Currently building this same kit. At first I was not impressed by the molded on details but your painting skills really bring out these details. Thank you for inspiring to finish my model (sweet paint job by the way).
Very nice video. Good, clear visuals. Neat touch with the pastels. I'm doing 8 x Merkava 2 in 15 mm for my Flames of War Oil War army in Team Yankee. I will be simplifying those paint techniques but it was still very useful to see. Interesting how the models paint is much less green than the image on the box.
I search and have this. XF-57 (8drops) XF-24 (2drops) and XF-27 (2 drops). If you made lighter colors than only 1 drop for XF24 and 27 or Vallejo made all 4 types of Sinai colors! This latest version since 1987 is Tan Green 71.023 1961-73 is Sand grey 70.614, 1973-1982 is 71.141 and finally 1982-1987 is 71.142 This IDF set have number 71210. AK made AK561 set of IDF colors. Lifecolor made set LFCCS32
I use very thin layers to start, and use a hair dryer to dry it. Then once a couple of thin layers are down, I lay thicker ones, thick enough so it's visually "wet" and shiny, a couple of those, and you should have a good coating. I hope this helps! Watching model car glossing tutorials also helps.
So no chain armor under the basket or anti-skid texture on the top of the tank. Hobby Boss can delight and at the same time disappoint. Fabulous job on the built, though. Really nice braille scale technique.
Merkava 1 did not have the chain armour under the turret bustle. That was the Merkava 2. Also the Merkava 1 had the side skirts shown here and the Merkava 2 has the BBD side skirts.
We’ll done!! The love you into that model is incredible, the painting, and weathering, excellent job!!

GREAT!!! Thanks for this video.
Отличная работа. То же рассматриваю к покупке данную модель. По модели маленькое замечание - 5 антенн только на параде. В жизни обычно 2 антенны.
It is I, the merkava mk IV M Barak, and I aprovve this video :)

Well done!! Especially in such small scale...like the paint job! Any possibility of sharing your ratios re paint to make IDF colour?
Perfect!
Looks awesome! btw how many parts of each Tamiya paint did you use to give it a Sinai grey color??

I would have really liked a P.E set for the chain armour if I could build it again!
