Mitsubishi F-X (unofficially called F-3) is a sixth-generation stealth fighter in development for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. It is Japan’s first domestically developed stealth fighter jet and will replace the Mitsubishi F-2 by the mid ’30s. Its development is to also bolster the nation’s defense industry and potentially enter the international arms market amid Japan’s change in defense posture. In Oct 2020, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries was selected as the lead developer. The F-X is said to be bigger than the F-22. The large size indicates the MoD desires the aircraft to possess very long range and large payload capacity.

They signed a post-war constitution at the end of WW2 stating that they would no longer militarize unless threatened, meaning there was no reason to manufacture military equipment any more. It was a brilliant move on their part. Putting their technology into infrastructure and common day causes.
All dream to imitate what Russia already has today.
