You have awaken my heart and helped it remember who I am at my core. I didn't realize until this weekend that I had drifted so far away from the mother and woman I was several years back. Today I didn't rush to take off my dress and makeup upon arriving home from church. Instead, I left them on and removed the dust from my apron and joyfully put it on. As I went about making lunch, juicing, and making immunity ice cubes (best little treat for stuffy noses and sore throats), I was taken back to a time when my children were young. We lived in our aprons and spent all day Sunday cooking in the kitchen, laughing, dancing, and nibbling on all the goodies. Thank you for reminding me of who I am, I am a woman of God who loves to busy herself with woman's work... Yes I said it, woman's work. Have a blessed Sunday and May God bless you for the good work you are doing. :) BEST DAY!
This is such a good message. I have a medical condition that causes a lot of exhaustion. I have started telling myself, take care of yourself, but do something today. Even if it's just folding blankets or knitting while I sit in bed, I feel better knowing that I accomplished something. This video was really good encouragement. 💖
Oh Britney, I will pray for you! I am not ruling out medical conditions because I know that makes things exceedingly more difficult! I am glad that you saw through my message to know that anything is possible, even during our hardest struggles! :)
love the whole mending process! I watch another channel, where a lady mends just such garments, and then stiches her initials next to the repair, making it a beautiful keepsake, rather than just a patched item (not that it would bad on itd own) but her artistic mind makes me look at such a small gesture in a grander way..
You'll need to share this channel with me! Thank you for your encouraging words! My goal is to always get to it ASAP or it will sit untouched for a long time! Thank you for sharing this comment with me! I so appreciate your insight and thoughts!
God Bless you. I am learning so much from your videos and I appreciate your teachings. I have been dragging through life after the death of my sweet soul kitty. It was so painful like losing a child. Its been a month and I just want to move forward already because it's really held me back just feeling this grief and depression. I still cry at times but I want to think that his transition is a celebration rather than grief. I want to think that his free spirit is in heavenly bliss.
Hi! New subscriber just wanting to encourage you (and thank you for encouraging your viewers)! I'm also a 'tired' mom and really needed this message today. Thank you and God bless you!
Just found your channel, looking forward to following. St. Thérèse has greatly inspired me of late, and it has been such a joy learning more about the little way.
Thanks for linking the pasta for lasagna recipe in another comment! I don’t love the pasta at the store because I haven’t found a good quality one in my area. The recipe doesn’t seem like it overwhelming difficult, so I’m going to try it for my household soon. I saw another pasta recipe but it was more steps and you needed an expensive machine to do it.
There are seasons when Mom needs to rest so she doesn't get sick. Sometimes if we don't rest, resentments can build and lead to sin. I think one needs to tread carefully and really learn about yourself. If one is homeschooling with littles, it might not be the season to volunteer. That might be better for an older mom. Talk to your spouse too. Pray and discern God's will for you. I do like how you framed this video with questions for contemplation.
Well said. I love how you speak and what you speak. Thought provoking. Thank you. And the sound is just fine, I like that it is not very loud, as if a sister talking to me sitting close to me. p.s. you can scrub all the flour and bits of dough into the main dough as you are making it, to avoid any waste. Ideally the bowl or the top where the dough is made should be clean clean. Also, when rolling the dough, if you have a thinner and longer pin and you roll your dough on it and roll it it will help to make it 1-2 mm thin (you can find videos on youtube). If you only have the pin in the video, you can roll the sheets after you cut them - roll then onto the pin (with enough flour on them) and roll it with hands from center to the edges, then unroll and repeat again
Your advice is priceless! I do that sometimes but often, I forget! :) Thank you so much for being a part of my journey. And I can't quite figure out what "volume" I want. I don't want to deafen anyone. 😆
Me personally I struggle with the sound. I find the music is too loud and I can't hear what you say, so I use the subtitles so that I know what you are saying x
@@UneAnglaise-p3x Thank you for your grace. Working on it! I go back and forth whether or not I need the music. I appreciate your honest feedback in a kind manner!
Hello Ina, it's me once again. I love cooking from scratch, too, and my husband has commented that my cooking has definitely improved compared when we were newly married. I'll try making lasagna with fresh noodles just like you did, I haven't tried before and thinking to use my pizza dough recipe for the it. Do you think it will work?
Great idea~ Your husband sounds awesome. I think the pizza dough will work but will have a different texture. My video didn't show the eggs I used, which is the difference in my pizza dough (I don't use eggs in my pizza dough). I hope that's helpful!

It is so good! I am sticking to lasagna so that I don't have to cut and dry out, but I may be doing that soon! You've got this!

Sometimes being too tired is not "an excuse." Get a health check. Physical and Mental. Take care of yourself - please.

Can we get the lasagna recipe, or at least the noodle part?
Yes! I got it from Stephanie at the Hopewell Heights blog! She is another Catholic homemaking TH-camr who inspires me!
