Scott Hi, This has just gone into the oven and very easy to prepare. So thanks and as a disabled 78 year old gent having easy recipes to prepare is a great idea. Take Care.
I made this today and just ate it over rice and OH MY GOODNESS!! I threw chopped onions in w/ bacon and garlic saute just bc .... DELISH! The chicken wasn't really necessary...it's the gravy that is pure heaven...THANK YOU!
Cooked this for dinner tonight and everybody said it was delicious. I fried up some onion, carrots and zucchini and added those to the slow cooker as well. Didn’t worry about the corn flour. Served on a bed of buttery mashed potato. YUMM!!
I made this today and it's absolutely amazing! This is going into the meal prep arsenal. Thank dude Note: used sour cream because I couldn't get a hold of creme fraiche
I bought your 6 part recipes in 2020 and this has always been my absolute favourite. It's so delicious. Actually making it now here in Ireland formy Sunday dinner. Thank you Scott.
This one was a real belter! Out of everything of yours I’ve made so far , this and the biryani are my favourites . It was absolutely beautiful . I added half a red onion tho and served with saute potatoes and sweetcorn. . Still got quite a few left to try tho
Just a few questions on my end! 1. Can I use chicken stock instead of water? 2. Can we brown the chicken first? 3. Does it matter what kind of bacon I use? 4. Are there any benefits to the garlic in the jar as opposed to fresh? Or is it just the speed? 5. What is in the mixed herbs? Thanks for the great recipe!
Sure, you can use chicken stock and also brown the chicken first. For the bacon, the leaner cut is just lower in calories and fat but you can use a different kind. As for the garlic, just for the convenience, you can use fresh ones instead. Mixed herbs is usually found in supermarkets so it depends on the brand that you'll use :) Hope this helps!
Hey Scott, would you be open to trying and making a recipe for Sri Lankan dish Chicken Kothu? I really want to learn how to make it and love your recipes/videos
Here in the USA, and what are the measurements for non-metric system to ounces and US conversions as this looks delicious but am stumped about the metric measurements
I made this a couple of weeks ago and adding the cornflour dry like this didn't seem to work in thickening the sauce. I just ended up with small floury lumps through the thin sauce. Would it not be better to mix it into a paste before adding the flour? Not sure what I did wrong...
Hello from our farm in New Hampshire USA- Came across your channel while looking for healthy crock pot chicken recipes. I had emergency gall bladder surgery a month ago. Just recovering at home and faced with a major change in my diet. We raise grass fed beef. That and the butter group is only part of what I can no longer have. But I'm a " foodie" and will find ways to adapt in a delicious, healthy way, hopefully with some of the recipes from your channel. Case in point, I can have lactose -free sour cream and other lactose-free dairy products. Thank you God! I look forward to following your channel. All the best ~ Diane
Thank you so much for your kind message Diane. I hope you enjoy more of my recipes. In the most recent ones, we also have the measurements in Imperial so you won't have to do any conversions :)
Hello Scott- I am sure I will enjoy following your recipes.Thank you for both including both standards of measurements. I worked in northern England, in West Yorkshire for three years for a Fortune 500 company., so familiar with metric, etc. One of my favorite lunch meals were the flaky hot pasties on a cold rainy winter's day. We would be lined up at lunch time outside the shop for them. And, of course, Yorkshire pud. I would have loved to have worked in Scotland. I am a Ried. My ancestors were from Glasgow ~ Diane
I know chicken breast is leaner, BUT thighs are much more tasty (you can always strain off the extra fat). If you do, there are not that many more calories than breast. That's probably me, 71 and 11.5 stone soaking wet, lucky me, lol
Made this, it was really good. Very simple dish to make. It had lots of flavors, will certainly make this again. Thank you..
Most welcome 😊

