    Hi JK, not sure if you are still using this brand and model.
    When setting up the R15 and M15, are all the routers operation mode set up as default? E.g. Router Mode?
    Or are they in Bridge Mode or Extender Mode
    My M15 is in default setup "Router Mode" after setting up. I have 1 Master M15 that is connected to the modem (ISP) and 2 Slave extender M15 + 1 E15 Extender, however overnight till next morning, all the slave extenders became a client instead, and the network will cut off once every 6 to 10 mins for less then 1 min before network is up again. Had to pull the plug from the master M15 to reboot to resolve the issue every day in the morning. (Restarting the slave extenders never fix the problem only reboot the master would)
    (I've just RMA-ed my M15 at the Offical D-link service center and issue persist, D-link servicemen did a 1:1 exchange) so wondering if you had this issue.
    Hence thought of getting an R15 router as the main router connected to my ISP mobem and the M15's as it's dedicated extenders.

      Hi, I',m still using this eagle pro ai router at my parent's house, unfortunately, I did not encounter the same issue. everything works great my only issue that I have is, with one of the m15 as an extender, even though it uses a wired backhaul, it does not give me internet access. trying to troubleshoot the issue, eagle pro ai router prefers wireless backhaul over wired backhaul, meaning the mesh nodes should actually get a wireless signal from the main node or other nodes.
      so what I did for the other m15 is I set it up as a stand-alone router in the other room.
      Aside from that one, the r15 as the main works great with 2 m15 as mesh nodes.

      @JK Chavez thanks for the reply. For my case as of now.
      My setup is the ONT modem port 1 output to the Internet port of the Master M15, while the other 2 slave bacially stright forward power up after the master is set up and inter connect via WiFi, hence no wired backhaul. After RMA my first 3 pack set and getting a new one the issue still persist. Sadly.
      Network works fine when my ONT is connected to my old linksys router and out to my powerline network adapter through out the house although the network is super slow with my old setup.
      Was hoping to purchase the R15 to be the master while the M15 be the slave extenders in hopes of resolving the issue. 🥲

    The app options are different than what i am seeing in Malaysia. They are asking me to use ppoe details and create new wifi network which is different than my configured wifi network from my isp. With this it doesnt show solid white light. Also, the nodes doesn’t get connected automatically and keep blinking orange light. While web one configures the main mesh to my isp router but then my nodes doesnt connect automatically. Stuck here

      have you tried it side by side yet? or same issue? if that is the case, you need to add it manually? or are you having issues adding the node manually?

    hi, when you connect the M15 to the "converge" router, is that modem or wifi router? because i'm having issue when using tp-link router. I want to use my existing router (that already connected to the modem), in the apps instruction, the mesh main need to connect directly to the modem. It keep asking me to fill in the dial up network (ISP user login and password) and I want to skip that since i still want to use my tp-link router for main router (since it is connected to network switch and all). Does choosing "other" on the network provider drop down able to skip these " dial up" password? The LAN cable should be plug in to the Internet or Ethernet socket? The D'link manual doesn't help at all. Thank you

      Hi, you can still connect the m15 to your tplink router, just use other for the setup because the source of internet for m15 is the tplink wifi router (i assume that this one does not have modem capability)..
      in my on this video my m15 is directly connected to my Converge modem-router( here is the PH internet service provider gives an all in one, modem-wifi-router, unlike in other countries like in Singapore they have a dedicated modem and dedicated wifi-router)

    I'm facing an issue with "no internet" when connected with wifi(all default settings) but connects to the internet with ethernet cable, did you face similar issue with this router?

      I have not encountered any issues like that one, are you encountering this using a mobile device? or you are referring to mesh mode configuration?

    Can i connect the 2nd node to the main node, then the 3rd node to the 2nd node like a daisy-chain? Or do all nodes need to connect to the main node?

    • @JKChavez
      @JKChavez  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      you cannot select where the nodes will connect but it will connect to the nearest node available.. daisy-chain will work..

    Is it a reliable system? Inam currently using deco m5 wifi mesh and thinking if this would be worth it

    • @JKChavez
      @JKChavez  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Reliable? For all the routers that i have tested, i usually do at least 1 week 24x7 and never encountered issue with connectivity. The m15 is reliable, i just encountered an issue when i mixed it with the r15, 2 m15 nodes with wireless backhaul is okay but for the other one which is using a lan cable as backhaul has some connectivity issue. Maybr becsause it is so far away.. From the main node(r15). My solution is 1 r15 and 2 m15 works as a mesh network , while the other m15 is configured as a routrer. So far for more than 1 month 24x7 i jave not received complaints from my parents..

    Can they mesh via lan cable or have to mesh via wireless?

    • @JKChavez
      @JKChavez  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, this is actually weird, i try to call a local tech from dlink, they mentioned that should be wireless for mesh network, but have tested it using lan cable and it works as a mesh network as well, because for me, having a lan as a backhaul for mesh is better. unless if this router has triband wireless would also be a good option.. :)
