😊 Great video, I'll bet the tennant was thankful. That blower wheel sure was full of Skank! I noticed in a tool review that DeWalt now makes a 20v battery Power Washer that just screws onto the garden hose and is adjustable to 550psi. The one I saw was DEWALT CPW550P1 It looks like it would be handy for your Van 👍
Pressure-washing can easily bend condenser coil fins; I'd guess that's why he may not have or want a pressure-washer (even a small electric one) in his van.
Used 700 psi battery-powered pressure washer from worx to clean E-coils and condenser coils for two and a half years never messed up a single coil maybe I was just lucky.
@@waltercampbell8620I've never used a battery power washer before, but have electric and gasoline. They certainly wouldn't have the power. I wouldn't try to clean old aluminum fins anyhow with one. The DeWalt review I watched indicated that they have four nozzles of different kinds and the output power is adjustable. Beats trying to clean something with a low pressure well hose!
I love how you install your products. You are very detailed and leave no extra hardware. I watch other AC/ channels and one of them always leave hardware off and takes the easy way out. Nice job. Enjoy your channel. Take care.
Good morning Curtis. Your so calm when things go sideways. I had a customer push her appointment 90 minutes forward after not answering my first call. I then told her shes already 30 minutes late and it will be 3 days before I can get back to her. I bet she's going to be answering in her underwear for sure in these summer temps.
It looks like the motor mounting bracket might have been clocked about 120 degrees. I don't think you could have bent that bracket given the difficulty you had in bending it back into place. Also, would the wiring harness that came with the motor have allowed you to extend that electrical connection you were having a challenge getting reconnected?
@16:03The bracket legs are not symmetrical (not equal angles apart), The bracket mounts a certain way on the fan housing in order to match existing mounting holes. Good Video. Thank You...
OK OK I can’t see you’ve been in that bracket out of out of place not not it looks like a lease about 115° out so it be pretty you’d be a pretty strong man if you were able to do that but I know everywhere you go you do excellent work You get stressed but you always leave in a good way and I think the biggest reason is because you love what you were doing and you override a lot of stuff other technicians wouldn’t even think about putting up with. I’m from Tallahassee Florida. My name is Fred H. Hope you have a blessed day , Mr. AC man
That yellow wire pulled out when you connected the other two with your pliers, i didnt see you plug it back in. Hopefully you caught that before closing everything up?
Just a thought, would antistatic spray/coating help with something like the hair and dust build up? Just a thought, i have a wood stove with a squirl cage blower on it and I have to clean it atleast ones a season due to dust and what i asume is ashe build up from cleaning out the box.
Done plenty of attic installs. Depends if the unit can fit through the access. If it fits, just pull it up. But sometimes you do need to take the blower and coil out, and fold the actual body of the air handler to get it in the attic. Then assemble it once it’s all up.
Old ac man here. Girl answers door in underware.....turn and leave.
No doubt!
Any adolescent at all answering door, and no adult around, LEAVE PRONTO.

I like the videos where you're talking more and explaining your process. Educationally entertaining. Keep up the great work!

I appreciate that!
I one thing I never understand is if your A/C is not working then just turn it off don’t leave on
The smoke alarm hahaha
Ugggh
Well done Curtis, that will stop it from freezing up 👍 Au
Another smoke alarm battery going bad...shocking!! 😊
Good job Curtis always enjoy your videos
Thanks 👍
That e. coil was surprisingly clean.
Great job,Curtis!

ye i will agree i would of put the wires on first lol, an that is bad the way they make that down flow an put all the elc where water can get on it

Also a van tour video
That chunk of ice has everything warped out of shape😅
Nice work Curtis.
Thanks!
Can you do a video on what your camera and tripod set-up look like please.
Ray, you could have plugged in all those wires before shoving the blower housing all the way in, but it's more fun watching you fumble with them.
Lol😂
Will not fit it's too tight
You mean “Curtis”. 👍
@@kens.3729 You'll have to forgive me that one. I'm 3 years older than Biden. I've been binge watching TH-cam today, and I'm confusing names.
Double thumbs up

Yeh, I did
Try a little squirt of WD40 on the blower metal runners when reinserting the repaired blower into the air handler ... less of a struggle! Take care!
Curtis, what filters do you like to see in a HVAC system? Not the pleated ones, like the 1500 FilTreat filters? What would you recommend?
Job well done Curtis 👏
Just think what life was like before electrification. And yet, people built giant cathedrals, bridges, and aqueducts.

Thought I heard you say the RPM on the original motor was 1400, will a 1075 work ok on it?
👍
👍👍👍
Needs a psc conversion.
What are those multigrips you use. Theu look fantastic?
Where is the motor wiring harness
Curious as to how you get an entire air handler in an attic if you had to replace the entire unit? Peace at a time? Just wondering.

@@Jwork0144 thank you for the reply, saw Curtis working on several and not a whole lot of room and they are large.
Another Infestation of Noisy 🦗 Crickets. 🦗 😬👍
I comment too much on the motor. I think its interesting how it figures which way to turn.
I hope that was cat hair or dog hair...
No inclination to check the charge; the stopped fan alone would let it freeze up that badly?
👍👍👍😎☕
Evaporator might be clogged
This might not be the brightest idea. Since this is straight electric, would you be able to defrost the coil by running the heat strips?
Not without heating the whole house
Unfortunately not, it goes return air -> A/C coil -> blower -> heat strips -> supply air.
Thats what I thiught. I live in California but grew up in Michigan. The only form of electric heat that I experience was baseboard heat.
Thats rught. What I meant by not bright idea was water dripping on the coils and possibly causing a short.
Id be afraid motor getting wet
