Hey Miss Moose....You were born to dig! What caught my eye were the 8mm films in Kodak boxes, and also the movie cans. I was very happy you picked some of them up. Would love to see them! Who know, there might be a "lost" young Buzz movie in there!🤣
All of the blue cans that I picked up were empty! Good thing I checked before I bought them. Buzz’s films travel to the East coast, coming to a theater near you! 🎥
Great estate sale ! A lifetime of treasures to be enjoyed by another fellow treasure hunter . I love to go through everything 'cause I'm always afraid I'll miss something that will speak to my soul . It can be many things ,you don't always know till it appears . It usually connects you to a family member or friend that you miss .keep doing this cause it makes you happy ! Thanks ! Xox 💚
Wow, Indian summer in the NJ/ PA area, love it ! And a huge assortment of gardening literature as well, that would have been something for me to look at. Hope that your tomato plants and the fern are still alive. 😉 And some awesome finds, a little bit of everything. 👌 By the way, Renée: another little package from Hannover to Bloomsbury will be on it´s way next week. The topic will be this time: childhood during wartime. Reformation Day tomorrow over here in Lower Saxony which is a holiday, so we can sleep a little bit longer. Keep it up, and have a very good time ! 🖐Greets from GER, U.
My fern is still looking good & doing well! Tomato plant, that poor guy lasted until mid-September and that was it. With the warm temperatures we are currently having, I can still keep the fern outside. I'll have to find the perfect spot for it once it is time to bring it in! I'll be on the lookout for the package! Enjoy sleeping in a bit longer :0) We switch our clocks back here over the weekend, so we technically get an extra hour of sleep, just means that soon enough it will be dark at 5pm - eek!
Gardening books! I once found 4 large leather folios, I guess, from Finland in the 1920s - 1950s (one per decade, I think) with pressed plants taped to the pages and descriptions about each. Someone snagged two - and they were expensive - but I was able to get two and gift them to a gardener friends of Finnish descent. Not sure my friend was as excited about them as I was. I figured if there were some seeds, it might be possible to grow some new ones over here. Oh well, win some, lose some. 8:33 - was that a rhinestone shoebuckle? I wonder when those things when out of style? I used to get them occasionally in antique or vintage jewelry sets I for my wife or daughters. They didn't wear them. So somewhere between the Pilgrims and my wife they went out of style. Some of those recipes snd really good. I would have liked to have been at that sale! Glad you had fun and found some good stuff. I bet the junk journalers will be jealous. Have a great Wednesday - looks like the two Storage Unit videos did great so congratulations! And Happy Halloween!
"Somewhere between the Pilgrims and my wife they went out of style" - Haha! :0) I think many crafters use the buckles in their sewing and journals, add a bit of sparkle! I don't recall any of my shoes having buckles, but I did wear saddle shoes, penny loafers, and also what they called "jelly" shoes. Always wanted the Moon Shoes from Nickelodeon, but they were expensive back then... I think they are actually cheaper now on eBay! Granted, if I tried them out now, I'd probably twist my ankle or break something! The storage unit videos did well, so now I'm trying to work in my schedule a day of nothing but research :0) Hope that you have had a good Wednesday & have a piece of candy or two for Halloween!
Hello Renee, I love to see your video's and I was happy to see you found something that was made in Belgium. It surprised me that it was with beads and not a lace one because we in Belgium are famous for our lace. But it was very beautiful. I also love all things paper, and to my husband's regrets, can't throw away anything, especially the old memories. Thank you ❤
An interesting mixture of stuff. I would have liked to look through all the drawers myself. Made me wonder, what will be left from my belongings, when I pass away. 🤔 I started to go through my things to give away what I don't need/want anymore. Not an easy task. 😄 You found some interesting things! Cheers Gabriele - Berlin
That's a great Estate sale haul Rene.🎉😮 I'm glad you found lots of good things you enjoy.🤯🤔😍 I love the vintage Howdy Doody doll and the Pancho Villa marionettes they were really cool pieces.🙌😁 Keep up the great job. Take care.👍🔥❤️💪👌
I just love your channel.. And because of you i am making a memory box up for my son and family of all the ephemera and photo's memoir's etc so hopefully he'll remember my times gone by ❤
Oh I love the fancy bag made I Belgium. Belgian is my family heritage on Dads side and I got to visit great grandfathers village in 2001. My distant cousins took me to see a lace makers crafting bobbin lace so beautiful and intricate. Well Renee, once again you have found a treasure that has brought back a wonderful memory for me! No wonder I don't miss a single one of your videos.
@@PaperandMoose as soon as you pulled it out I thought that looks like Whiting & Davis. Comps are kind of all over the place, but that's one you might consider listing online as they can be worth good money.
How long do seeds stay good? I always wondered. Both you and Taco Stacks are tactile shoppers! You both lightly touch your hand over an item before you move on. It seems kind of graceful as if you learn the item and its value by touch. You two are magic!
Renee !!! Thanks for taking us along!!! I really enjoy everything your share here !!!! I appreciate you!!! Stay safe stay great and keep up the good work!!!!
I'm so glad you had a great time at this estate sale😗💯 so did I. I wish I could have one drawer, just one to go through. In our older age, we have given most of our old items to whichever of them showed interest in something. Sometimes it is sad.
What a great sale! Exactly what I like, but can't buy because I already have too much. Love to watch you looking at it all. Your videos satisfy my craving for going to estate sales.

