As STRIS fans, we had to have felt Street’s pain in this moment.
Personally, it feels like Chris has put off Street for so long, it’s like she doesn’t want to be with him anymore. But she regrets it soon after when he’s with someone else. If they give them the same treatment like Mac and Riley got in the MacGyver reboot, I’m gonna gut them for it..
Well, hopefully we can get MacGyver back, so we can Mac and Riley finally get together, now that the lawsuit with CBS has been settled.

All season they've had Chris rolling her eyes at this dude everytime he brings up a relationship. She doesn't even smile at the guy. Come on, who wants that? They were good friends, just get back to that, so Street can move on.

It's not fun and exciting anymore, it's just plain annoying, like, I know they want the views, but maybe they should try getting them some other way, except just pulling our legs.
I got so angry at the end of the episode, and my expectations were like basement level low, I expected at least a look like at the end of 5x09, but we didn't even get that. What are they doing?
And to think there are just 3 episodes left, I can see the cliffhanger already happening just like the last season, if it even comes to that.
I love Chris as a character, there is so much to her that can be expanded on, backstory, family, but they are destroying her. We haven't had a development of her character since the end of season 4, we got to the point where she and Street know she has feeling for him, but she is not ready. That's all there is to her character in the last year. I have no idea if Lina is leaving the show so there is no "need" to do anything, but writers need to get their heads out of their asses.
Luca (I love his character, he is a genuine good guy, comic relief, positive figure, I have nothing against him) got more development and story in 5x18 (not to talk about all of opportunities he had to lead not related to that specific episode) than Chris did since the last real productive Stris conversation at the end of season 4. They are turning her into a indecisive and unlikable character, which is such a shame.
I mean, Hondo gets so much story and material, and he is just an annoying macho guy who disrespects and distrusts the same "family" he insists should trust him back.
I feel for Street, truly, if I was him, I'd start getting really frustrated and angry. I can feel his confusion, from a fan standpoint, I want Stris to happen, but dude... Is this dragging out really necessary? They won't make character any better, they will just manage to water them down.
If getting another season means this level "oh, views mean money, we have no real idea, story or content to write, so we'll just drag out Stris as long as possible"... I mean, I don't need it.
Only really good story in the last 2 seasons is the one with Annie and Deacon trying to prove that guy innocent.

Just a few thoughts:
Shemar is one of the producers, and the central character, so he will always get more material. But. His character is so boring to me. Very righteous. Bleh.
As, far as Stris is concerned, I have enjoyed SWAT since I stopped getting too worked up about the writing staff teasing fans on social media about Stris. They did it again last night. I know it's not that serious, but still.
They have made Chris too intense. And, taken the edge off of Street.
@@stinka4079 I agree with the comments here...I am curious to see how this season ends because tbf I think Hondo's story I'd played out... his parents are together.. he has a girlfriend.. so we are looking at a wedding and maybe fertility issues?
Same with Tan.. of course you could explore his family life.. his brother etc
Deacon I am not sure like what nxt? Unless Annie goes back to school... maybe it could be his kids getting into trouble?
Not sure what they will do with Luca unless he takes over from Hicks..
All this to say the only story that continues to bring people in is Stris but you cannot drag it for ever... there are so many more stories to tell both individually and in their relationship... also I feel like SWAT has maybe one or two seasons left.
I know the show is about Hondo but like the rookie the name star gets the best parts... like Nolan always catches the bad guys...
Agree 🤔 nowdays I just watch these TH-cam clips to see if they get together, otherwise I don't bother watching, same thing with the Handmaids Tale, only watched those ep with Nick present, totally lost interest in the story
