I enjoyed this so much. Just one point I would like to share. What makes us righteous is our perfect Savior Jesus Christ. Not one thing adds to this or takes away from His righteousness. To the pure all things are pure. So while we may avoid some things because they don’t serve eternal priorities, we are not defiled by them because Christ has perfected us in our sanctification. It’s always about our hearts and others. Paul said I have become all things to all people that I might win some. He puts people and eternity above devotion to a specific culture. Obviously, I’m not speaking of sin, I’m talking about casual brushes with culture. I thought all of your reasons for avoiding Halloween were absolutely biblical and I can tell you’re not stating doctrinal absolutes. I’m sharing my balance of how I live in the world and I am not of the world in my old age. Blessings - I subscribed ❤
Absolutely!! We can't be saved by works or doing/not doing XYZ. Through Jesus Christ alone! I appreciate you saying this in case someone needs to be reminded of this 🫶🏽💕 Thanks for watching and being here ☺️
I understand 😊 I have been free from these celebrated holidays for over four years and some much longer. If people only knew the freedom and blessings in giving these things up and following the Lord Jesus Christ ❤❤❤
I feel the same way with scary movies. I would love for my kids to not do Halloween but my husband is a non believer and thinks I’m making them miss out for no reason, so we compromise. No decorating for Halloween, no scary movies, no costumes that are scary or horrific, we only visit people we know, I also talk to them of why we don’t want to get too involved with Halloween and if at anytime they feel like they don’t want to participate they don’t have to. Just an encouragement for anyone that feels like they don’t want to celebrate Halloween but feel for whatever reason you can’t, you can always set boundaries.
Thank you for sharing ❤ My husband isn't a non believer, he just is more humorous about it, and my kids love dressing up on halloween, so it's conflicting for me sometimes still.
I was convicted to stop celebrating Easter and instead celebrate the Passover as this is when our Messiah actually died. I also no longer celebrate Christmas because we know that our Messiah was not born during the winter as there wouldn't have been shepherds watching their flock at night during the winter. And so I choose Truth and accept that Christmas is not a Biblical celebrate. Let's worship our Messiah in Spirit and Truth.
Yes! It gets strange looks that my family also believes this way, especially not celebrating Halloween, but as I teach my children, these are our convictions and we need to obey God's word.
My husband and I decided this year to not celebrate halloween. Praise the Lord there are witches coming to Jesus who are now sharing what being involved in that world really means. It opened our eyes to halloween and some other things and we have peace about passing on it.
I’ve watched a couple of videos on what ex-witches had to say about halloween.. that is the what completely convinced me to not want anything to do with halloween along with always being convicted about it myself. Praying others can look and see those videos as well 🙏🏼
So awesome to hear when the fruits of your labor are shown in parenting. It's hard to imagine my kiddos grown with them being 7 & under. Thanks for sharing ☺️
I take the day off of work so I am not forced into an awkward situation with coworkers wearing costumes or bringing in their kids to trick or treat. People think i am weird but the testimonies of ex-witches and warlocks were enough to convince me that I do not want to give the devil a reason to gloat over a Christian participating in his holiday. Halloween is canceled in my corner of the world!
We don't do Halloween, Christmas or Easter. We celebrate the biblical feasts❤ it's harder for everyone else to accept, so expect backlash but that just means their not walking the narrow path as we r called to do

If possible please pray for me sister. Same! With the scary movies. I grew up watching them my mom was very into them so we watched them. No wonder I have ( it’s gotten better) so much fear in my heart. I’ve ask the lord to take the images I’ve seen on films away. They are so awful. Gossiping is one that I’ve he’s been working on me with. It’s so hard not to get into it with work and your co workers. It’s the fear of not feeling welcomed by them because I won’t be like them but I’m not called to be like the world. Such a good vid!.

