In one point of the video (e.g. 6:22 in yours) you showed there was a vignet showing the name of the city to be Izmir, not Istanbul.
Payed by Russia

The guy commentating on the video sounds like an RT guy.
Turk here, Those who carried out the attack are the youth branches of a pro-China, pro-Russia, anti-America party. I was not surprised at all when I saw those who carried out the attack. Many groups condemned this attack so the attack is not collectively endorsed by Turkish public. The attack takes place in Izmir. Unfortunately, Izmir is a big communist nest. As a Turk, I find it worrying that the country is moving so far away from the West. I also do not support Israel or Palestine but this is a criminal and cowardly act. Even if the incident is problematic, it does not matter much because the political party affiliated with this group received 0.02% of the votes in the 2018 elections. I hope they continue to get this many votes. We do not want them to turn Turkey into Iran. The most important institution that prevents this is, of course, NATO. That's why, as a Turk, I support NATO fully.

I am not American but I was so impressed with how the marines handled themselves in this situation. They acted very professional and did not escalate the situation by using violence which they could have done but being able to refrain from using violence and simply trying to resist shows how professional they are. I am not happy with what happened to them but I am so proud of those Marines and hope they are OK.
This is a side tangent, but as someone living in Tokyo and been to a lot of the touristy areas, you can definitely tell who the military men are even in civilian clothing. These men are in good to great physical shape, have clean cut hair, have very good posture and minimal if any facial hair (though I noticed a few bit of Navy men have mustaches). That said, what the hell Turkey.
Also, especially US tourists you can spot a block away. At least as a Finn, though I would assume same goes for Japanese culture, for people generally being more introverts.
Don't forget Turkey Diplomats/Security Service in DC fighting a couple of years ago. Turkey always plays both sides of the fence.
No more holidays in Turkey!
Listen that is nothing new. When I was stationed in Turkey back in the 1991 to 1992 we were told to watch ourselves and travel in 2 or more and even with that I was slapped by a Turkish man. I can guarantee you I returned fire. We had to watch ourselves.

Yeah, sure pal. Nice story.
You were slapped so in return you SHOT BACK, wow no wonder USAmericans get attacked if that's how their military behave in another country.
I would argue that Turkey was never an ally but just a geographically convenient partner due to their geography and, most importantly, due to the Bosphorus straight.
Just search what happened on July, 4th, 2003 with Turkish Special Forces in Iraq!
In ww1 the allies had the chance to neuter turkey forever by giving Bosporus back to greece.... And they didn't.

There is a story about when Paul Manafort was the campaign fixer for the Russian puppet Ukraine president who preceded Zelinsky. I think his name was Yanukovich. So, anyway, a squad of Marine embassy guards arrived at a port in Crimea to reinforce the embassy in Crimea after the Russian annexation. The Russian sympathizer Ukraine president that Manafort worked for orchestrated astro turf protests by pro Russian Ukrainians which attacked the bus that was transporting the United States marines. Threw rocks at them, attempted to roll the bus over, etc.
Paul Manafoet helped to whitewash the entire incident where the pro russian leader sent mobs to attack United States marines. He is why this might be the first time most people will even learn that this event occurred in 2014 or 2015.
WOW. Mana fort has always been a sociopathic pusmuffin. That story if verified is unsurprising given this sleazeball’s past making millions while serving as a factotum for tyrants and murderers.
Documents were found online during the afghanistan and iraq wars where russia was paying bounties to terrorists who killed Americans. Also documents were discovered the week before the attack on israel a russian company donated just under 100 million to hamas... they're paying people to attack the usa and it's allies. But we don't consider this an act of war or retaliate...
Paul Manafort is a traitor, plain and simple.
Porshenko that chocolate man preceded Zelensky. His issue was that he did not turn to the US but to Germany. He was not a pro Putin puppet

