  • It's the 2019 North Lake Tahoe Spartan World Championship Powered by Rakuten!
For the fifth year in a row, North Lake Tahoe hosts the best Spartan and OCR athletes from around the world for the 7th annual Spartan World Championships.
Can 2019 US National Series, three-time North American and two-time reigning Spartan World Champ Lindsay Webster become the first athlete in Spartan history to record a World Champs three-peat? Or will Nicole Mericle stop the history in the making.
Tune in to see if Ryan Atkins can remain the dominant athlete in the male field - or if reigning World Champion Jon Albon, or 2015 World Champion Robert Killian snag the top podium spots.
Who will rise? Who will fall? Legends are born here.
The 2019 Road to Tahoe begins at 14 global National and Regional Series events and 5 major championships. There are two ways to qualify for the Spartan World Championship:
    1. At the end of each National/Regional Series event, the final leaderboard determines who gains entry into the World Championship. The more points an athlete earns throughout the series, the higher their chances of earning a spot become. Each series is allocated a certain number of spots.
    2. Participants must finish in the top 10 at any regular season event or National/Regional Series race in the Elite or Age Group categories to qualify for the continent-wide Championship. Rank high enough at a Championship, and earn a qualifying spots for the Spartan World Championship.
To qualify for one of the 5 gated Championships, you must be a top 10 Elite or Age Group finisher (male or female) at any regular season race (as well as all National / Regional Series events). A rolldown mechanism for elite category athletes exists globally.

The commentators are talking out there ass sometimes. 56:19 "Each one of these sandbags weighs 160lbs." I know these athletes are insane, but that's 320lbs more than twice the weight of most of these athletes and the throw them over their shoulders like they are closer to 50 lbs. I think some numbers are getting mixed up here. Do the commentators win a prize for the most words said during the race?

Incredible race, as are the athletes who compete. For those of you spartan course people, I got some advice that will greatly benefit you and improve your endurance big time(if your not already doing all of what I am going to type) First off, eating. For eating, the more high fat meat, and other animals fats you can get each day, the better...animal fats including some dairy(especially butter). Apart from the animal fats....cooked vegetables(never raw), fruit, and some seeds/nuts(especially pistachios). AVOID sugar based foods(outside of fruit) and all grains(especially wheat based foods). 2 veggies to avoid(celery and corn). Apart from eating, cold water therapy, either ice baths, or the coldest water temp showers, or jump into cold lakes or small pools outdoors, then quickly warm up any way possible. With cold water therapy, sharp consistent breathing is very important. Next, earth grounding(a major key for long term endurance). This is very simple, find a clean patch of ground to lay on, with the thinnest clothing possible(if its warm, just wear shorts). Lay on the ground rotating all sides of the body, as long as possible. The best overall method with earth grounding, stand and or sit in a clean lake water source, preferably near or in a mountain area, or a clean tropical, desert environment etc. The earth ground energy is very healing for the body long term, as is the water itself. 3 friends and I have been doing all of this consistently, the past 5-6 years. Our endurance is off the charts. We have run ULTRA race courses, for fun. The Moab 240 in Utah, the Western States 100 in CA, the Hard Rock 100 in CO(a heck of a course with the high elevation summit climbs). We ran these race courses no problem. With running these courses, we easily beat the actual race cut off times, and of course had 4 or more support teams, to meet us at different points along the course, to help us with food, water refills etc. In conjunction with all of that, we also use an all natural "performance enhancing supplement", from Nepal, that we discovered through our Sherpa Tour guides when climbing mt Everest. This supplement, even if your not in good cardio shape, but in decent to better physical health/condition, it makes it very do able to run one of these 100 mi race courses. Also the suppliment, allows us to stay warm or cool, in hot or cold weather, even with temperatures similiar to what we see in this race. Anyway, just wanted to share that with all of you. Peace, healing, and higher good to everyone.

@@amblincork I now see I was incorrect in terms of avoid grains and other sweets....I wrote that post a while back when I was experimenting with different ways of eating. Also I need to know why you believe the rest of what I mentioned above, outside of the eating, is nonsense. The earth grounding has boosted my long term health beyond belief....the top method..... being in clean outdoor water sources or outdoor hot spring pools etc while having our feet on the ground off ....in the process of that....I sometimes get into the cold water sources as well and use the wim hoff method...which in itself...is another giant long term health boost. Apart from that....onand certain all natural suppliments...as well as eating the best natural food sources we can find that hits right on point with our body type. By the way, with doing all of this....3 friends and myself.....2 guys and 2 ladies in our case....smashed courtney dauwaulters time on the moab 240 race course by exactly 36 min 23 seconds......in our case, we had family and friends every 30 mi-35 mi for water, food, etc...and we power napped just over an hour for the entire run. In the process...we had a local guide on a small motor bike guide us through that run, and we are all natural run athletes to begin with. The right all natural suppliments, can boost your endurance and oxygen levels within the body, far better then the mainstream market shit that only does the body long term damage....unless one is aware of the natural health methods for eating, outdoor time and earth grounding etc...to reverse those. What part of this do you not understand? Look up earth grounding and how it has benefited people over time. I once cured myself of plague symptoms by doing into these water sources daily, and eating the best possible foods I could.....being exposed to some chemical toxins that apparently leached into an outdoor spring pool....that was a once out of 1000's of scenarios in this life experience. Also, 3 friends and myself, have made an easy living on sports wagering since wagering the NE Patriots their final 4 games of the late 2001 and early 2002 season when they went on to beat the LA Rams in the superbowl. After 911 occured who do you think was going to win the superbowl? The "unstoppable STL Rams?". The NFL is a fix...and it is now more fixed then ever before. Our all time wagering % with the NFL...72.9%.....but when we throw in the NBA and small amounts of MLB...the only other 2 sports we have worked with...our all time wagering % is 66.8%. So I have to ask, whats your belief on the benefit or harm of the covid vaccines? And your ACTUAL thoughts on covid itself? Tell me more about your belief system and perspectives on this temporary "phase" we are currently in.