Hi Destiny, yes to part two please. I've been convicted of many things too after reading my Bible. The pagan holidays were an eye opener for me because it glorifies the kingdom of darkness. Halloween is a huge no for me, I know too much about it to be okay with it. When it comes to Christmas I didn't understand why Christians still celebrate it but after I prayed I came to understand that there are people who don't know the facts about Christmas and they think is about the birth of our Saviour Jesus; but God knows the condition of their hearts and just the same He knows who is enamored with the pagan traditions and paraphernalia and that that's where their joy comes from. I choose not to partake because of the facts of the time of the birth of Jesus Christ; but most of all because the Bible tells us not to worship God the way pagans do but also because historic documents attest to the pagan winter solstice mergence with the birth of Jesus Christ by the roman catholic church who renamed it Christ-mas. So, I have certain rules I follow when I subscribe to a channel because I want to protect my faith and convictions; is not personal, and is not easy when I like a person. If they take Gods name in vain often in their vocabulary I wont subscribe or watch their videos, If they celebrate halloween and promote it I wont subscribe or watch their videos. If they celebrate christmas I wont subscribe, but I might make an exception if they pass my other rules and if they don't focus on tradition but on their faith; if I choose not to subscribe I still check their other videos from time to time if their focus is to honor and to glorify Jesus. These are some of the things I do to help me stay true to my convictions because what we give our attention to will influence us and I dont want to be swayed back and forth, is just not worth it.

We stopped celebrating Halloween also, it is very dark and celebrates death. Early on in my motherhood I allowed superhero costumes and funny stuff, no evil things. I just found your channel and it was a delight to hear your prayer at the beginning! My family and I also refrain from celebrating Halloween. Funny how even Christians feel so strongly about being able to celebrate a pagan holiday. I’m eager to watch more of your videos. Blessings in Christ!
God bless you ❤ I came across your channel a few days ago and I’m loving it!! Thank you for your point of view. It makes me realize that we’re not alone when it comes to doing things the way God has wanted us to do.
Today was the first time I’ve watched one of your videos and loved it.❤ For many years, my family and I have avoided anything related to Halloween. Instead, we have decided to follow Jesus 100%. Yes sister, do a second part and may the Lord use you to persuade many to serve him more.
This was so good! Part two would be awesome! We have been married for almost 27 years, and the first few years we did a dress up thing at our church with the kids, but we also became convicted. It's been well over 20 years, and we are so thankful to be set apart from the world on this day.
@@lauramitchell6725 Actually we don't go to the same church. But we didn't partake after the first few years, and still attended there at the time yes.
God convicted me of wearing men’s clothes, I had been wearing blue jeans and T-shirts since I was a child! I was reading my Bible and God told me to dress like a lady! I’m 70 years old and I can’t believe how many compliments I’ve been getting! I also don’t celebrate Halloween, Christmas or Easter anymore! I celebrate Gods holidays as told about in Leviticus.
Our family does not celebrate Halloween. I watched a sermon about it. It was very eye opening. In my opinion Halloween is satanic. We decorate for fall. Pumpkins. Last year the kids and I went to the mall to go shopping. My kids were the only kids who were not dressed up in costumes. When I first became a believer God really convicted me on Halloween. Thank you for posting. I'm glad I'm not alone in this. Please part two!
Pumpkins and carving pumpkins and placing them on your front porch is opening portals in the spiritual realm to summon demon gods to your home. Ask Lord Jesus Christ, God of Israel for discernment.
I very much appreciate your approach and how you encourage your viewers to seek the LORD in everything. Bless you and your family and keep following the guidance of the Holy Spirit. May you keep your eyes fixed upon the Most High God and not fall into deception. (Not suggesting at all that you are - but that is the enemy's most powerful weapon against us- deception and fear.) I pray in agreement with you that everyone who views will seek the LORD with their whole hearts and lean not on their own understanding.
Yes I talked about this on my podcast What's Not Seen. If you would like a deeper dive into this topic please have a listen and let me know what you think 😊
Hi! We are a Christian family deeply involved with a local church body and we do celebrate Halloween. It’s so interesting to read the different responses to this video and I can respect them all 😊 I also understand how powerful conviction is and how deeply personal that is for your walk with Jesus. However, I wanted to offer a differing point of view. My husband and I have talked about this topic before and our conviction is that Jesus is a redeemer. We use Halloween to celebrate family time. We talk about scary things that my children encounter to help them work through fear and how important it is to lean into Gods goodness. As long as Jesus dwells within us, we can look darkness in the face knowing the battle has already been won ❤ and more than that, Jesus can redeem even what man means for evil.
