JK Gear and Gadgets how did you like your geolander G003 MT i am about to buy a set and was wondering on your experience and what tread life could I expect out of them
JK Gear and Gadgets I just watched it it seems like they would be good for a Daily Driver/weekend warrior hopefully I can get 40k out of them when I order them also do they balance well with a Bead balance?
Im leaning towards getting the XMTs this spring! How's the on road noise level? The only Mud terrains I've had are BFG KM2s, I would get another set of them when I move up to 37s, but I want something that measures more true to size. Thanks, Tim
tboyles10 I will be doing a full review soon. But as for road noise, they are extremely quiet for how aggressive they are. But remember they are still a Mt. I would say they are actually quieter than 80% of mud tires on the market. These tires are pricey, but they have blown me away Offroad, they grab everything!!!
If you lay a long flat bar on the ground then roll your tire to the Jeep and have the bottom angled in slightly then lift the pry bar you can install tires with ease and no strain. Just a thought.
Have you Ever considered the updown air system for your build? Just order mine. Haven’t seen to meany people running it! It’s kind of still new though I guess
Oh my goodness, new sub here, I was silly enough to have my wife in here watching this with me, so I need a new plan of attack on the purchase, I have a stock jeep now and hoping to get 35" soon, falls winter, but she isn't going to buy the crossfire since she watched this video with me, so we need to come up with something else. hehehehe. In all seriousness, this video cracked us both up, the jeep looks awesome, and less ir, new sub for life. Keep the fun videos coming. Dale
Haha thanks for watching!! And I think you can convince her on some 35s! It only takes a few trail rides to get hooked! Just make sure you let her drive sometimes 😝
hehehe, yes sir, she has a 4 wheeler on our little off grid cabin location, it is another channel we have, so I wont bore you with it. But she does love the back roads for sure and we have done a lot of easy trails so far, waiting for some upgrade before we try to get ourselves stuck way out by ourselves. Thanks again my friend we both really enjoyed this one. Funny stuff.
What are your thoughts on balancing with beads? I've been reading up on it and the jury is split from what I can tell. I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts. Fun video.
Cameron Ivanbeckandorfin We just got back from a 17hr drive to Colorado springs while on 37x12.5x20 with stock 4.10's and 3.6 auto with no problems. Just curious of future issues if any . Thank you gentleman
4.5” mix of parts. Metalcloak springs, bilsteins shocks, Rubicon express control arms (they suck balls), JKS trackbars, and Metalcloak front drop brackets.
You would have been happier with a set of 37" Maxxis Trepador Radials. Better trulles those axle housings or expect bent tubes. Also a 5:13 gear ratio would be optimal. Check out the RCV chromoly axles when ya bend your tubes.
Ok, I’m trying to hold back on this one. Haha first off how would rcv shafts help a bent axle housing??? Second I have 5.13s, third I have RCVs as you can see the orange CVs. Fourth I would not have been happier with 37” treps, I do a lot of highway driving. Fifth I’m running a Prorock front so no need to truss, Rear is already trussed.
JK Gear and Gadgets bent housing equals bent shafts. The Trepador radials are meant for highway, not as much wander and travel as the bias-ply. The lost travel by adding 40s with your lift height isn't worth the larger tires due to rub. All about trail traction and wheel travel.
These housings shouldn’t bend. and as for travel with the 40s I still need to flex it out and check for clearances, but with 4.5” lift I should be fine, had a ton of extra room with my 37s so with some slight adjustments and trimming I should be able to stuff the 40s pretty easily.
JK Gear and Gadgets have you upgraded your transmission yet? If not I recommend the ATS diesel ones. Mine died due to overheating running 37"+ tires and I had to replace it. Very happy with the ATS rebuild and much cheaper than a Mopar replacement. They addressed the overheating issue quite well. Beyond just adding a transmission cooler.
I wanna know how those new x-mt do cause I been looking at them since they been announced and also you can run 40s on Dana 44 cause I’m running a jk 30 in the front And 44 in the rear and the rear broke and I’m on 40s and and stick shift
The spider gears but we were in a bind and the the axle just locked up and shadered the spider gears and the ring and pinion but still running he 30 front and just replaced the gears and upgraded the ring and pinion now it does great
First of all, I love your videos. I have a 2013 jk unlimited. I’m you your opinion, what is the biggest tire I could run on a 3.5” life. I hate to ask such a silly question, but I value your opinion.
So many people are trying to tell me that I will break axles . I don’t wheel hard . Just some modest trail riding . It is my daily driver . What modifications do you recommend ? The shop I use has some high end clients. I don’t have there budget. Some guys drop 30k and more. How likely will I break my stock axles on 37” tires ?
Those tires have huge voids between lugs! I wonder how long they would last with street driving. They look killer for Wheeling, almost like a comp cut tire from the factory.
