No... He definitely made a mistake because when u take the probability of A [0.15 + 0.1=0.25]
then multiply it by the the probability of B [0.3 + 0.1=0.4] it gives you the probability of A and B which is there in the middle

sir , I don't understand why we used that formulae in 11.2.2 and 11.2.3 . Take for instance 11.2.2 , they asking the propability of two calculators chosen , one s defective and the other one is not , which we do have the outcome of that from the 'tree diagram' .i thought e would use the 'intersection formule' .Since on the question we have 'and'' . Please get back to me sir
