I love the dialogue, new characters with their separate personalities 😂 Wrench is my favorite by far in WD2, the punssss, and the amount of humor they have going on!
The only character worth following is the dude with the mask, forgot his name. but the others, especially the black duo, to much "hood talk" and it gives a trashy feel. the girl just seems like a cringey punk girl trying to make a name for herself, Pearce had a better personality
RIP Horatio Normally I played the whole game using non-lethal weapons, but when Horatio died I got strapped with Lethal weapons and explosives and said "Time to clean the fucking streets"
People really didn’t like ratio, but I really did. I think It’s cause I played a bit more online content before he died, so I was able to “learn” more about him, and he existed more in my playthrough, but I understand why people don’t like him as a character. He’s not really there. His lines could’ve been given to other characters, his death felt forced to bring drama, and take on one of the hostile factions in the game. Maybe if he had more side quest content, or existed more prominently within the story early on before he died, more people would’ve cared about him. The average playthrough introduced you to ratio, has you talk to him all of 2 times, and gives you one mission with him before killing him off.
I love this game, but I can't help but laugh every time Marc gives an inspirational speech about going to war and everyone just cheers and scampers off on their laptops. "Yo guys, we gonna ride on these bitches!" _"Fuck yeah man! We'll show em!"_ *Cue everyone typing away like nerds.*
MY THOUGHTS ON THE GAME: This game was a pleasant surprise while the the first was a bit of a disappointment. I think, unquestionably, expectations were lower for this game, and that might factor into how you perceive this game. The mood is MUCH lighter; Marcus is a much better protagonist than Aidan. You have a lot more tools now in the hacking department, and it allows you to approach the missions in a variety of ways. I played this game mostly through stealth, and seldom used any real guns. I felt that it added to the character, since DedSec is a hacktivist group, not a terrorist group. As someone who has lived in the Bay Area before, I was really impressed in how Ubisoft captured the style and feel of the San Francisco and the other Bay Area locales. Only problem is that the city sometimes feels dead. There is not nearly enough traffic or pedestrians. Think more Mafia 3 instead of GTA V when it comes to this aspect. The gameplay hasn't improved too much from the first, although the driving is noticeably better. Framerate is smooth, although I've heard there is performance issues on the multiplayer side of things. I've only done the campaign, and it felt steady. No big glitches, however there was one time when an objective wouldn't activate to a mission, and I had to restart the mission in order to get it work. No big deal, but worth noting. All in all, it's a fun open world game that is worth playing. It's not the best in the genre, but it doesn't have to be. The story is fun and is EXTREMELY relevant to the political climate of the times. It's really crazy how many of the issues here relate to things we've been discussing about our presidential election in America. I can't remember any other game being that pertinent to the current times.
Definitely sounds like a worthy rental before one decides to buy it... Which isn't a bad thing just means you're at less risk of disappointment for spending cash on a game you know little about...
I do agree but... DAMN can they cut back on the cyber d#@k sucking? There is not one reference or meme that was in this thing, and in turn it felt so forced at times despite the story. I mean sure the main guy is lighter and more fun but I think the masked one is soooo much more interesting and he should have been the protag... That could be my hate on the 'hipster' look talking through.
Sorry for the late response, didn't see it until now. Vehicle physics are decent, better than the first, but still not as good as GTA V imo. The cyber babble is definitely just that, babble. I understand most though, I don't think you're really suppose to understand the specifics but just a general idea of what they're trying to do

the way wrenches mask is to build according to the game is that the mask reads his facials and with some fancy recognition code couples it to emojis on his visor but if you want to build this you might have the slight issue of screens not being transparent and not seeing a thing + reading facials that up close is very hard
I just love how Marcus keeps putting drones and a bunch of other heavy shit in his back pack and it just disappears completely It's like Batman' s utility belt, like there is no way anyone could fit all that gear

Love it how they went into the detail of him reacting to oncoming vehicles (2:45:07) but they didn't realise that going undercover whilst still wearing a FUCKING DEDSEC hat would be a bad idea.

However here, it doesn't feel as big of a finale, and its just Deuche getting arrested. No fighting back against them, no struggle. Just feels empty. I was expecting more from Deuche. The enemies from WD1 were more memorable. All in all; okay story, but boring main bad guy, and less then stellar ending.

Call me crazy but the morbid end of WD1 really was spectacular, with your final choice being rewardless yet, for me at least, kind of being as a guideline to how my version of Aidan acted afterwards, killing Maurice making him vengeful and hardcore, and freeing him making Aidan almost never kill anyone unless I had to.
Personally, I liked the first Watch Dogs game better. I'm not sure if it's because it was darker or not... I just wanted there to be a moment like when Lucky Quinn stabbed the one dude in the neck.

Toure Evelyn why is it so hard for people to understand that most TH-camrs get the game days, sometimes even a week or more early. Hell most TH-camrs had the game on Thursday but were under embargo until Monday and couldn't post the First mission until Monday. Personally, I liked the first Watch Dogs game better. I'm not sure if it's because it was darker or not... I just wanted there to be a moment like when Lucky Quinn stabbed the one dude in the neck.

Toure Evelyn why is it so hard for people to understand that most TH-camrs get the game days, sometimes even a week or more early. Hell most TH-camrs had the game on Thursday but were under embargo until Monday and couldn't post the First mission until Monday. So many waiting until today to post any because they didn't want it to be all disjointed. They probably finished this the day they got it if not the next day and have been waiting to make the video public until today.
