      But do you really need a nord electro for that? I mean a casio would be just as effective.

    Saw Andrew Savage play in Dallas to kick off his solo album Winter in the South. Nice guy, great music, and a good sport talking to me after the show with a few drinks in my belly. Look forward to the new solo album and to hearing what the Parquet Courts put out next.

      +Al White First time I saw them was in Dublin in 2013. Andrew broke a guitar string during "Donuts Only". Instead of stopping, Austin and Sean just did an unbelievable 9 minute mashup of Yr No Stoner and Dear Ramona while Andrew fixed his guitar. Then when Andrew joined them when he had it fixed. Amazing band

    Great, elegant, fierce, artful band. Been a fan since late 2014. Berlin Got Blurry is just incredible, so nuanced and badass. That's rad that they recorded at Wilco's, The Loft, in Chicago. Play in Halifax, Nova Scotia if you can, guys.

    • @Captnamrca07
      @Captnamrca07 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      fats there have been a lot of bands to either form or come to prominence in 6 years lol. 6 years is a substantial amount of time

    • @eubie6506
      @eubie6506 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bryan Carter nah its really not. there are definitely newer bands but parquet courts is very much so still a new band considering they didnt have any traction whatsoever until 4 yrs ago

    • @Captnamrca07
      @Captnamrca07 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      fats they are newer than a lot of bands but it's not as if this is their first album or first tour or something. They're veterans at this point.

    This is why Parquet Courts are great they don't use the flashiest gear and they aren't into this synth pop bullshit they are a raw DIY band with great ideoligies and views and write real songs

    • @tdawson198
      @tdawson198 7 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      are you dissing synth pop? As if lad, back to the fucking stone age with you or you'll apologise to Bernard Sunmers in fucking person. Joe Meek and the Kraftwerk guys too, you fucking pleb.

      +Mrsteisag2 The Pixies did all these songs and this performance 25 years ago? Damn PC is ripping them off!
      Oh wait no these are all new songs that take influence from many great bands like the pixies. Why do you comment negative shit? Do you think you sound cool and cultured because you know a 90s band?
