I'm only 15 years old and I was lucky enough to play a '69 SG that belonged to my guitar teachers friends. I have very large hands so the neck to me was my dream neck. I wish every single guitar I own had a neck like a '69 sg. Greatest guitar I've ever played
Michael Trodden sadly the only way you might get big necks on a new guitar is either ordering a custom shop or a true historic specced guitar but those a silly expensive...

Kirk Wahmmett- or just get a strat and buy a replacement thick neck from Warmoth... it can feel even more like a gibson if you choose the 24 3/4 conversion and pick the same fret size as a 1969 SG

I think that is a LYRE vibrato. Maestro were the ones without the plate and went north south to make effect
next time you do an sg please play some sabbath in honor of the band being done

George Prewitt That would be great, I would be pleasantly shocked to hear Mark roar into "Tomorrow's Dream", or "Neon Knights"..... But I wouldn't expect it, since several AC/DC songs are constantly in heavy rotation on classic Rock radio, while "Paranoid" seems to be about the only Black Sabbath song they've ever heard of, and they only spin it occasionally. I really loath taste makers!
