I’m sure Lina is not leaving. She would’ve announced it already after the episode aired. If she leaves idk how I’ll feel a it the show, it just won’t be the same :/
Also the writers told us on twitter to trust them sooooo….. I actually likes this, because it’s very unexpected, and I’m sure she’ll end up coming back on the team (she has to 😭).
Depends on her contract though.. we shall see hopefully they announce in 2 wks..
I don’t know, this feels like she’s leaving; season 6 wouldn’t be the same without her. I’d still watch because it’s one of my top favorite shows, but 🥺. I kinda had a feeling when she was talking to Mama Pina that she take it on, I was hoping she’d do it part time so she could still be in SWAT. She’s so good about taking care of others that she forgets it okay to let herself be happy.
@@enoellei yeah her speech to Hondo felt like a farewell speech.. i think I will take a break from SWAT.. maybe if the clips are awesome I will go back in.. but Chris was a big part of why I watched the show... so who knows.. Lina will be missed if she goes..
@@issyikhis3449 Agreed. Lina Esco's Christina Alonso is the whole reason I got into watching SWAT. This really hurts.
This scene reminded me of season one and two with these 2 characters. They had solid one-on-one between these characters. Then slowly it started to drift away, and was even more evident in season 4, when they had no one-on-one scenes at all, until last episode, when Erika's memorial wall was revealed. This was a great scene.
A tv show has never made me cry the way this show made me cry, my fave character and my fave person in the whole world is leaving or is on the verge of leaving and ive never been more hurt, last night i cried for over an hour bc of this

Wait until the rest of the team finds out she is leaving SWAT. This is going to be hard on the team emotionally. I saw it in Hondo's eyes that he hated to lose her. She has been an amazing SWAT officer. Hands down.

I don't know if this is the end or the beginning of Chris realising her true love moment ....but whatever it is please atleast have Lina in the show , if she's leaves , what's the point left in watching . But still it's a very nicely acted way to leave swat , but not with street .

I don't understand why they have to drag their love over 5 seasons. The pacing feels bad and all that Mamapina stuff is so weird. She talks seasons about how important SWAT and women's rights are to her and she leaves SWAT for only for 3 random girls, it's not even a job. Loved the conversation between Lucas and Street. but the ending with chris and street felt forced and a bit unnatural to me.
If they don't get together after 5 seasons, I'm leaving this show.

I’ll still watch because it’s one of my favorite shows, but it certain won’t be the same. The two new recruits are kind of meh, and Chris has so much depth to her character.

This whole storyline was stupid. All she talked about was how important being apart of SWAT was for her. I know it’s just a show but I will never understand some people willingness to give up something they’re passionate about for a relationship. She’s doing all the sacrificing. If Street really wanted the relationship to work move to a different squad.

Yep. Doesn't make sense. Deacon told her in the western town they were trapped in, that there are churches and organizations that could help those women, the right way. But, of course the writers make Chris unreasonable and stubborn, as usual.
@@stinka4079 SWAT wants us to think that " illegal/ undocumented immigrant " automatically means " desperate wounded lamb fleeing for their lives ". Border Patrol can attest otherwise, as can the Sheriffs and law enforcement along the Mexican border. Enforcing the border and ensuring only those who have the right documents and legality does more to help the " POCs from the south " than painting " sanctuary houses " as something that can take their place