Hey!! Thank you for sharing 😊 I agree about teaching our children how to bring their fears to the Lord, we spend the evening with a movie and yummy snacks and enjoy family time also 🫶🏽
Yes , please, it will be refreshing to know that I'm not alone. Feel so covicted when people want me to act certain ways and say is not bad. But the holly spirit always hold me back.
I agree I am 84 and stopped celebrating Halloween years ago with our children I would take them out to eat away from beggars on beggars night. Yes have number 2 I am new here.
Yes no Halloween at all but love fall decor. I also dont put up a Christmas tree because there is so much pagan ties to it. I just winter decorate but for Christmas i make sure my nativity is the main focus. Even though people have tried to Christianize their tree, well someone recently pointed out the devil doesnt care how you feel about something, your still practicing it.
I don't celebrate Halloween b/c I live in the middle of nowhere so it worked out that I don't have to shell out free high blood sugar to children at my door, but oddly enough the closest Baptist Church invites us to Trunk or Treat every year... it's just more safe for the local kids, I guess.
Hi I came across your video and I’m going to share it. I consider myself as a woman of GOD. I do wear short skirts but not really short, I wear them only at home. I never really celebrated Halloween, I would buy candy just for home and my children would watch tv, play games, ect. Then my church would give out candy for the community and would tell people not to come with scary costumes. I no longer go to the church for Halloween, due to the fact that it’s beyond pack and I don’t feel right doing it. In my home GOD, comes first then my children. I don’t decorate outside for Christmas, but my husband wanted a tree up inside. I have taught my family that Christmas, it’s about gifts it’s about GOD, and fellowship with each other and having a meal and we each tell about what we are thankful for.Tfs your video 🤗
Do you not even know what halloween is. Its actually called all hallows eve. The pilgrims called it that to celebrate the end of the harvest season. Not ghosts and demons. I make food to feed my family. Back then people carved big turnips and put candles in them to let others see where the food is. They do not teach this in public schools. But i teach it in homeschool. Thats all i have to say. Thank you for the video.
Just just looked it up: Halloween was a Celtic celebration when they believed that the “veil” between the living and the dead was the thinnest,so “All hallows Eve” was when they believed that all souls could cross over from the dead to the living. By the way, “All Souls Day” is celebrated on November 1st.,which is why the night before is “All Hallows Eve” or Halloween.
I'm definitely all about celebrating the harvest and fruits from the harvest. But not Halloween, that's my conviction from the Lord. Thanks for commenting ☺️
I do not watch scary movies … totally convicted inside my Heart and soul I do not celebrate Halloween whatsoever…. To me it’s totally Demonic .also hate all the fake skeletons… Halloween seems harmless ,, but OHHHH NO NOT TO ME …. I LOVE FALL ITS MY FAVORITE SEASON…. I DO LOVE THE PUMPKINS BUT NEVER WILL. CARVE .. THERE ARE CHURCHES THAT CELEBRATE IT… … OF course I am nor will never be sinless …. Being a Born again … Christian…. I for myself only ….can not do any of this ..this is where I feel… convicted Your sister in Christ…✝️🙏❤️🥰🍁🍂💐
We've never celebrated Halloween as well. Besides the obvious reasons.. Why would anyone want to celebrate this it.. The world is scary enough.. Why would anyone want to do things purposely to scare kids and encourage going door to door to strangers homes where you don't know what evil lurks and decorate with scary evil things? My children stayed home from school if it was on a school day. I also encountered controversy in the church because I don't agree with the Trunk or Treat events the churches do...its not an outreach... Its basically halloween. Anyone else with me?
Glad to have found this video, I had major heart surgery and I had a overwhelming feeling to stop some of things I was doing, I stopped all my Halloween decorations, I got rid of them, I stopped reading paranormal books and gone too, I deleted all Apps concerning anything Halloween or New Age, got rid of New Age crystals, clothes, stop practicing Yoga or anything New Age, I want to let people know I was saved but long ago but left Christ, but He has come to me in Spirit letting me know He was still waiting for me to come to Him again, I am so happy to say I did and even my husband agreed to help get rid of anything Halloween, we were able to get my adult kids together and have a Thanksgiving for who knows when I may see them again, it was beautiful and for the first time, I said a Blessing over the food and was in tears, Thank you Lord for never leaving me and may this be one of many beautiful Steps I take with you, in Jesus name, Amen
We don't celebrate Halloween, but I've given up having all the lights off, so no trick a treater doesn't knock on the door. It was ridiculous. So, now I give the candy.
