Because of police advice, the local council has decided to close rufford ford for safety reasons. According to local reports, there are plans to redevelop the road in the foreseeable future.

This guy could be the very last auditor here, with his Top Gear like commentary, they've shut it!!! I can now cycle through it on my mountain bike without fear of being run over! My tour and loop of Clumber Park and all the surrounding woods and countryside shall now extend to this, hats off to Nottinghamshire District Council!

They’ve closed the ford permanently until they find a solution. Surprising as since it’s been dredged it’s been nowhere near as deep. I’ve been watching cars get stuck in there for 15 years, sad times!
