And Liz can hit that high note live. The girl got skills and techniques down dude. There's this one show that it shows their dorm life and there's this scene that they were watching GOTthebeat Step Back and Liz freaking reached Taeyeon's high note like heck. If y'all didn't know Taeyeon is like one of the goddess of vocals in kpop.
They don't really have official positions besides Gaeul and Rei being the rap line, but Liz and Yujin definitely have that main vocalist vibe going on. I love Rei's rap tone, on their channel she did a cover of Jennie's "SOLO", including the rap (many people who cover it skip the rap); Liz also did a cover of IU's Friday. Rei has been writing raps since before their debut, in Korean, English and Japanese (she's Japanese). They showed a bit of Rei and Gaeul's rap lessons in their series about their predebut (1,2,3 IVE EP.7 ~10:50-14:10), and the teacher was really impressed by her (they show off the good stuff of course, but still). I don't believe the showcase stage was sung live, or at least not fully. That's usually the case with those first showcase performances (it's basically a press conference and I guess they don't want to take risks? btw that's also the reason for the reception they get at the end: it's just press), but they might sing it live if they perform it in the future, I hope they will. I also don't have a problem with it when they don't, but it _would_ be really impressive to see them do all that live. Royal really flexes all their vocals and rapping tbh.

Liz has the talent and the vocal tonality to be a fantastic main vocalist. At the moment, Yuyjin stands out more because of the experience and training she had, but specially the confidence she has (you can sense it to with wongyoung too). However, Liz has THAT natural singing that many wish they had. Her mixing and her head voice are so well connected for such a young girl. Once she gets confident and has more training, she will be an amazing singer.