Can’t wait to try this - looks delicious. Thank you 😊
Hope you enjoy
I’m not familiar with whole grain mustard. Can I get that in the United States or should I use Dijon mustard?
Hey, Dijon would be a fine substitute 👍🏻
Looks wonderful, I can almost smell it! Can't go wrong when you start with lovely bacon! Lisa C., Texas
You got that right!
Looks good 👍 , will be making it🙂 what was the last thing u added ? Was it sour cream?
Hope you enjoy it! It's the half fat crème fraiche
Just made this, and it turned out damn good! Thanks, man!
Have plenty leftover for tomorrow. I may add some mushrooms, put it over some noodles and destroy another giant bowl of it.
Glad to know you liked it! 🙌🏻
I picked first recipie I found. And wow. This was soo good
Glad you liked it!!
This is in my top 3 Scott Baptie recipes!
What are the other 2...?
@@ScottBaptie Carbonade flamande number 1, albondigas a close 2nd but to be honest everything I’ve made has been delicious 😋
Is normal bacon ok (fat cut off?) Thank you!
Hey Matt, yeah, that's right.
Hey Scott, would you be open to trying and making a recipe for Sri Lankan dish Chicken Kothu? I really want to learn how to make it and love your recipes/videos
I've just googled, that sounds delicious!! I'll try come up with my take on it.
Yum, can't wait to cook this.
Hope you enjoy
After I downloaded the app, I had to pay in order to print a recipe. I thought it was free; am I doing something wrong?
Should be free to print the recipes when you have a subscription
I don’t like crème fresh. Can it go with out?
Sure or swap it with a normal cream if you want
@@ScottBaptie I cooked it with out. Still amazing. I’m not a fan of cream etc. so I’d rather just go with out.
what can you use instead of honey?
Sugar might work too
What exactly do "mixed herbs" consist of?
Sometimes called "Italian Seasoning" in the UK is usually a pre-made product comprising of Thyme, Marjoram, Parsley, Oregano, Sage, Basil
Here in the USA, and what are the measurements for non-metric system to ounces and US conversions as this looks delicious but am stumped about the metric measurements
Hey Timothy, from todays video onwards, we've added in the imperial measurements for my US viewers. Hope this helps 🇺🇸
I usually google it to get the conversions.
Is 2 hours 45 min really enough time took fully cook the chicken on low?
It says 4 hours on the video. 2:45 isn't enough.
Hey, came across a problem with slow cookers, I always get quite alot of condensation, which creates that watery issue, how to solve this?
Hey try reducing the stock or any liquid added in the recipe.
I made this a couple of weeks ago and adding the cornflour dry like this didn't seem to work in thickening the sauce. I just ended up with small floury lumps through the thin sauce. Would it not be better to mix it into a paste before adding the flour? Not sure what I did wrong...
Hey Ben, sorry that happened. Normally it doesn't happen unless you add it into the mix after you've added the hot liquid.
@@ScottBaptie❤
Looks really good
Hope you enjoy it!
What are the mixed herbs?
Hey you can easily find them in supermarkets since it's packed as mixed herbs under spices. Hope you enjoy!
I need this kind of high protein meal while hoping to lose some weight before the Holidays!
Thank you.
Enjoy the recipes! 😋
Could you use diced chicken
Sure :)
Does this freeze ok?
Yes :) Hope you enjoy!
What herbs did he put in there?
Just mixed herbs - this is available in the market any brand will do :)

this looks great but I can't find the receipt
Hi! It's in the Food for Fitness app. Just download the app (link in description!) Cheers :)
How many grams are in a serving?
Hey, just divide the final product into 5 portions :)
@@ScottBaptie thanks, just trying to figure out for macro tracking purposes
This was great. Next time I will add mushrooms. I thin they would work well…
Great idea! Glad you enjoyed it!
how many people does this serve please?
The recipe's good for 5 servings :)
When he says corn flour.... does that mean a corn bread mix?
Hey it's cornstarch to thicken the sauce :)
And Maizena should you be from the Netherlands, also 'Mixed herbs' is called 'Italian Herbs' here ;)
I’m planning to make it using Greek yogurt and chicken thighs in place of breasts. I hope it works!
Let us know how it goes! Enjoy!
Also used hot honey instead
Ace!
Could I use low fat Greek yogurt instead of creme frache
Hey, you can give that one a go. Enjoy the recipe!

For me it depends on the recipe. Sometimes I think breasts work better, like in this recipe.
when you say corn flour do you mean cornstarch
Yes :) Enjoy the recipe!
No onion??
Correct
YOUR LINK TO THE RECIPE IS NOT WORKING 😢😢😢
Sorry, working now.
Sorry, but he’s hot. Food looks good too.