I'm so happy that they had no chance to get in EU, HUNGARY is enough!
They should leave NATO, as well. If USA want them as an ally, they should make a bilateral arrangement with them
Could you imagine if america said f off to all it's allies it disagrees with? We wouldn't have many allies at that point. Diplomacy is king.
Why should they leave NATO? They are a strong ally and we might have disagreements, but they are not an enemy. I don't think this event or Erdogan represent all of turkey

On May 16, 2017, about a dozen members of the security detail of Turkey’s president, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, attacked a group of mostly American protesters outside the Turkish ambassador’s residence in Washington, D.C. The bodyguards overran local police officers, punched and choked demonstrators, then kicked them repeatedly as they lay on the ground. Nine people were hospitalized for concussions, lacerations, and other injuries.
The attack occurred shortly after Erdoğan’s first official meeting with President Donald Trump, at the White House. Erdoğan had just arrived at the residence after that meeting. He was captured on video speaking to the head of his security team, who appeared to give an order to a nearby bodyguard; the bodyguard nodded and walked over to a cluster of security personnel, who then rushed the protesters. (They’d been demonstrating against the Turkish leader, about 100 yards away.) Erdoğan watched the attack impassively.
The reaction in Washington was furious. The House of Representatives voted 397-0 in favor of a resolution to bring the perpetrators to justice. Senator John McCain called for the expulsion of the Turkish ambassador. Federal prosecutors eventually indicted 15 of Erdoğan’s bodyguards, though all were back in Turkey by then

When I was stationed in Turkey during the 1960s we did not have anything like this, but at that time the Turkey military was under the policies of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk the founder of the modern Turkish Republic in ca 1922, who were pro Western , the present government of Turkey has changed it policies moving toward the east since Erdogan has become President.. The Turkish military and government were secular but now has become more Islamic since. Recently the President of Turkey Erdogan while speaking at the Turkish Military academy asked them to take an oath to Allah. In the 1960s the Turkish Military would not have been asked to do this. There are some changes going on in Turkey.

Youth groups have adult leadership and adult alumni.
If a bag is thrown over your head while being restrained by multiple people in the streets of Turkey things are looking pretty bad. This is kidnap/hostage stuff and that it didn't escalate into a brutal close quarters combat hand to hand is pretty amazing.

My mother used to go to Turkey on holidays, she loved it, especially the Anatolia region. I knew and liked Turks when we lived in Cyprus. But, I don't think I'll be visiting Turkey anytime soon.
The protest was a deliberate reference to the “Hood event” of July 4, 2003, when Turkish Special Forces in Sulaymaniyah, Northern Iraq, were detained by U.S. troops, who placed hoods over their heads. This event, which took place on U.S. Independence Day, created significant diplomatic tensions between the two NATO allies.
The 2003 incident involved members of the U.S. Army’s 173rd Airborne Brigade and Turkish Special Forces. The raid was reportedly motivated by concerns over Turkish intelligence activities in the region, particularly related to the collection of sensitive information on Turkmen populations. The detainment of Turkish soldiers during this operation was widely viewed in Türkiye as a national humiliation and has remained a sore point in bilateral relations.

A lot of "coincidences" lately and through the years. The State Department should issue a travel advisory about Turkiye "coincidences".
@@giveupnow000 Coincidence? These are Perinçek guys. Eurasianist Communists on Russia's leash. They have done this before. This is a protest to when Americans arrested Turkish soldiers in Iraq and put bags over their heads. They planned this and waited ready to pounce when the American ship landed to put a bag over American soldiers. They want an apology supposedly.

