The berry picking scene was really a "social media vs reality" type situation that I truly appreciated! Foraging for black berries in a handmade ceramic bowl may sound romantic & aesthetic AF, just watch out for the pricks 😅
I love the idea of a shallow berry bowl!!! I always have to transfer my berries in a flat plate with a paper towel after washing them and now I just have to throw myself one of this! Thank you for the tutorial! I just finished making a ramen bowl from one of your videos and waiting for it to dry to be bisque! You are such a delight to watch!
Handles are great on colanders because you can set them on a larger pot so you can catch your rinse water. Use that water to water your plants. Enjoy your berries. I know I will because ours are ripening here in Northern California.
I recently made my first berry bowl and a small jug for whipped cream. I call my set “berries and cream” and I’m obsessed!!! 🤩 Yours is beautiful and now I want to make a slightly larger one for pasta!!
And by the way, do you ever cut a slot into the foot ring so that water doesn't get trapped inside the ring? I find it makes for drier berries... and thanks for another interesting and well-crafted video!
Aside from the pottery, I love the shots in the backyard and around London!

Always a delight to listen to and watch you in your studio.

Lovely Berry bowl😊 I must get picking, but not much sunshine to ripen them this year! So waiting for a late summer 🥶🤣
Hi! With the wheel rotating, a wire that's only half-way through will have already cut off the whole pot.
So it just makes it easier to cut when it’s wide?
@@MaeCeramics In my opinion/experience, yes.
And by the way, do you ever cut a slot into the foot ring so that water doesn't get trapped inside the ring? I find it makes for drier berries... and thanks for another interesting and well-crafted video!
Oh that’s a good shout! I do that with my soap dishes but haven’t for my berry bowls. Next time!
Yes, I do the same with a small plate to set it on for drips
You gave a final caress to your colander when you set it on the drying shelf. So sweet. ❤
