I can't get too much of Mordechai Kedar--what a great intellect as well as a commonsensical thinker. I believe his fluency in Arabic gives him quite an edge as a polemicist. Students take note, learn your Arabic--too many historians write on the Middle East with a great handicap. Only in being able to hear, read and respond to the Arab's arguments with complete understanding, can you reach the level of effectiveness that Kedar does.
