    Oh Yeah !!! My mother used to make this for me around 75 years ago and as we had a dairy farm we ate it with fresh cream and home made ice cream. Great memories so thanks for sharing your recipe with us. Bushyboy Oz.

      I have no sugar or salt pickles and no sugar banana bread. Try banana pancake. Just whip 1 banana and 2 eggs and fry like pancake, no other ingredients. Use a truly non stick pan like the ballarini. It's really tasty!

    TH-cam recommended your lumpia recipe to me, which hopefully means your channel will be recommended to many people and grow even more! Looking forward to watching many more of your recipes. I hope you have already reached your 4000 hours, and if not may i make a small suggestion to ramp up your hours:
    experiment with at least one recipe video doing ASMR and title it something about “Chinese Grandma prepares (such and such) meal”.
    Your calm personality is already relaxing to viewers and ASMR is very popular.
    Mahalo for all of your hard work and for continuing to share your knowledge. It will be a treasure for your grandkids and their kids...and the rest of us too.

    Can you make chinese puffed rice?

    • @HawaiisPickleLady
      @HawaiisPickleLady  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, tong mai is very complicated and you need special equipment. You have to half cook mochi rice, separate the grains,dry them then fry small amounts in hot sand. You need special wooden molds and pour hot syrup over. Many more steps. There are only a few ladies who make and refuse to teach even if you pay them.

      I remembering eating it From a large tin container in the family room at my Po-Po & Gung- Gung house in the early-mid 80s. Texture was Hard, but crunchy..Sweet, little bit salty with peanuts.
