I work for a local TV station and help with sound for an upcoming documentary. The producers were talking about Tascams, boom mics, and all that. I mentioned the Rode Pros and had to explain to them what the mics do, from internal recording to 32-bit float and more. New tech moves replacing bulky old tech.
Whats crazy is u still got another channel for lav, and headphone out for monitoring if u wanted to put the receiver on your hip.. SUPER compact setup. Cheers.
@@DoubtMeTech indeed. I planning for an external recording setup ,the usual stuff. Then, i got the rode and connected the mke600 and found myself boomkng wireless straight to camera...what a banger
So, you linked two very different cables on amazon. One (short) is balanced with tip and ring wired to pin 2 and 3, the other is unbalanced and has tip and ring soldered together on pin 2 (hot) and the sleeve soldered to pin 1 and 3. Which one are you actually using and works for you? The short one (balanced) doesn’t work for me at all, i will try the other configuration but it would be extremely helpful if you could give us the actual wiring scheme inside the cable, thank you 😊
@@DoubtMeTech an audix scx1. I’m going to try your phantom supplier, i got one from neewer now. It feels like I’m missing a preamp in the chain though. Weird. I emailed rode for the wireless pro specs and explained what I’m doing… maybe they’ll get back to me 🤷🏻♂️

Right? Such a good and versatile product
Wow! very helpful tip my friend, Your tip has had me rethinking of my Zoom F6 that has been sitting around for some time.
Yeah it's a pretty epic and simple setup 🙌🙏
Great review
I really appreciate it. Thank you so much 🙏🙏
@@DoubtMeTech You're Welcome!
the new mke600 comes with its xlr to trs light weight coiled, but still no locking
That's a great mic. Even without the locking cable, it pairs well with the rode wireless pro

Deity RX-Link Locking Right Angle 3.5mm TRS Male to Right-Angle XLR Male Cable
@@rumorscameras do they have a female XLR or just the male XLR? It needs to be a female XLR
Hey noticed that it s a male unfortunately. Someday will be available. Cheers
Can the Wireless Pro record internally AND transmit the signal simultaneously? I know Deity is having some issues with this at the moment...
Yes it can
I can't get any signal when I do this with an SM58. Did you get a signal into the Rode TX with that Shure Super 55?
Friend, tell me - Rode Wireless Pro Transmitter - can record stereo 32 bits, for example, if I connect Sennheiser MKE 440 Stereo Shotgun to it?

Amazon might have changed the cable on the original listing. Personally I prefer balanced TRS cables.
I'll try to update the links this weekend 🙏
@@DoubtMeTech ah ok. It doesn’t work for me though. I tried the balanced one and it just doesn’t 🤷🏻♂️
@@DrewProject from my link? What mic are you using?
