@@shdwskiifansinc.9584 Never seen this model kits from Bandai. Where did you see it?
Amazing build! I just placed an order for the same product but different set. Would you mind to share where to purchase the LED light please?
Hi there, thanks for watching the video. i got my LEDs off Shoppee. they come from china but unfortunately the previous seller no longer actice. There are other product avaiable , you can try searching " wired SMD LED" Size 0402 or Size 0603 . I paid roughly $5 for 20 wired LED. You can also try those robotics sellers on amazon, they might carry these product too.
Man, I love this kit, may I ask where you got it?
I got this kit from my local hobby store . Is a China brand named "Suntoys" . Kit is released back in 2017 , way before Bandai release their MGSD. There is a reissue of this kit in the recent 2 year , so try checking your online store searching Suntoy SDMG. I have another limited edition Black one you saw at the beginning .
Excellent video and I do appreciate that you were detailed with the paint you used.. Thank You.. also like that you mentioned the LED series an drill bit. Looking forward to seeing more of your works. Great job Sir.. keep it up

thank for your video awesome , but how to shading base like you ? black -> gray -> white right ?😃
For the base since is not something your eyes would focus on. So you can skip the preshade and straight do a base color (this case is black) then follow with highlights (the two shade of grey )
@@K.buildingthings i see ,Thank you very much, thank you for your quick response , have a nice day ^^

Hi! i am trying to build a base for my figuring collection. i have a couple of question on the base. is there a limit to how many based you can connect ? are they all the same edge ?. how high can you build it up, most photo i see it to max 3 levels. lastly how high in Cm/mm is 1 base ?
hi there is no limit to how many base you can connect , and the back panel is about 15cm heigh , so having 2 floors will be around 30cm usually ppl go max of 3 floor because there are not many kit taller than 45cm. If you have further question can message me directly on my IG same user name
Amazing job bro! i want some suggestion. May i know where i can get third party 1:64 maintenance crew? Bandai 1/100 is too small for my PG . Thanks alot.
hi there i just notice i never got around replying to your comment. For this build i was using the 1:100 scale version from bandai. But if you want to use it for PG, 1:64 scale will be the best , generally these can be found from those Hotwheel or scale car collectors hobby store for their diorama. Those high detail ones are usually resin printed and dont come cheap
Stl please😢
Absolutely STUNNING!!!! Those tiny details!
Next Capcom game...Monster Hunter Board Game
Excellent work! Love the details put into it. 🍻
subbed i wish i am this talented and have time to paint/decal hahah, but i do have 10 of these sitting in the backlog
You can .. it takes awhile to set it up .. 10 is just nice . Why don’t just set it up as a display first . When you decided to start painting you can work one 1 set first and test things out . Slowly progress from there
Incredible!!!!!!

@@K.buildingthings OK OK , thanks Bro!
Awesome
Really nice!! Just started with mine and will try to make it in the G3 colors. Just one thing, you had decals included with your kit? tssss, haha i didn't !
yea mine was first relase , which was like 4 or 5 year ago. and in first release they gave effect parts as well. But the decals i still used 3rd party one because the original decals given were on the greyish tone which clash with my paint. i would suggest you grab a mix of both RG rx78 and HG origin rx78 decals
@@K.buildingthings i do have the effect parts but not the original box with cool artcover. Ah okay, will have a look for the decals. Thank you 🙏
Would you recommend using matte top coat on the parts that aren’t shiny and gloss on the shiny parts or just gloss all the way through?
I didn’t matte coat anything because my client requested it to remain glossy . There aren’t many parts that are expose which are not silver coated .
@@K.buildingthings thanks for the advice im getting this kit soon in the mail and wanted some advice on a good top coat to use
Can i know what set that u use?
They are normally labelled Unit A to K..may I know how many of each you purchased?
I got total of 12 sets , so basic A-H set 1 each and additional 2 F and 1 B 1G, you can mix and match any kind of combination you like as long the wall backing are correct.
Thanks! Now I know what to buy..geez their instructions are downright confusing for me (for fitting 5-6 MG) :D
@@JerickoTejido depends how you plan to lay things out .. for me each block is 15cm x 15cm just nice for a MG . But will look very tight if you put one each . So I only made space for 5 and the rest are for the hangar bay accesories
Thanks mate!
Will ordering 1 decal enough for those?or is it safe to get 2
Son los hangares que están en Aliexpress?
i believe you can get them from aliexpress. i got them from local hobby store
I so like this domain base style,I myself started making a base with your style as standard, may I ask you The micro smd led can using by rgb controller?? How to connect it ??
@ctm Chong . The RGB is from a tea light candle set I got from MRDIY store instead of a micro SMD led... then use optic fiber cable to transfer the lights over to the runway.. The only SMD led I used are the one on the cage &the back of the base
Can refer to @24:45 part of the video

