It was nice to finally meet you Adam, (We walked back to the cars together) You are a genuinely nice guy and huge respect for putting in the time driving all the way over here to come visit this place and for standing in the rain, cold and wet all day. Atleast you got a free shower from that madman 😁 I hope you finally got home safe dry and warm. I look forward to part 2 with hopefully that white VW madman and the Peugeot madman! Tom.

(1) the maintenance of the water course is within the landowners remit and is usually carried out to improve drainage (2) like usual the idiots spoil things for the rest. Am truly not surprised that "the locals" have got somewhat pissed off with the antics of the fools.
Only a matter of time until someone is killed there. The speeds some people go through , with kids running around was frightening.

They've now closed this road for the foreseeable future!
Because of police advice, the local council has decided to close rufford ford for safety reasons. According to local reports, there are plans to redevelop the road in the foreseeable future.
They will make a bridge when they will have money for.

Bridges have existed for almost 3000 years, but the amazing civil engineers of great britain thought it would be a brilliant idea to make a road that goes into the river. Among many other crimes against engineering.

This guy could be the very last auditor here, with his Top Gear like commentary, they've shut it!!! I can now cycle through it on my mountain bike without fear of being run over! Sooner or later, someone was going to seriously injure or kill someone after losing control. A series of speed bumps might still allow farm vehicles to use the ford. while slowing down the idiots. Think blue Defender who, by the way pooched his engine.
A Nottinghamshire ford has been closed to all vehicles with immediate effect amid "increasingly dangerous and irresponsible driving" through it. The Rufford Ford near Ollerton regularly ends up being at least two feet deep in water, but many motorists still try and go through it.

Police have closed the road to all vehicular traffic now thanks to people roaring through at ridiculously high speeds at low water.
Now closed indefinitley due to dangerous driving or so the BEEB say.
They’ve closed the ford permanently until they find a solution. Surprising as since it’s been dredged it’s been nowhere near as deep. I’ve been watching cars get stuck in there for 15 years, sad times!
It got too dangerous, people speeding, and even a motorbike tries to blast through, causing them to get thrown off rather forcibly.

Honestly I always thought that this is one of the most stupid road in the world,not because of the water but because of stupid people whoo try to pass it too fast or with too low cars for the water level,for the farmers with truck and tractor is ok,but for the others one is the must stupid thing to do,killing your engine for a quicker road route maybe😂😂😂and plus the bonus video footage for TH-camers😂
