Nothing will replace the iconics twins tower . yes the new world trade one center is beautiful . but the twins are missing in the new york view . it was one of the power symbol of new york , symbols to the heights of material wealth and prosperity that the western world had yet achieved. What a sad tragedy , i still remember that horror day . RIP all the victims . god bless their family's .

Anyone seen the movie with Macaulkey Culkin, "Lost in New York". One scene shows him actually on the roof of one of the towers looking thru the view finder or whatever that contraption is called. Anyway, it is an eerie scene knowing soon the towers would no longer exist yet the shot of him on the roof is so clear as the camera zooms away. Also the movie with Barbra Streisand, " Up the sandbox" made in 1972 I think clearly shows the twin towers as she & her cohorts charter a boat to reach the Statue Of Liberty. It is a great shot of the twin towers not yet completed right down to their bases. The NY skyline is not the same now they are gone.
*New York is the most beautiful city in the world. The WTC was such an irreplaceable loss for everybody who grew up watching them appearing on movies all the time.*

Es macht mich wirklich traurig, dass diese imposanten Gebäude heute nicht mehr stehen und ich sie auch nicht mehr in echt erleben konnte.
Ich war schon auf dem heutigen One World Trade Center, welches sicherlich schöner ist, dennoch kann es die beiden Twin Tower nicht ersetzen.
Ich finde es auch sehr traurig, daher wollte ich wenigstens ein Video erstellen wo man es in bester Qualität sehen kann! Nächsten Monat werde ich auch das erste mal das One World Trade Center sehen, bin schon gespannt.
Besuch doch mal das Observatory Deck.
Ist wirklich eine tolle Aussicht, nur leider komplett verglast.

I currently live in NY, but it's not as cool as the NY that had the twin towers, it would've been much cooler with the WTC as it was, so my dream was complete.

Footage of the World Trade Centre from the film Escape from New York (1981) is not footage of the real towers or the real city but a cardboard model of Manhattan
Also a fun fact: the scene where Snake lands atop of the Twins, he actually lands on the Century Plaza Towers, located in Los Angeles. It was also designed by the same architect as the World Trade Center, Minoru Yamasaki.

World Financial Center in the 1979? what? They were built in the 1980s right? so why are they still there during 1979?
