It took me similarly long time for the first time playing this game. It took me off guard how it suddenly started to displaying names on screen.
I think it was suppose to make you feel lost and like nothing go right.. that music at end of prologue really hit hard.
Fun fact! You can just jump down from the bridge. That is what I did on my first playthrough xD
