I dont think it's meant to boycott mica as it's more so to know where your mice is coming from when buying it... mica coming from US, they are not using forced labor to get their mica. So if your beauty products source their mica from within the US, your fine....

The only makeup I use! Except for lip balm, which I either make my own or I purchase doTERRA's lip balms. Transparency matters.

or you can buy Beautycounter:) We source our Mica responsibly from mines in the USA, or other companies that are part of the Mica initiative
I just heard about something called synthetic mica, but that needs a further investigation.
There are synthetic mica which doesn't coast childrens life

I didn’t like the way she said “those people still need to eat”.. as if they are “they” and not part of “us”. Also the irony.. western women could stop using these products or make them with materials from their own countries. Indian women make kohl at home, eat betel leaves for red stained lips & take care of their hair & skin to look beautiful. Nothing else is required. Some makeup can be made for artistic purposes but every woman using a ton of makeup everyday makes no sense. It’s indulgent & unsustainable. As Gandhi ji said there is enough for everyone’s need but not for everyone’s greed.
