      Hello, just wanted to ask if the CG domain base compatible with VT domain base, comparing to other videos the VT is more suitable for 1/144 scale and a bit smaller in other videos as I compare it. Thanks.

    • @K.buildingthings
      @K.buildingthings  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MercyRabbit nope I both are same scale.. the whole base can fit RG up to PG depending on how big you build it .. accessories doesn’t really matter ..
      Base on another builder have used VT and CG. He recommended to use CG because better fitment .

      i got my LEDs off Shoppee. they come from china but unfortunately the previous seller no longer actice. There are other product avaiable , you can try searching " wired SMD LED" Size 0402 or Size 0603 . I paid roughly $5 for 20 wired LED. You can also try those robotics sellers on amazon, they might carry these product too.

    Great work and awesome video! Do you have a slowed down or non-speed build version? There are some parts when weathering the accessories that I'd like to see your technique on in normal speed cuz the video went so fast. And do you have a link for the crane you mentioned needing to buy from VT by chance? Amazing job!!

    • @K.buildingthings
      @K.buildingthings  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s nearly impossible not to speed up the video . Else the video be at least 50 hour long . You let me know which section you wan and I try check if I recorded it using timelapse or not. If I have it on normal speed I don’t mind sharing it .
      DM me on Facebook.
      Weathering was pretty much using Mr weathering and then removing it with lighter fluid .

      hi there i just notice i never got around replying to your comment. For this build i was using the 1:100 scale version from bandai. But if you want to use it for PG, 1:64 scale will be the best , generally these can be found from those Hotwheel or scale car collectors hobby store for their diorama. it really depends what you looking for.
      if you only have limted tools , then buy the Wing Gundam, becuase the kit whitout painting looks very plain .
      i used total of 12 box to create this scene, and total with LED extra accessories and painting is surely enough to buy a PG zaku.

    Hi, Your video is perfect, I learnt a lot from your video, Thank you very much for sharing how to build a domain base!
    I would like build my domain base but wanna to use my 1/60 PG Gundam, not a 1/100, a little bit biggest size, so I want to ask a few more question about that.
    Do you think the CG domain base Staircase and Corridor also match for the 1/60 figure, like some of the maintenance? I just a bit worry about the scale.
    About the colour paint for the whole base, if I want to do spray paint the colour like mechanical metallic. Which colour you recommend? And I saw from 5:34 to 6:00, which colour you were using?
    The colour just look very similar with photo-etched sheets and I love that!
    Sorry to ask too much but im just new and love to learn more! 🙏

    • @K.buildingthings
      @K.buildingthings  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @grace megumi , let me tackle few of your question .
      1. if you planning to do a PG size, you can still a PGU into a two floor of the Domain base , but if you planning to fit a PG Unicorn, then it will be slightly over two floors
      2. the CG staircase it is modular. so you can actually swith around panels to make it a giant 1 floor stair case like what your see @7:42 or even stack it up to a 2 floor stairs. Dont worry so much about the scale as it is actually big for a 1/100 scale .
      (you probably cant tell but the Engineer figures are 1/144 and many ppl use them in PG as well)
      3. The colors, im mainly using airbrush to paint them. Not really an expert in spray can, but , going with Gun metal / Grey would give that industrial look to the base.
      as for the metalic colors i was using is from a chinese brand JUMPWIND.
      hope i manage to answer your questions. If you have more , dont shy away and go aheasd and ask.
