4 corners region is a historical/archaeological playground! We definitely recommend checking out the San Juan River watershed/all of the canyons south of there. It's beautiful country
We went in mid-February and had the whole place to ourselves (besides the occasional guide in a drift boat every few hours). I definitely recommend it! I hear the Juan turns into a zoo with warmer weather