Just discovered your channel, thank you for this video. My family never celebrated Halloween growing up but now that I’m married and my husband is involved with the youth in our church it’s just a weird feeling…my 5 year old really wants to dress up but I just don’t know how to go about Halloween. A harvest party at our church is what we’ve done in the past with trunk or treats and I decorated my vehicle like a pumpkin patch, nothing scary. As the “devils day” as some would call it approaches I’m just so confused as to what to do, I’d rather have a glow party and treats with a family movie night at home but then there’s pressure from even family members to participate at church…..🫠
can I share something with you? this is what I remind my self when I feel conflicted about what society or family expects from me and my loyalty to Jesus and that is "when you please men, you displease God" that always settles it for me, I hope it helps you. God bless you.
It's so hard especially when it feels pressure from the church. We had a fun movie night with takeout tacos & some yummy homemade hot chocolate! They kids didn't even miss going out, they play dress up most days anyways 😜
@ Haha awesome! Glad you found something to do as a family that everyone can enjoy! We did a glow party and scavenger hunt for candy at home, my girls put on their princess dresses that they always wear and watched Monsters Inc as a family, it was great we all had fun and no pressure to participate in anything we weren’t comfortable with, not to mention it was pouring rain and freezing cold out……

Love the fall season!
We don't participate in Halloween. I do decorate with pumpkins for the change of seasons.
Love the change of seasons and all the unique pumpkins!
My daughter's Birthday is on Halloween, I call her my pumpkin baby and i always try to make is special and fun.
My daughter is also born on halloween. My husband calls her a hallelujah baby and says she's a bright light on a dark day :).
Birthdays on holidays can be tough! It sounds like both of you are making it special 💕
Thanks for sharing. Yes, part 2 please
Thanks for watching 💕
I just found your channel and it was a delight to hear your prayer at the beginning! My family and I also refrain from celebrating Halloween. Funny how even Christians feel so strongly about being able to celebrate a pagan holiday. I’m eager to watch more of your videos. Blessings in Christ!
Blessing 💕 thanks for being here
Beautifully said❤ new subscriber here!
Welcome 🤗💕
God bless you ❤
I came across your channel a few days ago and I’m loving it!! Thank you for your point of view. It makes me realize that we’re not alone when it comes to doing things the way God has wanted us to do.
I'm so glad you're here! 💕
Today was the first time I’ve watched one of your videos and loved it.❤ For many years, my family and I have avoided anything related to Halloween. Instead, we have decided to follow Jesus 100%.
Yes sister, do a second part and may the Lord use you to persuade many to serve him more.
I'm so glad you're here!! Thank you 💖
Absolutely! Part 2, please! 🤍💛🤍
For sure! 😊
This was so good! Part two would be awesome! We have been married for almost 27 years, and the first few years we did a dress up thing at our church with the kids, but we also became convicted. It's been well over 20 years, and we are so thankful to be set apart from the world on this day.
So awesome! Congratulations on almost 27 years! 🙌🏽🥰
So earnest question here: does your church still do “the dress up thing”, and if so,do you still attend there?
@@simplylivingmama Awe..thank you!
@@lauramitchell6725 Actually we don't go to the same church. But we didn't partake after the first few years, and still attended there at the time yes.
The few years we did attend there, they asked the kids to dress in someone from scripture as opposed to anything scary, so that was fun.
My family loves Halloween examples my mom. Her church does trunk or treat. The town where I live the business hand out candy. we don't participate.
Pumpkins and carving pumpkins and placing them on your front porch is opening portals in the spiritual realm to summon demon gods to your home. Ask Lord Jesus Christ, God of Israel for discernment.
@@margaretdavis81trick or treat is still celebrating Halloween. It’s demonic! Come out of Satan’s matrix!!!!
