- This game was played on patch 1.24.1 with Cradle of civilization expansion. I started as Janpur with a goal to conquer India and become emperor of China.

I love the color choices with vassals, they really contrast the Hindustan white!

Conquering persia india and china as ottomans and making everything trade companies was always My desire but the coalitions mechanic is cancerous. Btw that yellow bunch of development made me want to eat india and now I am hungry at 2 pm. I am going to eat bread with banana I guess and drink some hot milk with honey.
At least with Ottomans you shouldn't worry about AE, you can easily win against coalition. On middle east only threat is Mamluks, after that until India no one can make strong coalition against you. When you get to India you are already to strong for any coalition.

Wait until it decays, in mean time diplo vassilize and annex if you can. Next time balance conquest between Hindu and Muslim states or first conquer one religious group then second one (depending of situation) and try to take only claimed states as they give less AE. Also you should build up to force limit as having bigger army will encourage coalition to disband

How did you form Hindustan without the necessary cores to the south?
What did you do about the "Empire of China in Name" disaster which starts if you aren't Chinese or don't accept 2 Chinese cultures?
I could not stop it from firing. You just need to wait for 10 years and disaster will come to an end
Your medium dev in province? I just saw All the India yellow/green and the rest being almost red, so it seems like over 35 developement (yellow colour) to even 60 (ur capital)
5017 development (4979 in states) / 169 provinces (164 in states) = 30.36 in stated provinces

Or pagan. Pagan or Eastern works. Pagan is there presumably so the Mongols (Tengri) and other small pagan states (Animists) can aspire to claim the Mandate of Heaven.

Purplox Haha! Yeah, I was thinking about that. If only the Norse in at least one province at game start. According to the wiki, Animist, Inti, and Norse Zealot rebels can change your national religion by enforcing demands if they convert enough provinces, without the usual condition of your state religion needing to be pagan.
Another thought I had was that you could convert a CKii Save Game that had Sunset Invasion active, and then play as the Aztecs and become Emperor of China. Bonus points if the converted save game still had Aztec provinces in Europe. Then you rule an giant empire in the Americas that is colonizing both sides of the old world.
You could also just make a custom nation

I just don't like Victoria 2, it always looked like unfinished game for me. Combat is bad it's to similar to EU4, in my opinion it should be more like HOI4 or some hibrid between that two. Or maybe it can change combat mechanics as game progress something like ages in EU4. In 1800s you could have something like EU4 and in WW1 period you should have front line - trench warfare.
Anyway I hope they will make Vic3 as that period is very interesting and it's shame that it doesn't have game to complete whole timeframe (CK->EU->Vic->HOI)
