A textbook example of the "Rufford Rattle", the death wheeze of an engine that knows it doesn't have long before it goes beyond to the great motorway in the sky.
@@IgorTravelsTheWorld yeah I know - but nonetheless think of you can afford a RR you can also afford driving it. The license plate looks expensive too.
Very nice that you showed the road up to the ford and all the warning signs. With all these warnings in place, I expect the insurance companies will reject the claims?
That's like saying because there's a warning sign for example a weak bridge then you can't claim if the bridge collapses 🤨 When you insure your car it doesn't exclude driving through flooded roads, nor will it tell you how much water will damage your engine, whether there's a warning sign or not it won't make a difference.... Your fault or not, you put a claim in your insurance premium is going up either way so the insurance company will always win
@@philipglancy8593 I think it's a very grey area. At least in my country (NL). The insurance policy doesn't exclude it, but there is a general paragraph about negligent or careless behaviour of the driver. If the driver does things from which he could reasonably have known or expect that damage will occur, then it's not covered. This would be a perfect example for an insurance company to use that paragraph: the driver was warned more than once. Don't know how this is in the UK though.
4.50 new range rover discovery loses number plate, in a car (supposedly) built for these conditions !! was really built for au pairs to take the kids to school in central london....
Rule No1. Never ever ever ever drive into a flood at speed. Slow and steady but you'll probably ruin your catalytic converter dumping it in cold water. The Rolls Royce driver knew exactly what to do.
Why would so many drivers heed the signs when they choose to ignore All the other road sign as they demonstrate their RIGHTS to drive just how they please.
A sign advising drivers to proceed slowly without creating a bow wave would be more sensible but ruining the spectacle for the screaming kids.......water, air intake = hydro locked engine. Entertaining but cant believe some folks stupidity.....
Sadly soon all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.!!!! (BABBVEN LAWS AND TEBBVEN ORDERS)!!!!!!!
People are idiots. Do Insurance companies refuse to pay for repairs on vehicles? or in the event car has blown engine due to connecting rod bent due to hydro locking refuse to pay out Insurance?
That Chisel Mercedes at the start - the guy was determined that there should be no part of that engine that should survive.
yep, it just hurts hearing it run
He has zero mechanical sympathy
Yeah that hurt my ears yes I was listening with headphones
Bent rods🤣
A textbook example of the "Rufford Rattle", the death wheeze of an engine that knows it doesn't have long before it goes beyond to the great motorway in the sky.
That mercedes van in the beginning is beyond fucked
That Rolls Royce took getting called a land yacht literally, just sailed through the water with the smoothest wave I’ve ever seen.
He did everything right: technically and with style. 🙂
Oh the irony of the recovery company being called Richford. That Ford certainly makes them Rich 🤣
At least the Rolls Royce driver knew how NOT to destroy his engine.
That was a masterclass in crossing the water 💧 👌 👏
@@moonlight5050 The masterclass is, just drive through it very very slowly, then nothing will happen.
@@freddy7700 unless the water is deeper than your intake in which case you will destroy your engine.
@@paulharrison2325 yes, for sure, I know that, I once wracked my engine with that... :-((
Excellent tour of the signage, thank you!
The recovery truck driver is an expert at reversing with all that practice.
Loved the name ‘Richford’, he certainly is getting rich from that ford!
Probably drives there several times a day 🤣
Love you guys in great Britain... from Washington dc ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
here's some love back 💖💖💖💖 stay safe out there 👍
Oh man the sound of bent connecting rods on that Mercedes
Is there something in the water round there? Even the Audi driver with the tow row can't drive
The child said "It's dead." LOL😂
Ah, I wondered why the police pulled so many people at the ford. The end of your video answered my question. Thanks 👍
I can’t believe someone drove a rolls Royce through there!
Did it better than the majority of other cars though!
It's a car at last. Why not use it as one?
@@apoplexic23 because it’s cost 350,000€ or more and the repairs costs are like 5k for an oil change.
@@IgorTravelsTheWorld yeah I know - but nonetheless think of you can afford a RR you can also afford driving it. The license plate looks expensive too.
Obviously enough warning!!
Thanks for the update!!
RR Flood ...Uber😊
In most countries it's illegal to ignore signage incurring penalties.
Thanks for showing us, unbelievable indeed. 👍🇦🇺
guy towing at 1.36 is a lunatic 😂
Love the way people think the tapping in there engine would just go away 😂
It goes away when the engine stalls.
It will be fine when it dries out
Them kids screaming every single time a vehicle comes is so annoying 😩
Yhh weren't as many kids before but now there's loads, very jarring
you're lucky, you only had 11 minutes, i had that all day and footage thats unusable😥
That's often what kids sometimes do when they're having some fun!
Lol first one we'll knackered
Ahh as said.,
the Rufford Rattle 😊
Someone left a chisel in that Sprinters engine :0
Very nice that you showed the road up to the ford and all the warning signs. With all these warnings in place, I expect the insurance companies will reject the claims?
Got to wonder what people might be putting in their claims. I hope the insurance assessors are by now very familiar with these and other channels!

