Throwing the ejection seat and figure in the air then seeing the plastic parachute deploy was one of the funnest things with this set. Then seeing my hands turn blue from the ink when bunching up the parachute lol

We had this and the Night Raven back in '86 or '87. The Skystriker was missing the canopy out of the box and I'm still mad about that.
Mine was too. Glad I backed this.
I'm hoping we'll get a Night Raven project to back as well as a Sky Raven. Wishful thinking would be for Rolling Thunder Redux, Tomahawk and Defiant/Crusader. I could careless if they ever made the Flagg again, but the others I need/want.
I'm loving the skystriker! We really need more o-ring figures though. This is such a perfect time to be showing off new o-ring releases to capitalize on the skytriker excitement! feed me more!

Looks like they "lucked out" and got a Skystriker that had all the figures and correct parts in it.
I lucked out too; even the shipping box was pristine. Everything inside was perfect as well. If you have an issue contact haslab; they're trying to rectify their mistakes...
the wings fowards is for slow subsonic speeds and the sweept wing configeration is for the supersonic speed (above Mach 1)
Cool box and card art. Good to see plastic windows for the GI Joe figures too for carded figure collectors.

Was the Quality Control guy in charge of this Haslab running around pretending to be Iron Man , should’ve focused more on QC instead of missing pieces 😂 I didn’t back it , whew 😰 “ Where’s my Haslab HISS ???!!! “ which I backed 😂

he black pices is called Vertical Stabilizers that has the Rudder (make the plane Yaws on the The vertical axis (yaw)) and the small white wings on back side are called Horizontal Stabilizers that are also called Elvators (make the plane pitch up and down on the The lateral axis (pitch))

My local comic shop is selling the Jet for 250.00. They are bundling all those figs + the jet for 450.00. Take all the time you need with that.

Those "tailfins" on the sides are called Horizontal Stabilizers. The main purpose is to control the pitch of the aircraft. If you want to be more specific they call those types "Tailerons" because they also control the roll of the aircraft. The vertical fins are called Vertical Stabilizers and they are responsible for controlling the yaw of the aircraft or the side to side motion of it.
You guys did a great job on this skystriker! I love mine! Going to never open it though!
I was able to snag one a few weeks ago when they opened the vault. So glad they did that, because I missed out on the Haslab.

They should add an F-18 or other high tech jets to GI Joe since this F-14 was famous back in the day. Also they should sell and release smaller Skystrikers.
I received mine Tuesday last week (perks of living 47 miles from the distribution center). I was debating on whether or not to have an unboxing video (even had the studio set up) but I'm torn with opening the package LOL! I already know I don't want to open any of the figures! What to do, what to do?!?!??!

G.I. Joe is just the best ip of Hasbro hands down. Both Vintage and Classified have given us a lot of great figures.

Lenny the names of the Aircraft parts are not tail fins. First you have the "Wings", then the back ones are called "Horizontal Stabilizers", and the black dorsal fins...lol, are "Vertical Stabilizers" and finally the cockpit cover is the "Canopy". Great unboxing, got mine last night and man oh man those smaller stickers were rough when adding them to the fuel cart but very easy on the Skystriker. I was very happy to hear the name drops for Joe Troopers and Agent Helix (a new personal favorite from the comics). The name drops I am looking forward to are BLOWTORCH (extra unmasked head), AIRBORNE, ORIGINAL SCARLETT or any more of the Original 13 Joes, and possibly a STORM SHADOW (Version 2). Can't wait for the live stream for more reveals and name drops. Yo Joe!
Well if you really want to pick... they aren’t horizontal stabs on a tomcat , they are elevons
@@williamwallace9427 Actually they are Horizontal Stabilizers. When parked, the wings can be "overswept" to 75° to overlap the horizontal stabilizers to save deck space aboard carriers.

Looking at my Skystiker I have seen one thing that could be added a handle to peg into the bottom. This would be good for action photos of the Skystriker flying. Cause I find any plane or helicopter from G.I. Joe range with a handle makes it easier for photographer.
I got my Skystriker for Christmas and when I opened it I had a hard time figuring out how to have Ace and Fail Safe in the cockpit at the same time. I watched this video and you told me if the figure doesn't fit well on the seat peg give it a firm press. I did just that, but then the figure wouldn't come off the seat and while trying to separate them the peg broke off effectively ruining my Skystriker Seat and LT Fail Safe 😢💔😭
Be careful removing the small front part of canopy. The tiny tabs on each side are prone to stress.

Hasbro, any talk of more this kind of o-ring? More vehicles? It has always amazed me that you haven't milked this cash cow very much. Now is the time. If you wait longer, we will be much older and our little kids will be all grown up. Please make more! After all, we backed this project. For a start, how about the GI Joe ground crew (last failed unlocked tier). You already did a lot of the work... Seems like it would be a nice next set to sell. Thanks for considering my thoughts.
HASBRO and HASLAB did a lousy job of advertising this. If Id known Id of ordered it and you'd have your ground crew.

Will Pulse have Beyblade Exclusives or Will Hasbro cut the TT partnership. Beyblade is in it's 8th season for Burst.. Next year will be the 4th Beybade series.. For the new Beys.. how about keep the gimmicks, no more cutting corners like less product mold. If Hasbro continues with Beyblade Burst Pro Series.. Can i give the idea of exclusives that was hard to get even for Japan. or the missing Beys that was never released due to Covid or anything else that happened.
For a history lesson, TakaraTomy has a partnership with Hasbro America. TT designs, while Hasbro ruins it. While Hasbro does not do this for Transformers ( been a TT partner for 35 years, TT owns the IP. ) Hasbro does this to Beyblade ( also a TT partner, TT owns the IP since 05 ) For Hasbro, They never ruined Metal Fight beyblades ( Gen 1 ), or Plastic Gen ( Gen 2 ). but G3 Beyblades ( Beyblade Burst ), Yes.. Production has been bad. Art Department got fired in season 3, so no paint or detail in the beys. Weight of the beys is way down compare to the counterparts ( TT makes beautiful, fully weighted beys, while Hasbro lol cuts corners with the mold, cuts corners with the weight disc.) the mechanics with the drivers are wtf. We are now in Season 8 ( Hasbro only since we are always a year out of Japan ) All we ask and want is Tournament worthy Beys since TakaraTomy beys are so costly to even get here in the western market. Pro series is almost = to TakaraTomy but they still cut some corners. Yes, there are Beyblade Tournaments here in the states and around the world.
I wanted it so bad but missed out. This is something that could of been released to retail, but with out all the extra stuff that no one is going to use. And would of sold way more. That's what they did in the 80's. Why can't they do that now? So many people missed out. Hasbro messed up again, screwing over the fans.
IKR. They just re-released Serpentor and his flying chariot on Wednesday. By the time I saw the email today, Friday, they were sold out again.

40 years ago these were meant to be played with. I’m not taking my $229 Skystriker outside into the dirt and I’m not letting children either. I get what they’re saying but I cringe every time my kids try to play with my figures.