We do not carve our pumpkins. When I see a carved pumpkin I cringe. You are right it does open a portal to the devil. I agree with you
Thank you for sharing 😊 there will be a part two 🥰
I do not celebrate halloween….. no way! It’s been 10 years that I haven’t celebrated. Blessings to you and your family ❤
Thank you, blessings to you as well
I walk through the shops with Halloween items and think why would a godly home have these demonic things in them
😞
This was lovely, thank you. ❤
Glad you enjoyed it! ☺️
Thank you 💕
Beautiful.
💕
Yes I talked about this on my podcast What's Not Seen. If you would like a deeper dive into this topic please have a listen and let me know what you think 😊
I'll have to check it out! Thanks for sharing ☺️
Thank you for sharing ❤
Hey!! Thank you for sharing 😊 I agree about teaching our children how to bring their fears to the Lord, we spend the evening with a movie and yummy snacks and enjoy family time also 🫶🏽
Such a good video. Part two for Gods glory
Thank you!! 😊
Yes do a part 2 please 😊
🥰
Your channel just came up for me and I love it already... New Subscriber here
Thank you!! So glad you're here 😊
Yes , please, it will be refreshing to know that I'm not alone. Feel so covicted when people want me to act certain ways and say is not bad. But the holly spirit always hold me back.

You got it! 🥰 Thanks for being here!
I agree I am 84 and stopped celebrating Halloween years ago with our children I would take them out to eat away from beggars on beggars night. Yes have number 2 I am new here.
Welcome 😊 so glad you're here!!
Part 2, yes! Were you making chicken broth? Do you have a recipe? I've been wanting to make our own!
Beautiful video! ❤
Thank you so much 🥰
We celebrate Saint Martin in stead of Halloween. I live in Belgium. I don't know if you know his story in America?
Yes no Halloween at all but love fall decor. I also dont put up a Christmas tree because there is so much pagan ties to it. I just winter decorate but for Christmas i make sure my nativity is the main focus. Even though people have tried to Christianize their tree, well someone recently pointed out the devil doesnt care how you feel about something, your still practicing it.
We've been feeling convicted with a christmas tree also, I do love the winter feel of evergreen/greenery
Yes....just found you.❤
Hey!! ☺️
Do you still attend that church? (Honestly asking.)
So refreashing do you offer Bible study?
❤❤❤❤❤
🥰
I do not watch scary movies … totally convicted inside my Heart and soul
I do not celebrate Halloween whatsoever…. To me it’s totally Demonic .also hate all the fake skeletons…
Halloween seems harmless ,, but OHHHH NO NOT TO ME ….
I LOVE FALL ITS MY FAVORITE SEASON….
I DO LOVE THE PUMPKINS BUT NEVER WILL. CARVE ..
THERE ARE CHURCHES THAT CELEBRATE IT… …
OF course I am nor will never be sinless ….
Being a Born again … Christian…. I for myself only ….can not do any of this
..this is where I feel… convicted
Your sister in Christ…✝️🙏❤️🥰🍁🍂💐
Fall is my favorite season also, it's so beautiful!! Thanks for watching 🥰
Acts 2:38
💖
We've never celebrated Halloween as well. Besides the obvious reasons.. Why would anyone want to celebrate this it.. The world is scary enough.. Why would anyone want to do things purposely to scare kids and encourage going door to door to strangers homes where you don't know what evil lurks and decorate with scary evil things? My children stayed home from school if it was on a school day. I also encountered controversy in the church because I don't agree with the Trunk or Treat events the churches do...its not an outreach... Its basically halloween. Anyone else with me?
I also don’t celebrate Halloween.
💕
Wow!! How wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing this. Praise the Lord 🙌🏽🙌🏽 welcome home sister!!
Our church does a harvest party on October 31! No costumes, no evil. Just pizza, bouncy castles and candy!
💖
@@emilydawson2667 they are still recognizing the holiday.
@@Sherry-v2w Exactly,Jehovah’s Witnesses don’t celebrate any pagan holiday but instead give gifts and do fun things whenever they feel like it!🙌🏻
We don't celebrate Halloween, but I've given up having all the lights off, so no trick a treater doesn't knock on the door. It was ridiculous. So, now I give the candy.
@@judyalvarez203 why don’t you at last give gospel tracts designed to give out at Halloween with candy.
I disagree with all of this so deeply
Thanks for commenting 🤎
Christians need to take back All Saints Day as it originally started
Halloween
@@sofia830 thank you for that reminder ❤️
