it caches keystrokes that happen before it regains 2.4 connectivity after being asleep and then sends them once connected - therefore you can start typing without worrying about the first few keystrokes being missed and having to delete and start over. Have you noticed if the 515 does this?

    • @mynusten
      @mynusten  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @sugarbagels that's an interesting question and never knew that was a feature of the G915. I didn't test for this specific feature, but I never had any lag when coming back to my gaming / work rig, beginning to type on the G515 and having my keystrokes register. Thus, I am assuming this is a feature that is implemented on the G515. Note, I only tested on a Windows 11 PC. Hope this helps and thanks for the comment. 👍

      @sugarbagels 4 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@mynusten Good to know, thanks! And yeah I feel like I saw it on one random review of the 915 and now I’m basically married to Logitech keyboards because of it. Pretty sure the MX series does it as well. I’m surprised Logitech doesn’t feature it more prominently in their marketing.

    @Evolution.1859 14 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    Soldered, non-HE switches, no rapid trigger for US$140. But TKL… why? The 915 is still great as long as your desk is 10 feet long.🤷🏻‍♀️

    • @mynusten
      @mynusten  14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @Evolution.1859 the G515 isn't an awesome keyboard, but its a markedly better keyboard than what Logitech has been pumping out for the last couple years. As I said in my review, if you are a keyboard afficianado, this isn't the keyboard for you. Its meant for the Logitech brand loyalist who wants a good enuf keyboard for work and gaming. The G915 is a keyboard that falls into a lengendary bucket for its time as it was ahead of the curve. That said, the G915 defo didn't age well and the keycaps were horrible. Appreciate the comment.

      @haki3353 I used the G915 for years until the keycaps printing wore off. It was a good board, but I enjoy the 515's PBG double shot keycaps. Logitech missed not putting media keys on the G515, for sure! Appreciate the comment. 👍