Dude this look amazing! Great work man, worth it.
Thanks for the compliment
i'm lil bit confused about last part of the video that it said 2021 but there is only 10 on it, can you explain it?
The kit was release in 2013 .. so it starts with a 1X. Hence the 10. So incase you don't know runners molds are made out of metal.. so I believe they won't be remaking a whole mold just to change a number not knowing how many more they might product for this kit.. as for the smaller digit. They actually use another tiny plate with to insert them that's my best guest Here is a pic of how a Gundam mold looks like for reference gundambuilder.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/gunpla-gold-mold.jpg
@@K.buildingthings ah i see, so when it was release on 2021 it'll be start with 2X rigth? for example when it was release on 2021 there is 20 and the arrow on the right pointing on number 1
@@meritosor yes you are right
Great work and awesome video! Do you have a slowed down or non-speed build version? There are some parts when weathering the accessories that I'd like to see your technique on in normal speed cuz the video went so fast. And do you have a link for the crane you mentioned needing to buy from VT by chance? Amazing job!!
It’s nearly impossible not to speed up the video . Else the video be at least 50 hour long . You let me know which section you wan and I try check if I recorded it using timelapse or not. If I have it on normal speed I don’t mind sharing it . DM me on Facebook. Weathering was pretty much using Mr weathering and then removing it with lighter fluid .
Is it safe to use alcohol to silver coating to clean? Did you top coated the kit?
i have no idea, i never tried using alchol. what i did use was ligther fluid to clear the panel lines. if you dont like the silver coating. better just buy the standard Freedom 2.0
@@K.buildingthings oh i see, no i just wanted to clean the oil/dirt in the kit because im planning to use glossy top coat.

Hi, Your video is perfect, I learnt a lot from your video, Thank you very much for sharing how to build a domain base! I would like build my domain base but wanna to use my 1/60 PG Gundam, not a 1/100, a little bit biggest size, so I want to ask a few more question about that. Do you think the CG domain base Staircase and Corridor also match for the 1/60 figure, like some of the maintenance? I just a bit worry about the scale. About the colour paint for the whole base, if I want to do spray paint the colour like mechanical metallic. Which colour you recommend? And I saw from 5:34 to 6:00, which colour you were using? The colour just look very similar with photo-etched sheets and I love that! Sorry to ask too much but im just new and love to learn more! 🙏
@grace megumi , let me tackle few of your question . 1. if you planning to do a PG size, you can still a PGU into a two floor of the Domain base , but if you planning to fit a PG Unicorn, then it will be slightly over two floors 2. the CG staircase it is modular. so you can actually swith around panels to make it a giant 1 floor stair case like what your see @7:42 or even stack it up to a 2 floor stairs. Dont worry so much about the scale as it is actually big for a 1/100 scale . (you probably cant tell but the Engineer figures are 1/144 and many ppl use them in PG as well) 3. The colors, im mainly using airbrush to paint them. Not really an expert in spray can, but , going with Gun metal / Grey would give that industrial look to the base. as for the metalic colors i was using is from a chinese brand JUMPWIND. hope i manage to answer your questions. If you have more , dont shy away and go aheasd and ask.
@@K.buildingthings I really really appreciate your answer my question!! It helped me a lot! Thank you so much !! !! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙇🙇
May i ask a bit more about Thinner, after I did panel line for my gundam, I try to use very little SMS Premium Thinner with cotton swabs to brush the part of the line out of bounds. But after I brush I saw like a glue conjunctiva on the surface and cannot clean it.... Is that SMS Premium Thinner different from the X20 Thinner? I am first to use this ...🙏
@@gracemegumi9181 are you using tamiya panel line ? If yes then just use x20 or zippo lighter fluid.. Googled sms thinner . Is lacquer . Lacquer is stronger than enamel will remove all.

Hello, just wanted to ask if the CG domain base compatible with VT domain base, comparing to other videos the VT is more suitable for 1/144 scale and a bit smaller in other videos as I compare it. Thanks.

@@JustForFun-hy9pp what is the voltage been used ? You need 2.5v -3v depending on color .
That's🔥! Sweeeeet work!!! Have you ever thought about a ultrasonic cleaner??
Yes, good question. i have considered Ultrasonic cleaner to clean airbrushes or other tools but the cheap ones are useless and the expensive ones are out of budget. but if talking about buying one just to wash plastic model kits , so fars it doesnt justify the price to do so.. as actually washing the parts doesnt take that much of time. and you mainly targeting main surfaces. Somehow i feel ultrasonic is best use for cleaning places you cant get your tools into clean / tight spaces.
@@K.buildingthings very ture BUT you can use it for all of the above. From kits to tools. I felt the same way too but started finding things to clean with it.lol!
