One recurring error I'd like to apologise for is how the script mixes up the wording of "tracks to Josie's left" with "sidestep left", which are actually mirrors of one another. Didn't notice this until just before uploading, and though I patched up such errors with my voice over, it would have caused significant delays to re-record all of them. In any case, the way to step should be obvious from the video. Community notes: Edward Drew: I feel like d+4 should've been mentioned in this video. It's one of josie's primary poking tools (Arya: Totally agreed this is a glaring omission. Not much damage but...i15 low! +1 on hit and +6 on CH so good for lockdown. -10 on block which means it's only punishable by down jab. Try to down parry if a Josie player is being predictable, but generally not worth the risk since she has so many good mids. Very important part of her close range pressure game.) the combo at 35:50, i think the dmg at the bottom right should be 60 also, i'd just like to note: if you get a counter hit cd+3 or FC df+4, you can also follow up with another FC df+4 instead of cd+3 for max damage (takes a while to get used to tho) also, you can do this wall combo for even bigger damage. wallsplat, 2,4 SWS 1 , uf+3+4. the uf+3+4 is guaranteed unless the opponent quick recovers from the SWS 1. another wall combo you could use for low wall splats is db+4,2,delay,3 ShotgunInsanity: Here's another wall combo that does really good damage and has good oki W! f3 uf3+4 If you walk forward a little bit and do df4 it will him them as they fall and you have sws mixup, sws3 will hit grounded and catch tech roll, sws 4 will beat mid get up kick, low crush toe kick and low get up kick and also wallsplat. If they tech roll immediately it will catch both sides and now you have your basic sws mixup. The only way for your opponent to avoid this setup is to delay tech to make df4 whiff. Feints: You can extend the range of her crouch dash by inputting the moves after the animation to make her dash again. For example f,n,d,d/f~f2. This also works out of backsway. b1+2,f~f3. Honestly, I really like Le Crocodile Rose being here with you, it's like a show animated by two commentators : the serious knowledgable one and the goofy fun one that still brings good info to the table, it's a good dynamic imo, could be even more enjoyable if you both send the ball to each other from time to time, I dunno.

Josie is one of the more underrated characters in the game when it comes to tier list placing, she should be placed in mid tier rather than low. Edit: And Josie's wall damage is not that impressive, only 21 damage at the wall (wall carry to wall combo). Dragunov had the same wall damage but his damage was considered mediocre. Other than that, great guide.

I also liked that in this one, it was broken down into more sections. Don't think I missed those timestamps, whoever took the time to do that... SUPER APPRECIATED!!!

AWESOME vid! Though I'm surprised you didn't mention how good d4 can be. It's a near-unseeable low at i15 and similar animation to df4, decent range, and only punishable by a down jab. It was only in the punish section, but I feel like its a good situational move / low poke

Here's another wall combo that does really good damage and has good oki W! f3 uf3+4 If you walk forward a little bit and do df4 it will him them as they fall and you have sws mixup, sws3 will hit grounded and catch tech roll, sws 4 will beat mid get up kick, low crush toe kick and low get up kick and also wallsplat. If they tech roll immediately it will catch both sides and now you have your basic sws mixup. The only way for your opponent to avoid this setup is to delay tech to make df4 whiff.
Hi there, great job on your character breakdown videos, i do enjoy them quite a lot. At 2:17 you talk about Josie and unsafe NH launchers and state that she only has ub/u/uf+3 as a safe launcher. But she actually has b1+2 which is also a safe launcher though it´s not commonly used from most players. Keep up your good work!

Nice guide dude. This is easily the best guide on Josie I've seen. Only 1 little nit picky thing. And that is you're not maxing out your juggle damage (Barely though). But other than that you're solid.
@@ruthlessan00bis Qasim a Pakistani player is the only tournament player now that I'd say uses her. There are a few Korean high skilled josies, kagemaru and a few others but they aren't currently around in tourney AFAIK Sorry Qasim doesn't travel but he's in the Arslan crew

Great video as usual guys! Though the notation in the hard combo from CH(1,2),4 | CH (2), 4 is incorrect. Should be f1, 4, 3 1 f~ 13 not f 2, 4 etc etc
You should do a character overview video for the dlc character, also an in depth noctis breakdown, I mean I love your break down videos, I main Lee and Claudio and they are just so helpful and I'm struggling on how to counter noctis players right now😂😂 but lobe your videos and keep up the amazing work

Great video, but I would suggest to start using some fonts that are easier on the eyes, I always struggle to read stuff with these crazy fonts, for example in the combo section

You forgot 'bout b+1+2 high 16-frame launcher wich is safe and have goot tracking. Combos for example b+1+2, (2) d+4,4 dash 1,2,4 SWS4. Or b+1+2 d+3,4/f+2,3,4 for common combos with wallcarry.

Here's another wall combo that does really good damage and has good oki
W! f3 uf3+4
If you walk forward a little bit and do df4 it will him them as they fall and you have sws mixup, sws3 will hit grounded and catch tech roll, sws 4 will beat mid get up kick, low crush toe kick and low get up kick and also wallsplat. If they tech roll immediately it will catch both sides and now you have your basic sws mixup. The only way for your opponent to avoid this setup is to delay tech to make df4 whiff.

Hi there, great job on your character breakdown videos, i do enjoy them quite a lot.
At 2:17 you talk about Josie and unsafe NH launchers and state that she only has ub/u/uf+3 as a safe launcher. But she actually has b1+2 which is also a safe launcher though it´s not commonly used from most players.

Great video as usual guys! Though the notation in the hard combo from CH(1,2),4 | CH (2), 4 is incorrect. Should be f1, 4, 3 1 f~ 13 not f 2, 4 etc etc
You should do a character overview video for the dlc character, also an in depth noctis breakdown, I mean I love your break down videos, I main Lee and Claudio and they are just so helpful and I'm struggling on how to counter noctis players right now😂😂 but lobe your videos and keep up the amazing work
We do not intend to do that, as all the DLC Characters will come pretty soon, more or less one after the other ;) I'm glad our guides helped you along you way :D
Great video, but I would suggest to start using some fonts that are easier on the eyes, I always struggle to read stuff with these crazy fonts, for example in the combo section

You forgot 'bout b+1+2 high 16-frame launcher wich is safe and have goot tracking. Combos for example b+1+2, (2) d+4,4 dash 1,2,4 SWS4. Or b+1+2 d+3,4/f+2,3,4 for common combos with wallcarry.
