I get the traditionalist, but the way the backpack goes on is brilliant. I've got 4/5 of the Riobot figures, and they're great, but the plastic is thin and one of mine broke. I have to use blue tack to hold the backpack on now. This is a fantastic update to a great concept, all for the price of a 1/12 version. I can't say no to it.

Best Robotech/Mospeada toys hands down ! I have Riobot and the original Mospeada. Nothing beats this ! Die cast , articulation etc ! People complain about parts forming..ummmm FYI its an armor not a transformer do-fist ! Awesome channel !
First, excellent video quality Second...very good new conceptualization of the Cyclone, excellent quality of details and apparently also of construction. Third...unfortunately I am a purist and I cannot accept the way it is transformed. Regards
Agreed. The Riobot version is the best and only 'perfect' transformation (that I know of) that uses no removable 'parts-forming'. Its kind of disappointing that this larger, super detailed version uses worse engineering on the transformation.

Downright sick Titanium! I was just watching a little of the original Robotech (hence this recommendation, haha), and man, what an insane looking Transformers-esque motorcycle! OMG!!! I have got to get one of these. I rememebre having one that Child World sold back in late 80's. Could not tell you who made that one, but nowhere close the quality tthis one has. Great vid man, bring back old child hood memories when cartoosn were legit, ROBOTECH was one watched daily for me and my bro.

I feel the same. If the Cyclone were bigger, it might mess up the proportions, so I think they chose a reasonable size. I agree, though-it's a shame the legs can't expand.
Having personally seen the original Robotech series on TV, this is beautiful. Just watching the complete transformation on the original series is masterful, this is an adult toy. This is not meant for children.
The led lights go crazy! They are actually done quite well making the toy appear of a higher quality rather than everything else out there before this that Came out prior to be cheezy electronics that usually wasnt worrh the effort. Especially when leds shine through parts that werent intended to allow light to pass through but do. You know, the lantern affect.
The LED lights are really impressive, but the activation method using the rifle has slightly weak magnets. That’s a bit disappointing. I hope the magnets in the final product will be stronger.

Whats with these companies using opaque pearly blue paints on the helmets? Shouldn't they actually be using tranlucent blue plastic instead? Anyone else agree?
Maybe it’s because it’s more 'anime-accurate'? In most anime, helmets or visors are tinted blue, red, or black. It’s a stylistic choice, but it’s probably also to reduce animation costs. I prefer the blue tint because the head sculpt underneath looks dull and derpy. I don’t care much about it resembling the anime, especially since the entire figure is a more detailed and realistic interpretation of the armor design from the show. They added elements like pistons, intricate panel lining, and highly detailed armor decals. I would have preferred a realistic-looking head sculpt, like the one MOSHOW made for their previous figure from the Chinese anime Spirit Cage: Incarnation. I think a more realistic head sculpt would blend better with this style of suit armor
The strong point is the bike and the figure. The backpack looks a little big when transformed, or maybe it's the angle? Still, it's definitely on my want list.
Indeed, the bike does feel a bit larger compared to the original animation. However, it doesn't ruin the overall proportions, and it still looks pretty cool. I think you made a great choice!
No thanks. Looks well made but I’m only interested in anime accurate sculpt and colours. I don’t know why they felt the need to add all these weird extra details and things like the exposed pistons on the shins. This is not what is in the TV show.
There have been many products based on the original design so far. However, Moshow has always made changes rather than sticking to the original sculpt, and I believe they will continue to take this approach in the future. Personally, I think having designs like this occasionally isn’t bad in terms of diversity. Of course, there will be people who like this style and others who don’t, so I believe respecting everyone’s preferences comes first. That said, I also respect your taste.

I got my first Mospeada back in the 80's from Japan. I loved that cyclone so much. This new one is amazing! I can't believe how good this one poses.
It’s a product specialized for posing, so it poses really well. This is also a product that holds a lot of memories for me.

I prefer the real transformation model from Riobot. Riobot could learn a thing or 2 from this one. But overall, Riobot gets my number 1 spot for now.
