@30:44 I remember my FAVORITE thing about Speedvision was coming home from a late night out in high school and watching all the old rallies and grand prix races on Legends of Motorsport!! I SO miss that show, it’s quite difficult to find episodes…
This was so good to hear how Hoonigan began and the stories of him and ken block and the rest of the team how they all came together and be as successful today
Tried to intern for one of Brian Scotto's magazines back in the day but never got the job. And then he moved to California and founded Hoonigan. Sure wish I did but cool to hear the whole story now.
I remember Chris Harris' contributions to 0-60! 458 vs 997.2 GT3 and I think he did an article about the 599 GTO that also made it into EVO as well. It all come full circle huh? Awesome!
YES, now that you planted the idea of a F+F reaction series, you HAVE to do it! But stick to the first movie, the rest is just not worth it. Loved listening to the two of you, 1:40 hrs went by in an instant! 👌
Not a McLaren F1 level. But in NZ the Caterham is a Fraser 7, a Toyota Twin Cam lotus 7 replica. Years spent accumting parts. Get to the factory and thread myself in. The only way to get my foot off the clutch is to lift my bum off the seat. Left hand on the tunnel, right hand on the sill. Scotto I feel ya.
@10:40 I remember finding myself riding my bicycle past/through a sideshow in West Oakland on my way home from a night class I was taking at Laney Community College around 10:30/11pm just praying nobody decided to make an example out of the “dumbass white boy” that should have known better than ride through West Oakland in the middle of the night. I would have stuck around to watch and enjoy the vibe, but didn’t want to push my luck…this was right around the time E-40 released “Tell Me When To Go.” Interesting time to live in the Bay Area.
I always wanted to get into a f1 car and while at the Mercedes museum in Germany, I saw they had a mock up f1 with the side removed so people could get in and out more easily. Ok here’s my chance, although not as tall as scotto, at 6ft5 I struggled for 15min to get into this thing and just couldn’t fit. the staff joined in laughing their arses off at me which must of looked like someone trying on size 6 jeans knowing full well they were size 16….
Hoonigan has gone down hill since the buy out and IMO Scotto is mostly to blame. I bet he made a fat wedge whereas Hert who built the popularity probably didn't get a penny
Dude, don’t get outraged for people who aren’t even complaining. Hert is a Hoonigan OG, I’m sure he makes good $$$. Plus you listened to this and didn’t think Scotto earned what he has? Running 3 magazines, launching a brand and a drivers career, negotiating filming rights, and between all of that making 2AM diy mechanic videos? What’s there to be mad at?
Now this is something I never thought could have happen. But I love it.
Love both of these guys. Glad they got to meet up again
Great interview, you should show pictures from guests, especially from Ivents they are talking about👌
Huge fan of this. Two of my favourite content creators hashing it out 👌🏻
@1:36:30 Got me worried Chris might be leaving Top Gear. Great listen as always, can't get enough of these chats, thanks!
Oh man the F&F reaction video series sounds like the best idea I've heard this year!

Absolutely fantastic! And I feel like there is more than enough chat left for a part 2!
Team Associated RC-10 - exactly where I started! After my Tamiya Saint Dragon. Thanks for the content!
Awesome to have those two blokes together and trading stories how they ended up where they are.

This really was very good.
Thankyou Chris, nice one 👌✌️
So happy this popped up! I’m gonna have a good commute today!
cool ! Brian is a great guy, actually had him visiting our workshop on the outskirts of Oslo (norway) many years ago while he was at 0-60 magazine:)
Fantastic for making this happen. Awesome

This was brilliant! Thanks Chris and Scotto! More of these podcasts please!
I had a Sand Scorcher RC car back in '83... I was 14-years-old!
A great listen!
I remember seeing Chris wearing Hoonigan shirts back in the Drive days.
The most likeable guy from Hoonigan. Along with Ken.
Great show! 👏🏻
That was fantastic.
Nice to have Hoonigan on.
My only complaint with this is it's just sound and not a video podcast

I've given this a Like just for that first photo 😂
Please do a Fast and Furious reaction video 😁

Double wishbone front and strut rear, a la 4C, sounds like Lancia Monte Carlo (Scorpion) and Stratos to me.
It’s dumb to like a video before you play it, but I knew this wouldn’t let me down, not with these two legends

Well isn't this a mid week surprise . \m/
Chris, RESPECT for wearing Ukrainian colours! Thank you for the support!!