"Nothing on here says 'US Marines'".... Paul, that savage caterpillar absolutely SCREAMS "jarhead." That moustache is power projection, devil dog 🤘
Why they will never be admitted to the EU
Let's Hope Not!
Damn I hope this is an isolated case, I really wanted to visit Turkey but now I'm afraid of having to deal with mobs and dangerous shit like that...
I was a Marine in the 80's stationed in Hi. The locals hated us. Many fights. I spent 3 mo in the Philipines, and the locals there HATED us too. It never made headlines. People are overreacting. Imo
Americans are hated even more now
seems like a pattern
@@JohnnyGonzo77 It's almost like people don't want a foreign nation's military on their soil....
Did anyone put a plastic bag over your head? Shouldn’t it make the news or something should change? What a tard approach. “Pussies” we also almost got murdered. Just live with it. 😂
At first I read the title as, "US marines attacked by a turkey."
Why in the hell does American trust Turkey 😢😢
They dont. Theyre allies out of convenience, NATO needed to control the bosphorus and the Black Sea, and Turkish-Russian animosity has roots back to the Roman Empire.
As a US Navy veteran, US service members are extremely easy to pick out in a crowd, especially in non-english speaking ports of call.
Oh yeah that’s the problem. If they just could disguise themselves with turbans everything will be fine.
@@Lepocoloco Turks don't really wear Turbans. Maybe not wearing caps and shades saying US ARMY on them could help them blend in more.
@@yenilikci5682 why would they want to blend in? 😂 are you people mentally ill? Did they do something illegal is the question. Not if they wear slippers or if marines wear cammo and rides camels to blend in.
@@LepocolocoAlso easy to spot since they are braindead
That was very interesting Paul. Thank you. They're obviously not a youth group. Give us a break!
Remember where Jesus said Satan's Throne is.
😈: Welcome to Turkey
I never liked Turkey and always wondered why the heathens were part of NATO. Unfortunately they are in a very critical strategic location so they should think very carefully on what their next move it.
Title: " US Marines ATTACKED By A Mob in Turkey!"
my reaction: "i see... i hope the mob is okay tough"
GREY WOLFS FASCISTS!
Thanks.
What you get for visiting a muslim country.
Turquie is playing a strange game… I’m an european and I find it’s hard to trust this country!
A little late?
2 weeks old 😂
Anatolia has been a region with significant regional power and also a colony of its neighbors at the same time.
Muslim country , what would u expect?
People sometimes just get tired and show that they are tired
Turkey out of NATO!
the cult of peace just doing it's thing.
Turkish intelligence unit. They could probably all be open sourced back it.
Have you ever seen intelligence unit with beer bellies? These are paramilitary Eurasianists. Doubt any link to any real military except maybe Russia.
"When's the last time you've gotten 15 of your buddies to do the same thing at the same time?"
Been a while indeed, lol
"Young Turks" are behind ideas from 100+ years ago... I don't even understand the Ataturk image with those old punks 😂
It's a psyop by pro-Russia Eurasianist Commies. They want to lure in highschoolers to their anti-American propaganda using Ataturk. They have nothing to do with him or his ideology.
@yenilikci5682: Only turks with bad excuses would answer like you did! GIVE BACK KURDISTAN TO THE KURDS, AND GO BACK TO MONGOLIA!
TH-cam deleted my comment. I said, these guys in the video are communists that have nothing to do with Ataturk.
@@adee957 Gel de al yiyorsa.
Bald guy probably the mentor for the group 😂
And yes this was a publicity stunt for this faction/party. They weren't trying to kidnap these men. This was all pre planned with signs, a bag and chanting slogans. Broad daylight in the middle of a tourist trap and they found 2 guys who were obviously Americans. The purpose? To promote their party and drive a wedged between Turkey and NATO. And from the comments in this video it worked very well. Politics 101.
I agree - Erdogan knows exactly what he is doing and is pushing Turkiye to fundamentalism and theocracy.
@@giveupnow000 Those are pro-Kemalist, not erdoğanist. Stop buffoonery and get your facts right at the least
Thanks, Paul. It might take time to accumulate the number of police needed. It is an alarming incident.
Brazil is an autocracy, not a democracy
Only because democracy and the Brazilian way are at odds with one another.

Why is it an autocracy
Is it because your messiah elon is crying bcoz he has pay fines

These Marines seem to be trying to be very polite and not escalate the issue
I thought these marines were attacked like 2 weeks ago...
took a while to conjure the sob story and ignore the fact that no one wants Americans in their countries
This is a repeat, the dates change - but the betrayal stays the same.
