- Nicknamed The Black Pearl,the rich culture of the Town of Atlantic Beach was formed of mostly Gullah/Geechee people, descendants of slaves who lived for 300 years on the Sea Islands from Wilmington, North Carolina to Jacksonville, Florida.

Clean this town up from 17 to the waterfront. Painting your homes pastel blues,yellows, greens and pinks. That alone will draw people from miles around to see paradise in the mist of high rises.

You don't need to be rich to attract people. You need talent and some hard work. People have highrises everywhere. What people don't have is old town colorful friendly charm.

This town could be the focal point of SC. FRIENDLY OLD TOWN COLORFUL BERMUDAS ATMOSPHERE. PUT YOUR TALENTS TO WORK FOR YOU AND START BUILDING YOUR BUSINESS FROM YOUR HOMES.

It is a shame. The fence is down but now there are piles of debri 10 ft. tall blocking the road on atlantic beach south. I saw trash piles 30ft. high and 400ft. wide directly on the beach.
Atlantic Beach should just merge into North Myrtle Beach for better law enforcement,and infrastructure for it's good people that this small town just doesn't have for its good people and the drug dealers know it.Regardless,Atlantic Beach will alway's be a proud historic community or neighborhood if it ever becomes part of North Myrtle Beach.