Hey man! been a subscriber since i got my jeep 2 years ago. I know this post is pretty old. But if you please answer this, it would mean a lot to me. So i purchased a 40 inch tire, but when i installed it, it has a significant rubbing. I'm running 4.5 lift, falcon adjustable shocks, Short Adjustable control arms, and my wheels has 0 Offset, but i do have 2" of wheel spacer . So i ended up not installing it because it rubs a lot. Do you think i'd be fine if i get a new set of wheels with at least 3.5" backspacing? or do i need more than that? Do i need LONG ARMS for this to work as well or will the SHORT ADJUSTABLE CONTROL ARMS be enough for 40s?
What is your lift height? I’m a bit unsure on mine. But my current set is 33.4/ 12.8/18 with quite a bit of clearance. I want more meat under to well. What is your recommendation with say a 2-4 inch lift?
Gain of 1.5” ground clearance and a bigger contact path since they have a larger diameter. On the downside I’ll have to take it easier offroad, no more bouncing and spinning tires since I’m on Dana 44s, when I go to one ton axles I will be able to beat the piss out of the 40s and not worry about breaking.
As I told Ben this week, its actually my wife that wants the 40's. I have BFG AT's in a 34.4" on my JK now. Now I am trying to figure how to get some legs for the 40's. D30/D44 is not going to make it in my engineering brain. I am glad I watched this on my iphone and not the 55". Those pink shirts were too much.
How has the rear Dana 44 held up? I’ve got a pro rock 60 semi float rear axle along with a PR44 front axle (5. Rear I’d) waiting to be installed, not sure what size tire I wanna go with. The 40’s aren’t THAT much more money I’m just nervous about the whole semi float thing. I’d love to hear your thoughts!

JK Gear and Gadgets how did you like your geolander G003 MT i am about to buy a set and was wondering on your experience and what tread life could I expect out of them
gavin frost check out my video review on them. I loved them!! Just wanted a more aggressive Offroad based tire
JK Gear and Gadgets I just watched it it seems like they would be good for a Daily Driver/weekend warrior hopefully I can get 40k out of them when I order them also do they balance well with a Bead balance?
gavin frost honestly I would just balance them traditionally, beads are sometimes a hit or miss
JK Gear and Gadgets ok that’s also what the guy at RNR said
Really looking forward to seeing the video on what upgrades (no matter how minimal) have been made to run 40's.
I'm DYING at the crossfit LOL! The cartwheel, tho! LOL!
Congrats the new X-MT are AWESOME!! Looks sweet!! I am currently running the G-003 and very happy with them.
I was extremely happy with my G003s! So far these XMTs have blown be away in every single way. They are insane offroad
Im leaning towards getting the XMTs this spring! How's the on road noise level? The only Mud terrains I've had are BFG KM2s, I would get another set of them when I move up to 37s, but I want something that measures more true to size. Thanks, Tim

Those Yokohamas are sweet looking tires, I hope they work great for ya
Great video!!! It was funny, informative and the quality was amazing. Thanks for the video brother!
Thanks 🍻, trying to add a little more “zest” to my videos
If you lay a long flat bar on the ground then roll your tire to the Jeep and have the bottom angled in slightly then lift the pry bar you can install tires with ease and no strain. Just a thought.
I’ve never seen that I don’t think, I’ll have to look into that
Bleepinjeep did a video on that
That makes the jeep more beautiful with a big fat tire
I love how it looks on 40s!
Nice tires! I have those 003 and they already awesome. Love Yokohama tires
They are amazing!
already planned to add those, except 35.
If I’m ever in your area I’m def going 4x4 ing w u guys , your awesome
I tuned in for the pink tank tops and CrossFit but the tires turned out nice too hahahaha great video
Do a video about your overlanding trailer.
Haha humor and jeeps, can’t get better than that
Those bad boys look really heavy once you tried to put them back on the Jeep
Holy crap Ben I kept waiting for the injuries to start. Glad y'all survived crossfit training. Lol
Dude these are looking amazing!
Holy Sh!t. That looks SWEET!
Thanks! Can’t wait to test them out on the trails
Turned out perfect!
The MVP right here!
I always hit my hash pen before a workout too!
Have you Ever considered the updown air system for your build? Just order mine. Haven’t seen to meany people running it! It’s kind of still new though I guess
I have! Looks like an amazing system. I hope to get it someday
JK Gear and Gadgets it does can wait to install it Friday! Great videos learned a lot from them keep them coming👍🏼🇺🇸

Those looks huge!! Awesome workout 😂
You are the best...keep it up brother !!!!
Thanks man! Hopefully some more cool mods coming in the future
JK Gear and Gadgets looking forward. I never find out what did you do with the f350 axles.
Still have them, project got put on hold for a while but I will still do them. When I start working on them again I will make videos of each step
They look great men👍👍👍
Thank you!
