Very neat. Also, mandatory warning for inexperienced people: DO NOT go into the catacombs on your own. Places can crumble, and nobody will be here to save you.
@alphachinoz1653 fun fact: people actually do live in the catacombs! I'd stay in the touristy (I wouldn't ever go down there anyways) bits on the catacombs because apparently, if they don't know you they steal your light and map so you get lost and potentially die 💀
@Gallia_Celtica write it in English, please... There is no "translate button" for some reason, and we're all talking English here (and no, my native language is not English, I learned it like you should too).
I often think about places like this and how much I'd love to see the whole thing mapped out in 3d imagine being able to navigate dangerous and distant places in VR it's a shame that a lot of 3D scanning companies that use their own algorithms and tech tend not to give out scans for free...
You can do this with pretty much any phone and the polycam app. The iphone 12 just gives you access to the lidar settings, which imo doesnt set it that much apart from standard photogrammetry on my samsung s20 ultra. I highly recommend 3d scanning and backing up whatever you can, i know corridor crew did an abandoned mine!
Not only is this smart, but this could make it super safe to explore the catacombs and have better strategics to get further and further to really see its end if possible, scary as hell but id rather have a map and modern look out of one so i know that its as current as possible, totally for this
bruh you think the catacombs are some sort of roguelike metroidvania? they're very well mapped and this is cool but not in any way a good way to get around.
@@RicoAlessandro I go in the catacombs almost every day. It has already been fully mapped. Of course some people open new area not yet mapped. But it doesn't occur often
The iPhone pro and pro max series has a sensor called a LiDAR sensor, the game you mentioned takes inspiration of the point clouds generated when using this
Would be SO cool to be able to explore the catacombs as a videogame!
Hell no💀💀😭
You can. In Gmod: The catacombs
You can
AS
GUTS & BLACKPOWDER: CATACOMBES DE PARIS!
As a real life*
the best thing is the Bone Throne..
Wait that's actually sick why doesn't this have more views

Here? Do you live in the catacombs?
@@AlphaChinoz maybe....
Maybe i just made an oopsie

@quinn that is just rubbish coming from your sick brain
If they could map the whole catacombs like this it would get millions and millions of views. very very interesting!
Like why haven’t we done this with the
Pyramids
We don’t need millions of views the Catacombs are perfect without tourists thx
I the master of catacomp don't allow it
@@jeremiahfisk8222because the Egyptian Government doesn’t like it
It could help people, y'know, not get lost and die

@konanhuet623 you got a better idea genius? 🤣
@konanhuet623 have you been? Because if not, we can't even argue about this pointless haha
Mapping like this takes ages mapping the WHOLE catacombs when people haven’t even mapped out the whole thing on paper yet I doubt this will be a thing
@@RicoAlessandro I go in the catacombs almost every day. It has already been fully mapped. Of course some people open new area not yet mapped. But it doesn't occur often
I went to the catacombes and it was terrifying to see human skulls and bones everywhere
Lol. Did you learn why they where there?
Please add more background music, your voice is still audible
facts, maybe like 3 more tracks
Is the map available somewhere for anyone to see?
that’s a vibe
This is actually really cool why is there only 290 likes
They had RAVES in the catacombs??? damn 80s must of been lit man
That is a brilliant idea!
Thats so cool!!!!
If you don't see any grafitti in the catacombs that can mean you are lost as it has barely been explored so yeah just use the graffiti as a guide
the catacombs is just like the backrooms in irl haunted scary and creepy with bones has entitiys or spirits

I hope you can download the map, because the signal seems a bit weak down there
Not everywhere is graffiti. In fact, if there's no graffiti on the wall, you know you are very deep into the catacombs.
Same goes for different tunnels or sewer areas not just the catacombs.
Really cool
Whats the name of that urbex explorer
Make more videos on this
whats the app called?
SiteScape
I’m confused, so who built the catacombs? And why didn’t they map it out
it's already mapped, just really hard to find on internet. To prevent people coming in.
And check wikipedia for the history
the romans built it for mining limestone then it became a burial ground
Bro just go in spectator mode
Where can i find that 3d scanning data
Can you share the 3D maps?
There it goes to the bucket list 😂
About time!.
Why don’t they send a drone or electric rover to explore like they send to mars? Lol
It would be broken or stolen within days, plus there is no signal there
do more videos on this
what 3d mapping app was used? I want to do this too!
I bet a book was based off the stairs
Who ever designed the passer through walls statue is going to hell bruh
Raves in the catacombs
Confused: I thought these tunnels were full of bones?
The catacombes are only a small part of the abandoned quarries under Paris. But we call them catacombes
is that from polycam
This is literally the horror game called lidar i think
The iPhone pro and pro max series has a sensor called a LiDAR sensor, the game you mentioned takes inspiration of the point clouds generated when using this
Bro aint scared of like 200 or 100 sharks there what a sigma
i now never want to play hypixel skyblock anymore
Great route for an ultramarathone
How far is the map at so far in 2023
Isn’t this the one with the creepy statues in the walls?
wait what raves in the catacombs HUH
From under paris..
That's it? There's more right?
POLYCAM ❤
Sitescape actually
Uh, that's cool
There are always like 6million people in there sort of..
Did you seriously cross Paris and the three body problem theme?
they held raves in the 1980s ... great upload
I want that but I have normal iPhone 11 and even if a had iPhone 11 Pro still doesn’t have lidar
Es la única razón por la que compraría un iphone
Please change your mic, I do not need to hear the saliva with every word you speak