Very sharp picture....from across the pond mate! Hey, was that last car your Local MP....like here, they are the ones with money!!!!
Люди с техникой как будто вообще не дружат😄 Ещё и разгон берут перед лужей😄👍 Все авто жалко которые пострадали в данном видео)
Another good video 👍👍👍
Thanks 👍
That is the sound of an healthy engine.
Man that lake is so polluted from this i love it😄
All them screaming kids 😒
Only the R R know how to do it.

Year 2022 and people are still doing it !!!
That 1st one sounds more like no oil ever has been in that motor.
Try the Mitchel r crossing in Qld
chiselwood van ,he thinks hes tapping the chisel , i hear you knocking but you cant come in
Do insurance companies get hold of the footage?
Most insurance companies don't cover this type of damage and most mecanics can tell that the engine was damaged due to water
At the speed some of them are traveling at, I am surprised that there doesn't seem to be any collisions entering from that curve.
Thse kids screaming must go to St Trinians it's there half term 😂
The van sounds like an apache helicopter
8:02 😁

Pop a go pro under the bonnet of a car going thru the Ford to see what happens!
The water should be getting shallower with so many number plates lying in it.
plenty making it thru' but also not entirely unscathed, a lot of reg plates lost !!.
Жаль, что мужик на Роллс Ройсе не устроил нам звук стучащего двигателя, это было бы очень дорого)
Зато на Мерседесе устроил.
9:30 you welcome
If that RR was pink & FAB 1 , I would have understood it going through.....
why dont people ever learn if your engine cuts out never try to start it again hence the van at the beginning
Stupidity.
I wonder if they ever find human brain bits in the water?
It’s a warning.
My Porsche goes through at 2 feet with not issues.
These people should not be allowed to drive
The new Mercedes engines run a bit rough eh?
Did you filmed it with a brick?!
This would of been alright to watch if there wasn’t so much screaming going off lol
Don’t understand why people floor it so water comes all the way up the bonnet to the windscreen and all the water goes into the engine bay
Why?!
Because humans have an innate desire to achieve and be the 'first' to do something, anything.
0:20 гидроудар. Они это понимают?
Rolls Royce. Das Auto.
Das boot, more like..
If everyone just went slow they would mostly make it unscathed
If your engine stalls in water, IT IS SCRAP-no exceptions.
Teaching the kids, at least when they are older and get cars of their own they will know not to drive through this
It might be funny and entertaining to slam your foot down, but the reality it translates a hefty engine rebuild repair bill and lost work.
Nice knocking sound in that Mercedes, - completely brain dead..
The car can be repaired no cure for the driver
Why would so many drivers heed the signs when they choose to ignore All the other road sign as they demonstrate their RIGHTS to drive just how they please.
A lot of these would be fine if they just went slow and not make a tidal wave in front of the car