Vibrations? Hard to balance.? Love the 40s
Extremely smooth and a lot quieter than you would think! The tire shop had no issues balancing them
What are your thoughts on balancing with beads? I've been reading up on it and the jury is split from what I can tell.
I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts.
Fun video.
Those look so freaking sweet!
Please do a tire update! I'm debating between these and the G003's you had before. Both would be in a 37 12.50 17.
Heck yah!
Awesome video! Keep up the good work!
Nice jeep I have 40s in me 1991 YJ
I can't believe im just now hearing about these.
First time I’ve seen one of your videos and subscribed , don’t let me down lol
Haha thanks for the sub!
You had me at pink tank top. Subscribed. Hahahaha
Jeep video with humor.....loved it man. Beautiful jeep.
For those who stepped up to 37s or stepping up . Any issues with your D44s an 37 inch tires?
The 44s are a great axle for 37s, but need some upgrades. Front c gussets are mandatory, truss front and rear, rear chromoly shafts, and regear!
Ive been running 37s since 2012. And my axles are perfectly fine.
Cameron Ivanbeckandorfin
We just got back from a 17hr drive to Colorado springs while on 37x12.5x20 with stock 4.10's and 3.6 auto with no problems. Just curious of future issues if any . Thank you gentleman
I run stock gears. Stock axles. and a 3.6 auto as well. Legit have had zero issues. Other than the usual shit engine problems.
You will be fine running them on stock 44s, but if you plan on off-roading then you will need to upgrade.
Great video man!
40s are the new 35s 🤘🏽.. my heart tells me yes but my wallet tells me no 😔
😢 borrow someone else’s wallet?
Lmao😂 reminded me of that song lmfao
Jusy buy tires 2nd hand I bought 5 37x12r17s 2nd hand for 350$
hahahahahaha! Facts! Everybody has 40s now. No one has regeared, tho. LOL!
How loud are they looks like they would be loud
Not loud at all!! Yokohama put magic into these 😂
This is awesome!! You won’t wear that tank on the next ride!
Bet!
Same
And what you mean next ride??? It’s a pavement princess now 😂
what is the lift on your jeep? and love the crossfit
4.5” mix of parts. Metalcloak springs, bilsteins shocks, Rubicon express control arms (they suck balls), JKS trackbars, and Metalcloak front drop brackets.
I want pettey in all your videos lol. Great video and the 4ds look great on your jeep
At about the 6:17 mark, the sound just went away on the video. I thought it was my laptop.
Update video coming??
Yep! They’ve done amazing in all the terrains, but want to get some more road miles on them so I can measure the wear
Audio cut out with 3:53 remaining on the video.
Whats the biggest people usually go on d44s
What size lift do you have? ..how wide are the new tires? What wheel off set and width? ..im total amazed at how much better it looks
4.5” loft, new tires are 40x13.5r17 and wheels are 3.75” backspacing and 8.5” wide
What lift height do you have?
4.5”
You would have been happier with a set of 37" Maxxis Trepador Radials. Better trulles those axle housings or expect bent tubes. Also a 5:13 gear ratio would be optimal. Check out the RCV chromoly axles when ya bend your tubes.
Ok, I’m trying to hold back on this one. Haha first off how would rcv shafts help a bent axle housing??? Second I have 5.13s, third I have RCVs as you can see the orange CVs. Very happy with the ATS rebuild and much cheaper than a Mopar replacement. They addressed the overheating issue quite well. Beyond just adding a transmission cooler.
I have the 6 speed, so that’s not an issue
That's a great looking Jeep. Makes me wish I'd maybe gotten red instead of black. ;)
Thank you! But I’ll say I’m a sucker for a clean black jeep!
Every color has something over another color. What matters is you like it, sometimes I wonder how nice my white would look with a coat of black.
You and JK Gear are both nice people. Thank you. :)
Okay, but what size rims would I need for 40 inch tires because I'd love a set of custom rims within my 40's
17s or 20s. Try to stay around 9” width
Where did you find the new Yokohama’s I’ve been looking on line for some and can’t seem to locate any? Great videos by the way keep up the good work!
They will be for sale starting July 1st, got these from a secret squirrel 🤫
What about your gear ratio???? Braking on the trail not fun!!!
I wanna know how those new x-mt do cause I been looking at them since they been announced and also you can run 40s on Dana 44 cause I’m running a jk 30 in the front And 44 in the rear and the rear broke and I’m on 40s and and stick shift
What did you break?
The spider gears but we were in a bind and the the axle just locked up and shadered the spider gears and the ring and pinion but still running he 30 front and just replaced the gears and upgraded the ring and pinion now it does great
do you live in North Carolina? I heard Pete say yall head out to Uwharrie that place is rad
In VA, but go to uwharrie fairly often
you should say when you are going in the videos and have a subscriber meetup or something
That’s a good idea! I think I might do that, always love meeting new people
Yea Uwharrie is such a great park!