I believe that the Halloween items were out in the garage. By the time I made my way out there, most of it had been purchased. It was a lot of outdoor decor and larger items, so I'm sure a few people were happy to add to their outdoor decorations! The recipes were a good find. I picked out a few to try! Hope that you have had a wonderful week!
Old handwritten recipes? Score! I'm always sad to find those but always grab them quickly. I'm envious of a good digger sale like that. They've mostly gone on-line here with all of the good stuff trashed before buyers ever see the sale.
I used to watch your videos years ago when I was just a vintage enthusiast. I've rediscovered your videos again (and re-subscribed) now that I'm a junk journal creator. Thanks for making such entertaining videos! I am now following your Etsy shop. :)
You can tell it was a popular sale by how many times you had to say "excuse me" or "I m going to sneak behind you". I am sure that it is much easier for the estate sale company or family to just open the doors and let the buyers rummage through and pick out what they want. But the tricky part comes at the check-out counter. How in the world do they come up with a price when you plop down your bags filled with numerous random items, none of which are priced? Do they look at every item in the bag or do they just glance in and make up a price? I love those kind of sales too but they are rare in my area.
For the items that I bought, I emptied my bag out and then one of the sale employees gives me a price. I find when a sale is like this, with so much stuff, the prices usually are very reasonable because the company wants to clear out as much as possible for the family. Upstairs in the living room & dining room, there were priced items as well as out in the garage (didn't film there because they had music playing).
I've become better in dealing with my anxiety at estate sales. I try not to put a lot of pressure in finding the "best" things or being the first there, but instead just enjoy the opportunity to look in a home and see what has been saved throughout the years.
Really great sale. I saw so much stuff watching you go through things. I really loved the crystal candle holders on the other side of what you were going through. A great and overwhelming estate sale, the kind where you could grab bundles from every room, but as you said, it's ok to leave items behind that will find their way to another excited digger. I would have camped in the audio room, the Pioneer sign was very cool, couldn't tell if it was vintage or repro. The owners must have owned a large dog/dogs, they used the Milk Bone Dog Biscuits boxes (large treat size) to store catalogs and other sundry items, a nice touch I think !
As an ephemera addict myself I don’t think there is any perfect way to organize, I think since you want to sell choosing a theme might do well. With new hip one installed 3 weeks ago I can craft again, but not for long, new hip two scheduled for the end of December, I can’t wait to lose myself in paper once more.
I'm 75 now and I used to go to estate sales every weekend. I don't go any longer as I've accumulated tooo much stuff. Today I discovered 21 boxs of stuff I had put in a friends storage locker. So I get my thrills safely by watching you go to estate sales and flea markets. Enjoy yourself now and I will enjoy watching you. Keep up your entertaining videos. I think that coming home and looking thru all that you found is as much fun as discovering the items in the first place. Like they saw "one mans trash is another man's treasure ".
Seed Packets…..Buried Treasure….old sewing bits and bobs…..”be still my heart”….Renee….Your Sweet Nature of thinking of those who come after picking makes me think of what I wrote TS many years ago…… “ You both had some great modeling by parents…..extended family and friends….teachers….Spiritual leaders….your willingness to share so positively”
I was hoping that the boxes marked "Old Seeds" would have held packets from the 1940s and earlier, I would have bought every box! The person must have had a beautiful garden, I'm sure!
I'm not that great with baking, so things don't turn out that well. On the typed cards I bought at this sale, many of the baking instructions are "Bake in hot oven until done" :0) No temperature, no time! They must have made the recipe so many times that part was memorized!

I think that coming home and looking thru all that you found is as much fun as discovering the items in the first place. Like they saw "one mans trash is another man's treasure ".
your freind paid for the storage locker?
I would have gone nuts and spent a fortune at that sale! 🙂
Love your outlook on life.
Thanks for sharing ♥️
The postcards were a good deal, I would love to know how much you paid for them,
This is so fun, but I’m curious about how you came up with the name paper and moose?
Seed Packets…..Buried Treasure….old sewing bits and bobs…..”be still my heart”….Renee….Your Sweet Nature of thinking of those who come after picking makes me think of what I wrote TS many years ago…… “ You both had some great modeling by parents…..extended family and friends….teachers….Spiritual leaders….your willingness to share so positively”
I was hoping that the boxes marked "Old Seeds" would have held packets from the 1940s and earlier, I would have bought every box! The person must have had a beautiful garden, I'm sure!
Hi Renee, we can't buy everything, even if we want to! God bless 💖✝
Very true!
Hi Renee, I’m curious, have you ever made any of the recipes that you find? 💜
I'm not that great with baking, so things don't turn out that well. On the typed cards I bought at this sale, many of the baking instructions are "Bake in hot oven until done" :0) No temperature, no time! They must have made the recipe so many times that part was memorized!
You going through the junk paper, with crystal candlesticks in the same shot 😮
Great sale for you to score! …I must say…this house made me feel so much better about my house! 😂 I guess mine isn’t so cluttered as I thought!
How do you keep your nails looking so good? All that digging around in drawers and boxes and your nails still look pristine! ❤
now THAT was an excellent ephemera sale! I would have gotten in so much trouble there lol.
What do they do with the leftover items? Perhaps they will need a house cleanout.....
Great finds, I love estate sales. The last one I got five polar fleece wraps, never worn all for five dollars. I know what there orginal are worth. I keep hoping they will have another so I can dig more.
Hi That Pioneer sign was old. I would have grabbed hold of that. you can tell other dealers shut that door so no one could see in that room. good pickings. cheers Owen.
