You could use some basket for your desk stuff so you don’t see them through the glass doors. Good job! There is always stuff to declutter.

Best Buy and Staples both do electronic recycling! If you don’t have a Best Buy near you they have a shipping program, and you buy a box from them and send it back.
I took a bunch of stuff to recycle to Staples a few months ago, and they made it super easy.
Most cities offer free E-waste recycling as well.😊

Kids yes, but also the decluttering mindset I think. When you’ve started to declutter you’re thinking about what things you actually use and what just collects dust. And then you get to declutter even more 😉 it’s so inspiring watching your videos! Amazing job with decluttering the toys 👏👏🌟
It’s really a slippery slope once you get started. I start looking at things I actually use now too and wonder if I can get rid of them 😂
@@CatherineElaine 😂😂 yes! And sometimes we do have things that could use something else for. Like for me, I never use an Apple slicer, I always use a knife. There is no point for me to own both 🙃

You can actually have the glass replaced in that IPad. You may be able to get those cameras fixed if you wanted. If you don’t want to just trash them.
Hi Catherine! I like to revisit spaces that I have already decluttered because I can be emotional about things so it depends on my mood on how much I declutter that time. So it’s nice to revisit. You did a great job!

Bravo to you! My son and his wife are expecting their first child and I can only hope they take the same attitude as you and husband regarding video games. Love your video! As for your broken cameras, some camera makes/models can be worth selling on Ebay for parts. Also, I had the same problem of having to straighten up certain areas a lot because I didn't put them away in the 'right' spot (in the right place/drawer but not in the container). I found that I couldn't have closed containers in drawers, I needed open ones and be able to throw things in. If it takes longer than 5 seconds to put away, I just don't. If you are a visual organizer (you need to see the items or they don't exist) I would recommend acrylic bins for your camera/office supplies. It is amazing how just having a bin to throw an item back into makes it look better and easier to put away.

Hello CE. Another great video. Very inspirational. I too have a similar cabinet which serves as functional and decorative (but doesn't stay very decorative looking for long). I ended up putting peel and stick paper on the glass panels. Just very neutral ones with a floral design. Looks like patterned glass, so doesn't entirely block the view of the contents of the cabinet.

Catherine❤ It does feel so good to declutter! I did a large attic declutter last week and it started difficult, but after I started putting stuff into trash bags it gets so much easier to do!
Yes just getting started is the hardest part!
I would do electronic recycling at best buy, office depot or office max.
I would be over the moon to find Montessori toys at a thrift store, so yes, you are going to make a momma very happy!

I think if i were you i would put a etched glass film on those cabinet doors just so its hidden away. Even if its neat its not like its decor. Just my two cent, but you do you. Love your videos. thanks for making them

I think toys and/or kids clothes really are great items to donate because as you know they are so expensive new.

Try not to accumulate stuffs on top of all cabinets; otherwise it looks messy.
I have one binder for each kids to keep their school works such as report cards, certificates, special drawing for their entire elementary / high school years. This way they can have their special memories kept and it is clutter free.
BTW, enjoy watching the process that you cleaned up and organized so much! Keep up the good works as we all do! 🎉😊
Once upon a child, which is a kids consignment store, will buy kids toys and toys for cash the same day. I do this a few times a year. Might be worth it to try that if you have one near you.

I have also thought about my spending habits and try to think twice before I buy. Sometimes it works but other times…I’m a work in progress. My biggest problem is with my Halloween and Christmas decor. I can let so much stuff go but it’s hard to declutter that stuff!

I don't save toys anymore either. I have 3 girls who are pretty much back to back sizes so they each have one small "grow into bin" and we have one shoe grow into bin. Saves my sanity!

I was thinking about you last night and the video you posted yesterday. I started cleaning some things out at home and had the same thought about how social media and emails snag people into buying products they might not even need. I am sucker for a sale or deal, so when I get overwhelmed or stressed or think something isn't organized how I think it should be because I had a grand idea, I end up with so much stuff I never touch, but I'm storing. I do wish we had more donation areas and more convenient hours to make those drops, but I am working on it.
That’s a Super Nintendo btw haha, it’s the second Nintendo console.
I love video games for kids. It helps them with problem solving skills and there’s games like mi ecraft that they can just be in “creative mode” and they can just build like crazy. It has helped my son with spelling too cuz he has all the items available to him and if he wants something specific he can search for it. So that helps a ton.
We don’t do shooting games, but the newer Mario games he would need to read the screen to know what to do and stuff so last summer it helped his reading skills a ton.

Hi, see if your transfer station - town / city / county offers electronics recycling. They will take broken devices and recycle device battery, chips and parts. Good luck!

Donate the toys. Salvation Army is a good place to donate.

Well usually kids only end up interested in the things we expose them to, so if I don’t introduce him to them he won’t even know they exist 😂