My face when I see the notification that JK gear and Gadgets uploaded a video>>>😩
You get sad???
It’s a moan of relief because I get to see more if you’re awesome build
Ahhh ok haha 😀
Wat you think RCV front ten factory rear ,my jkrubicon, in factoy housing l want put 38 tires ,,thank you
That would work well. Add a rear truss and front C gussets as well
God damn that looks good!!!
Thanks! I agree!
Those are some serious tires! Great workout and fashion sense! :)
you selling the 37s?
Eventually yes. Want to make sure these 40s work well for me first
You put new axle shafts
Yes front and rear
Where did you get the tires can't even find them yet! And I want a set 👍
They will be for sale July 1st!
I got them from a secret source haha
I am taking that I love it , are they alright for street manner bro?
What size lift
And it felt good, yup
@JK Gear and Gadgets , where do I get that squad goals shirt?
It was from Offroad elements, not sure if they are still selling them
How many pond air put thi tires
I run 28 psi
GO TEAM RUGGED
First of all, I love your videos. I have a 2013 jk unlimited. I’m you your opinion, what is the biggest tire I could run on a 3.5” life. I hate to ask such a silly question, but I value your opinion.
3.5” lift will fit 35s with stock fenders, 37s with high clearance fenders and some body trimming.
And there’s no such thing as a silly question. I’m here to help!
Thomas & Elaine Carden what kind of jeep is it? Sport or rubicon? That will be a big factor on what tires you can run on your axles
JK Gear and Gadgets , it is a sport unlimited 4 door
Love the channel man!
Thanks!
do you have a video on your rock ram?
No, but I can talk about it an upcoming video
Those tires have huge voids between lugs! I wonder how long they would last with street driving. They look killer for Wheeling, almost like a comp cut tire from the factory.
So far they are lasting very well on the street!
Nice looking Jk !!!!! Funny video🙈.
What gears you are going to run?
Running 5.13s. When I build my one tons I will go with 538s
Thanks for the reply!!!
How do you go about adjusting your speedometer with bigger tires?
I use the aev procal, but there are quiet a few other options that will work, rough country makes one and so does superchips
What kind of rims are those? I'm trying to determine which chrome bedlocks... I love your set up!!
These are racelines
I think Gil should out the Squad Goals prints on those pink cross fit tops🔥🔥🔥
I’d rock it! Let’s make it happen
Hey man! been a subscriber since i got my jeep 2 years ago. I know this post is pretty old. But if you please answer this, it would mean a lot to me. So i purchased a 40 inch tire, but when i installed it, it has a significant rubbing. Do i need LONG ARMS for this to work as well or will the SHORT ADJUSTABLE CONTROL ARMS be enough for 40s?
Funny video..... definetly make a follow up video, like to see what if anything you had to do to the rear to make it fit for flex
Dude... Hilarious. I was crackn all the way up. LMAAOOO
Subscribed just for the intro! 😂😂😂 Good video nonetheless
forgot to ask. how did you like those mastercraft mxts?
I liked them, they worked well but you could tell they were a cheaper tire. They worked good but left a little to be desired
Wasn't expecting the workout routine.
Haha I thought it added some good humor
What size lift are you running?
4.5” check out my recent walk around video and I talk about all the specs and mods on the jeep
How about that xj in the background 😎
Cost for 5 ?
The Jeep looks good. Do you think the 5.13's will be enough? Scott
Yep! 538s would be better, but not worth it to change it up. When I build my one tons I will go with 538
Great channel - subbed. I will be adding Jeep content on my channel soon. Scott
Hahaha....Best jeep channel on youtube...
What is your lift height? I’m a bit unsure on mine. But my current set is 33.4/ 12.8/18 with quite a bit of clearance. I want more meat under to well. What is your recommendation with say a 2-4 inch lift?
What brakes are you running?
Stock for now. It honestly doesn’t seem so bad so far.
Where can I buy that shirt?
Which one? The black squad goals?
The black one with the grilles and “squad goals” is from offroad Elements
How much of a difference does a 40” make versus a 37”?
In regards to what?
JK Gear and Gadgets off road performance
Gain of 1.5” ground clearance and a bigger contact path since they have a larger diameter. On the downside I’ll have to take it easier offroad, no more bouncing and spinning tires since I’m on Dana 44s, when I go to one ton axles I will be able to beat the piss out of the 40s and not worry about breaking.
JK Gear and Gadgets super cool! I’ll have to subscribe.
How much lift do u have
4.5”
How loud are those 40s on the road?
So far I’m very impressed, a lot quieter than you would think!
Dear GOD. This is the best one yet 😂😂😂
Haha thanks bud. Trying to keep them entertaining
“PARKOUR!!!” -The Office
Go team rugged!!
