the fact that all six of them stand out yet the whole group sounds and looks perfectly cohesive is crazy. IVE is on another level.
In traditional Korean fiction, the phrase "when the tiger smoked" refers to a time in the distant past. The first time Rei and Yujin smoke, it's implied that Ive is a tiger that lived a long time ago.
There is also a traditional Korean fairy tale called "Siblings Who Became the Sun and Moon". In this story, a tiger lures a brother and sister by pretending to be their mother and tries to eat them, but when the brother realizes this, he grabs a rope from the sky and climbs up to become the sun and moon. The siblings realize the tiger's identity by letting him reach through the window. The sharp hand that breaks the glass at the beginning of the music video represents this.
However, the difference between the traditional fairy tale and Ive's music video is that unlike the fairy tale, Ive succeeds in tricking his brother and sister into eating him.
