I always wondered how other restaurant owners featured on kitchen nightmares would react to the Amys baking company episode. A lot of them would probably be like, "Even on my worst day I wouldn't have done that!"
As someone who worked as a server, its on the servers too. there is a reason both presidential candidates ran saying they would remove taxes on tips and not on increasing the minimum wage for servers. I made bank thanks to tips. Literally earned more than my first 2 jobs (combined 5 years of experience )AFTER graduating as a electrical engineer. I make more now, but had to move to an much more expensive place to live. Granted, i worked in a college town close in a decently fancy restaurant. I made $1200 on my single best night, making something close to $300 a day on regular days. Made close to 70k a year, but i think i never actually reported more than 60k on taxes. Thats was 6 ish years ago so i imagine cash tips are way lower now, but i guranteed very few servers report those accurately unless the restaurant keeps track of those.
the violin is meme worthy and Amy baking company is also meme worthy and the episode where Amy is insane and to this day Amy is insane as ever its just meme godlike
When hes talking to the reporter and he talks about Gordon harassing his wife I have no doubt in my mind that they are exactly the same cakes as the ones Gordon seen when he first went to the restaurant

Also, you're completely right. Most don't actually hates the game itself, they hate having teammates. My only problem with this attitude is most people have delusions of grandeur and don't realise they are as bad as their team. There are genuinely unwinnable games because teammates do so poorly, but according to my 1000s of games, I would say its about 20% of the time. The large majority of games are winnable despite poor performing teams. People dont realise this because they suck.
To explain what happened with the Gwen game- League is very 'snowball' based. When you get an advantage, you get more items and XP relative to the opponent. This means you can kill them easier and obtain even more gold and items. When you get a lead on the enemy team, the whole game is different. Swinging the game from a disadvantaged state generally requires you to be a lot more skilled than the opponent. The new player experience is awful because new players aren't good enough to gain advantages, meaning they literally never get to experience what makes the game fun.
Phat memer: American tipping culture is crazy. Phat memer’s home country: yeah tips don’t legally have to go to staff until 1st october 2024 (aka 19 days ago) Uk service staff get the bare minimum, making on average less than us service staff. This is just BS patriot shit. It’s also one of the only industries in the UK that face high worker rights breaches but also discrimination and sexual harassment cases. The US service industry has it better.
you have absolutely no clue what you're talking about. our minimum wage is £11.44, rising by roughly a pound a year. you have 7 (7!!!!!) states that pay more than our minimum wage (once converted). majority are disgracefully low by comparison. Customers will usually try and find out if the tips go to the staff or not, and if they don't they'll ask the server to keep the tip for themselves. But to be honest that doesn't even matter because once you're found out to be a business that doesn't give tips to staff, you're done for. Even with all that aside its pretty rare staff don't get their tips. But that's the difference between us and you. No one here has a god given attitude they should be tipped. You leave 10% out of courtesy, maybe more if you've had really good service. if you don't then fine cos, you know, its not mandatory. But your wages are so ridiculously low that you lot think tipping is some god given right that should happen regardless of the quality of service. I heard you lot are expected to tip the barman for serving you a drink? complete joke. We don't moan about cos we get paid a decent enough wage in the first place. so yes, your tipping culture is in fact a joke. and living off tips is no way I'd want to live my life. get a decent wage in the first place and its not a problem is it
@@willmarlow97 im english lol. You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about from your tragic summary of how tips work here. If it wasn’t a common problem to start with they wouldn’t have had to implement the law. Service charge used to get used for all sorts of shit and not to employees
@@Rowankeenanx3 give a fuck. If I go to eat at a restaurant in America I’m expected to tip 20% regardless of the quality of service, I get scolded if I don’t for something that’s not even mandatory. Makes the whole experience shit. If I go to a bar I’m tipping the barman for every drink for literally doing his job, and same story, scolded if I don’t. If I’m an employee I have to basically hope I get a certain amount in tips so I can afford to pay rent. But yeah sure, British service industry is worse.

As an American, I agree the tipping culture needs to end. I'm fine with tipping, but it's expected now. It's not a tip, it's a fee
Its because wages in the us are so low.
@DaBadMoonIsRisin Yeah for some reason servers don't get paid a living wage.

The one he done in Spain was hilarious as well
smaller budget made it more genuine and no over the top fake emotions
I love both lol maybe it's cuz I'm technically half British so that's why
Yeah the british version had a completley different vibe. The us version felt so formulaic u could play bingo to that

Get taxed by sales of everything then you get taxed for wage + tips. So yes its wack. Tips are not considered a way or income by banks.
