This movie taught me, as a younger kid, that old people really need people around them to be friendly. They’ve had more years to feel sadness and pain and they lose friends more and more as the years go on. I’ll always be very grateful to the elderly and I think they deserve kindness as much as humanly possible 😊
We also regret, most of us, the wasted time of our youth on foolish worries, efforts, self destructive behaviors, etc ... if you are young live happily, love yourself, find a reason to laugh and smile every day ... on your deathbed the only thing remembered is all the love you gave to others even if not reciprocated

34 years old and this movie makes me cry. The bucket list is a real thing when you have nothing left to hold onto... It's a motivation you just can't understand until you're there, and a motivation you don't let go of.

Face death once and it strangely liberates you. If you survive of course. Had mine at 21, never had such an appreciation of the little things, and i learnt to just stop and just let the world move around me from time to time, just for a little bit. Even started getting up early. Though that was later but teething issues. But just like a machine, it has big important parts, moving parts, small bits, and complicated bits. But without the little fasteners, the little things, it all just falls apart. Or simply doesn't work.

I almost broke down many times while watching it because I had a friendship like that until Thom passed away back in 1999. Thank you so much for experiencing those feelings again.
My freshman year of high school (2008-09) my English teacher played this movie for us in class. I’m pretty sure he bought the dvd himself and thought “I need to show my class this”. I think he is a great man and this movie did a good job at opening our minds and heart to a lot more of life. I’ve always appreciated that man for his way of teaching.

OMG.... To see 2 amazing actors in a movie like this is STUNNING! 2 charismatic, charming, relatable and caring actors in such a movie is an absolute blessing to say the least. This movie brought a tear to my eye for so many reasons but mainly bc it's relatable and hit so close to home. Idk where you get information from but… no. They would die if they were only fed coffee beans that they are unable to digest and receive nutrients from, they are fed a mixture of things ranging from plants to meats all mixed with the intact coffee beans

So now that the cats are locked up, the whole purpose of the cat is defeated. So it's all very sad.

My mom took me on a day trip to a huge city one afternoon when I was a kid. We weren’t super well off, but out of nowhere she got me a new cologne, a DS game from GameStop, and took me to see this movie. She fought breast cancer from 2013-2020 when she took her last breath two hours after she turned 50 years old. I can’t bring myself to watch the movie in its totality again because I don’t want to spoil the special memory I have of seeing it with her. I miss her more than I can describe. I love you, Mom.

Never watched this complete movie. It was too hard. I was dying from liver failure and only had a little time left. Thankfully I got a liver transplant even thigh I died on the table. I was revived and I am alive now. I think I need to put this movie back on my bucket list

Without exaggeration this movie is one of the best movies of all time. Explores life through a different lens and honestly the ending is perfect.

Never watched this complete movie. It was too hard. I was dying from liver failure and only had a little time left. Thankfully I got a liver transplant even thigh I died on the table. I was revived and I am alive now. I think I need to put this movie back on my bucket list
